The Aztecs. I have always been fascinated by Cortes and the Aztec empire. This book is an intriguing synopsis of his exploits - not overly long but detailed enough to give meat to the bones of history. The story does not glorify Cortes but neither does it diminish the warrior life of the Aztec empire. I enjoyed this book. Thanks!
Excellent book and fast read. This book will take all of the info you thought you knew and enhances it in a way that makes this era much more interesting and meaningful. I can’t wait to go to Mexico again and travel to these famous sites of battle.
Flat. To me this book seems so pro Cortez and like the old cowboy and Indian days made the indigenous people come across as stupid!
