Call Me, Maybe by Ellie Cahill Book Summary

“Ellie Cahill is definitely one to watch!” raves bestselling author Cora Carmack, and this steamy, upbeat modern romance about connecting in all the best ways proves it once again.

Clementine Daly knows she’s the black sheep. Her wealthy, powerful family has watched her very closely since she almost got caught in an embarrassing scandal a few years ago. So when Clementine’s sent on a mission to live up to the Daly name, politely declining isn’t an option. Of course, the last thing she does before boarding the plane is to grab a stranger’s phone by mistake—leaving the hunky journalist with her phone. Soon his sexy voice is on the line, but he doesn’t know her real name, or her famous pedigree—which is just the way Clementine likes it.

Despite all the hassles, Justin Mueller is intrigued to realize that the beautiful brown-eyed girl he met at the airport is suddenly at his fingertips. They agree to exchange phones when they’re both back in town, but after a week of flirty texts and wonderfully intimate conversations, Justin doesn’t want to let her go. The only problem? It turns out that Clemetine has been lying to him about, well, everything. Except for the one thing two people can’t fake, the only thing that matters: The heat between them is for real.

Sweet and Adorable!. I loved this sweet, adorable story. This was my first Ellie Cahill story and it definitely won't be my last. I couldn't put this story down. It was funny and heartfelt with great lovable characters in Clementine and Justin. They become completely wrapped up in each other in a swoon worthy romance and both of them find that they have never felt like this before. I liked the the push and pull they had on each other, it made for some really nice chemistry. There was a wonderful build to their relationship and I thoroughly enjoyed how it all played out. I also loved the clever and original storyline it was something I have never read before. A sweet, entertaining, feel good story, that made me oh, so happy. Highly recommended! I would like to thank Love Swept and NetGalley for a complimentary copy in exchange for a honest review.

Ok premise. This is one of those books I consider “cute”. As she was rushing to catch her plane, Clementine accidently takes Justin’s cell phone. When she looks down at what she thinks is her cell phone, isn’t she surprised to see her phone number displayed? Since they are only going to be gone a week, Justin and Clementine work out a plan on how to handle this mix up. During that week they begin calling each other. This is the beginning of their relationship. Eventually they meet in person. I like Justin more than Clementine. There was too much of the poor little rich girl mentality. Plus she has a lot of insecurities and could be a little immature at times. Because she was a little suspicious and jealous about a phone call from a woman looking for Justin was just childish. Why was it fine for her to keep things from Justin, when he was nothing but honest with her? Overall this was just an ok book for me. Nothing wrong with the storyline or writing, but nothing that stood out from others. But I would read other books by this author.
