Steamy! & Suspenseful!. Steamy & suspenseful! 4 stars. I felt the beginning was lagging a smidgen, but I didn’t read Book 1 first, so that could be why? But by about halfway through til the end I couldn’t put the book down! I definitely say give this one a try, if you like steamy scenes & suspense, you’ll love this installment from LCH!

Bad sales pitch 👎👎🙅🏻‍♀️🙅🏻‍♀️🙅🏻‍♀️. Didn’t make me really wanna read this to find out what happens. The summary was choppy and messy.

Superior romantic suspense thriller!. Take a small isolated town on the coast of California, add a very attractive Deputy District Attorney who literally crashes at the feet of the Police Chief's estranged daughter, and a small town scandal that sends shock waves throughout Lost Coast Harbor and you're in for a superior romantic suspense thriller. Erin is an ER nurse who dreams of opening a mental health clinic after growing up watching her mother struggle with bipolar disease that forced her to grow up way too soon. Will is desperate to serve his time in this backward little town so he can go back to prosecuting important cases instead of the petty crimes in Lost Coast Harbor until he meets Erin and everything changes. Soon Will is caught between following the law or ending his romantic relationship with Erin and that's when things really get interesting. This book is totally worth staying up late and losing sleep over! I was especially impressed with the secondary mental health disease storyline because it's a subject that's very close to my heart and very relevant in our society today. I read a complimentary copy of this book and all opinions expressed in my voluntary review are completely my own.

An interesting and suspenseful story. What an interesting and suspenseful story! It begins with Emergency nurse Erin Gray meeting Assistant DA Will Patton when he crashes his bike in front of her as she is out for a run. Will has been transferred to the town of Lost Coast Harbor due to his promotion and becomes involved in an investigation of the local police department. Erin is a strong, independent woman who has close ties in the town and is the estranged daughter of the police chief. Her circle of friends includes Maddie and Bree that we met in the first book, however, this book can be read as a standalone. As the investigation heats up with suspicion of the chief's involvement in police corruption, so does Will's romantic relationship with Erin. They quickly become an item and their romance is complicated with twists and turns in the investigation. I loved the suspense, romance and the interesting and complex characters in this story. I was given an ARC for my honest review.
