Great!. I couldn't stop reading this book. It is so well written and riveting! What an explosive ending!!!

A great book until the end. I don't understand why there was the need for the great plot twist. It was very compelling and then it turned into a bunch of nonsense. I liked it until the last 10 pages and then it felt like a waste of time.

Domestic abuse warning. The book was well written. I wish it’d had a warning about domestic abuse. It may be triggering for readers. The twist at the end surprised me and I did feel it was insightful. Having never been in an abusive relationship, this was eye opening.

Wow. During this entire read i kept reminding myself how blessed I am to have a caring,loving and understanding husband. The ending was something I never saw coming and had to re-read the beginning of the book and ending again to be sure I got it right . This book just goes to show that things aren’t always what they seem .

Between you and me. I absolutely loved the book, up until the ending. The plot twist was nothing what I expected. It left me feeling like I read the entire book incorrectly; making me unhappy and a bit frustrated. The rest of the book was wonderfully written.

DUMB!. It was really great up until the last two chapters. If this author thinks that just changing the pronouns makes it shocking, she’s wrong! It was just confusing and stupid! Sal’s name is Sally, Sal was pregnant...you can’t just suddenly make her a man to turn your story in husband abuse

between you and me. WHAT??? changing pronouns is totally confusing and did nothing for the story, plot line, or social commentary. Fix the last 2-3 chapters...

Great book until the end. I agree completely with the other review with the same title. The plot twist makes the read seem like a waste of time.

Abrupt ending. An easy read sharing both sides of the story. Lack of depth in touching on Charlie’s past. Super abrupt ending.

Between me and you : Lisa Hall. The age-old story of a controlling relationship but with a surprising twist. Written from the perspective of the two main characters Charlie and Sal, I liked the way you get an insight into the thought processes of each person. I quickly developed an emotional attachment to the characters (both good and bad) as you feel like you know them. I struggled to put this book down and was genuinely surprised by the ending, which is my favourite thing about this book, it made me look at the way I myself interpret the things that are right in front of me! I had to go back and re-read some of it just to make sure I hadn't missed something. I would definitely recommend this book.

Oh. Well the book is a good read. Tedious after a while but still an easy page turner. The ending I have re read 3 times and still can't understand. If someone could explain that would be great! But it's just a shame that it's not clear and don't feel like I've finished the story

Not for me.. Sorry but the so called psychological twist you won't see coming was obvious in the first few pages.

Good read but unfortunate. This book is a great read. I thoroughly enjoyed it but was very disappointed that I figured out the 'Twist' about half way through. Maybe not mentioning that there is a twist on the front cover would eliminate the desire to figure out what it could be before the end.

Poor. The 'twist' was predictable from the first page. The prologue would have been better left out to give at least some element of surprise to the ending. Despite this, it is still a page turner.

Gripping. Thesis one of those books that inevitably leaves me feeling irritated by the story that is so often played out in real life. However the style of writing and the plot were brilliant. The twist at the end was a little confusing, but just read on, you'll get it!

Between you and Me. Disappointing and repetitive as the story switches between the two characters so the reader can see both perspectives - made it boring and found I skipped sections , thought ending was rather obvious .

Twist and fail. I was enthralled in the storyline until the "twist" came. It didn't make sense with the wording of the story throughout. Disappointing.

Editing. This is a really good book, except for the fact that the last 3-4 chapters get slightly confusing with referencing to Sal or Charlie. Proof-reading before submitting the book for publishing would've probably helped a lot.

Didn't see that coming!. Suspected this was an unusual family set-up! Thought it was two women in love but how wrong. I liked the way the diary entries flowed seamlessly from one to another- one starting where the other finished kept the drama going and the need to continue reading! Loved this book in spite of the violence.

Boring. I found the book very boring and repetitive with each chapter referring back to the previous chapter , nothing excited me and made me look forward to reading the book , all in all it was not an enjoyable book

Good read but spoilt .... The book was a good read and not subject matter I would normally choose. My only criticism was the warning of a twist that the reader won't see coming.. By saying this statement, the reader is then trying to spot what it might be and after the first few chapters I had guessed and spent the rest of the book with this in mind and proving my theory ..so there was no surprise twist.. Just a confirmation of what I had guessed. Which spoilt my complete enjoyment of the story. Please, please publishers don't spoil the story by promising a twist!

What an Ending. This was one of those books I just couldn't put down. Once I'd got to the end I had to stop and ask myself if I'd missed a chapter. Turns out the twist was just that good. Very good read.

Didn’t like the twist. I suppose it is a clever book but although thought provoking I didn’t enjoy the twist, because then the book wasn’t how I thought in a disappointing way.

"A twist you won't see coming..??". Downloaded the sample on iBooks, the tag line sounded intriguing. 10 pages in, it's already the most obvious twist I've ever read. Glad I didn't buy the book...!

Read this book...totally worth it!!. There's few greater pleasures in life than when you find a book you struggle put down then when you do, can't wait to pick it up again. This is one of those books! I disagree with the reviews already written which state the end is confusing...I absolutely LOVED the shocking twist at the end! I'm now away to find other books written by Lisa Hall, as I'm now a massive fan!!

Between You and Me. A thought provoking book, well written, with a really unexpected twist at the end. A few repetitious moments, but I can see why they were included. Hope readers of the book keep the secret, just like the Mousetrap folk, for the benefit of those who haven't read it yet!

Wow. Don't even think about it... Just read this book

No twist at all!. This book is just tedious! The so-called twist is signalled right from the beginning due to the clunky way it is written and the two sides of each event lack any real psychological pull or intrigue. Save your money!

What happened at the end of the book???. I didn't know if I was reading from Charlie or Sal. Everything seemed so mixed up. I loved the book until then. Kinda spoiled the ending for me.

Very interesting!. A very interesting read!! Like others have said, the twist at the end did make me re-read a few chapters, but it was definitely worth it! The author has been extremely clever while writing this book...a must read!

Not the page turner i expected.... Started off good then went downhill. Glad i didnt pay more than £1 for this book. Seemed as though the twist was an afterthought as some of the things said in the book clearly suggest otherwise. Should have been written differently. Wouldnt recommend.

Awful. This is a very poorly written book. Primary school pupils can use language tools better than this author. And the last chapter - why has no-one corrected the obvious errors where husband becomes wife and she becomes he. Don't waste your money...

Amazing revelations. I'm not one to write reviews I just had to with this one. I knew there would be a twist based on the blurb and reviews but could not work out what it would be. I was beyond shocked when it came out albeit a little confused until I read on a little further. When it hit me I gasped out loud! What a fantastic way to get you thinking about society and the assumptions we make. Brilliant read. Dark, harrowing and hopeful all in a novel.

Twist?. This book was ok... The storyline was not bad but the author makes it extremely obvious what the the twist is in the style of writing, I was 99% sure of the twist about 5 pages in? 😕 maybe if you weren't warned of a twist on the cover it wouldn't be so obvious...

Twist you can see. I wish these books wouldn't be advertised as 'the twist you won't see coming' as it alerts you to the fact that something is not as it seems and to me the twist was obvious from the beginning. That said, this book was good and had me so hooked I read it from start to finish on a flight.

I've read lots of books and nothing has made me feel the need to write a review net alone a fantastic one- buy this book, sit back and wait for the penny to drop...

Do Yourself a favour.... .... Do not waste your time reading his book. Nothing happens! It's a drag of a book with a really pathetic 'twist' at the end. Please, steer clear of this book.

Amazing, riveting read!. Couldn’t put this down. Never saw the ending coming at all, which is very rare. Great characters and the plot so well crafted. Highlights that domestic violence is never acceptable. Highly recommended.

Charlie/Sal. Was a great book ! Just some confusion towards the ending in regards to the genders of the characters.

The ending!. First book I have ever read and been seriously so shocked by the end...I loved it! Only thing that didn't make sense is why wasn't Charloe jealous of Laura...

How about that ending!. Between You And Me is billed as “A psychological thriller with a shocking twist you’ll never see coming,” and they are right. I was caught completely and utterly unawares by the surprise twist referred to when it comes at the end of the book. Be warned though, the novel portrays powerful scenes of domestic violence and abuse — both physical and psychological. Readers who have experienced this type of behaviour may want to give the book a miss.
