Fun Read!. First book in the series. It's about blending reality TV with women in Regency era garb; with men building Hobbit style sustainable housing. Very fast paced and fun to read. Needless to say I plan to read all of the books. BEL

A Seal"s. Oh such a story of love and heated discussion concerning the land they both loved. They worked out their differences plus find love for their friends. Cora seton is a magical writer and her scenery was just as good.

Downright boring and awkward. This book was a pure disappointment. The characters seemed extremely unrealistic and didn't seem to have any connection. The whole plot seems embarrassing and silly, and the girls just act ridiculous. I would not recommend.

Steamy Jane Austen!. Can’t wait to see what happens next.

Cringe worthy. The women are cringe worthy. No one in their right mind would dump all their possessions and move to a place that wasn't even confirmed to be available. The regency stuff was absurd. The main heroine Riley was a selfish disaster. She kept focusing only on herself and how her uncle didn't leave her his estate, she couldn't afford it but she was mad at him for not giving it to her. Boone is trying to create a sustainable lifestyle so that he can help the environment and the world. She's so focused on beauty and insists it's not a luxury...when it comes down to it, it is a luxury. This story was unrealistic and I can't seem to force myself to even skim through it. The female characters are all unlikeable and Riley is the worst of all of them. She's self-centered, immature, with an unpleasant demeanor.

A must read! I couldn’t put it down.. This is a wonderful book. I couldn’t put it down. I love all of Cora’s book, but this is by far my favorite. It also contains the best line I have ever read in a romance novel “I’ll love you night and day until you’re carrying my child” (You’ll have to read to see which Horsemen says these words.) Riley has loved Boone since she was a teen. After Boone joins the NAVY they part ways, but fate brings back together. Riley and her friends leave their lives behind to live like the heroines in their favorite Jane Austen novels. The Four Horsemen return to Chance Creek to build a sustainable and run into the Austenites. You must read this book. I cannot wait for the next book in the series to be released.

Great story and very interesting characters keep this book a page turner!. Two worlds collide and then sparks fly! You will remember this book long after it si finished.

Fine. I understand the green concept but the storyline was a bit out there. I don’t think professional women would fall that easily and men shouldn’t hide the whole truth to try and get their way.

Another great group for Chance Creek. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing how this story unfolded. I was aware of the fast pace this writer employs so I wasn't surprised by the fast engagement but that was only part of the story. You get second chance love at a love at first sight pace with warm, funny undertones. I love how past characters are woven in to give the feeling of community. I look forward to the rest of the stories in this thread.

Very unsatisfying. The women in this book are literally the most unreasonable and eccentric heroines I’ve ever read about...did not like it at all

Riley is taking a step back into the past and finds her future.. Riley has made a pact with her 3 friends . Savannah wants to pursue piano, Avery a screen play and acting, Nora writing and herself painting . They all have given up their dreams and now decided to change everything. They all gave up jobs apartments and possessions to move to Chance Creek MT in Riley 's family home West field Manor . They would pursue their artistic pursuits and replicate regency living as best they could for six months. Russ an old friend of Riley's has different plans for The Manor . He is putting together a plan to create a sustainable community development and have people get married and make babies in front of cameras in a reality tv show . If successful he can keep the ranch . Their relationship reconnects and it's off to a bumpy ride until they are finally on the same page. 5 stars great story with a HEA ending and great characters set for the next story.

A Seal's Oath. I have thoroughly enjoyed this book and every book that I have read written by Cora Seaton.

I tried to finish …. but it was just too hokey a premise. Sorry. I never felt ant affinity for the characters and was just not interested in modern people dressing up as Jane Austin characters or Navy Seals creating sustainable hovels. Too much.

Sustainable.... What a refreshing idea when everything today seems disposable. Friends, time, products, etc., to imagine some group dedicating themselves to help forward world peace! Quite a challenge, or gauntlet, if you will, to be writing about! I love the idea, the story, the characters; all of it! Brings the challenge to individual size and level!

Love it. What a cute and interesting concept with the men and women at the base camp. I love the Jane Austen theme for the women and the Seals trying to find women to marry them so they can own the ranch! Can’t wait for the next installment!!

A Seal’s Oath. I was extremely happy when I finished the book. It put me to sleep several times. It did not hold my attention. I gave it 2 1/2 stars. The book was totally unrealistic!

Just NO. Couldn't make myself finish this book. I was embarrassed for the girls the entire time I was reading. Bonnets? Seriously?! The plot was boring and unrealistic.

Couldn’t carry on. I rarely not finish a book, but I could just not carry on with this one. I even regret the time I lost with the 80 pages I read of this. Absolutely ridiculous and cringworthy story line and I couldn’t connect with characters.

A Seals Oath. Started reading book and found the idea of Jane Austen was too much. Annoyingly so. It would have been a much better story without the regency part. Enough so, I stopped reading as that factor was exceedingly annoying. The story would have been enjoyable otherwise.

A Seal's Oath. Cora Seaton does it again. Start to finish an excellent read. Takes you to another place and time in today's mad world.

A Seal’s Oath. I actually enjoyed the book even though its premise was a little far fetched and some of the Regency aesthetics were inaccurate. As a Scott the one glaring error that bothered me was the character of Angus McBride. He’s described as being Scottish yet is name is spelt as McBride and not MacBride. The McBrides are Irish while the other is clan MacBride, a sept of Clan MacDonald of Clanranald. The two are not related at all anywhere in history nor would they live me being confused. Other than that glaring error I read the book cover to cover in one sitting and enjoyed.
