An affair in winter. I skipped through a lot of pages in this book because parts were just plain boring. Did have a decent story. Just could’ve been better with more dialogue and less fluff.

Amazing. I love it

A very satisfying treat. One of the best!. Maybe it's because I have been reading 60s and 70s romance novels lately, but this is the best romance out of the last 30 I've read. The plot is familiar and predictable - yet very well told :) Her sexual scenes are very sensual and hot-as one wants. More satisfying, her scenes between the sexual encounters are equally sensual and satisfying. A very enjoyable read!

spicy romance. I liked everything about this regency romance…I loved the drama,the comedy,the mystery and the romance was scorching hot! I definately recommend this regency romance.

Interesting story.. The story was interesting and hot. I felt sorry that the girls had suffered so much abuse by their grandfather. Women had it tough back then. Although the story is romantic, I wouldn’t want to have lived in that timeline. I am happy that today we chose who we marry and can divorce abusive spouses, support ourselves and so many other freedoms we take for granted.

.. Was pleasantly surprised by this story! There are several parts throughout the book where the author does a great job of capturing true emotion. The characters, along with their backstories, are well developed. The different plots planted for other stories within the series were presented in an interesting and cohesive way. All in all, a very good read!

Pretty good character development, reasonable plot. But the author doesn’t give the feel of the period: it might have worked better as an Edwardian setting. There are a couple of spellcheck/autocorrect typos, probably not the author’s fault. I really did like the nice people and hated the grandfather. My sperm donor was also a manipulative, often venal man, so I understand him and his granddaughters’ need to escape him, and how difficult it was.

So good!. I love Jess Mickaels! I love the fact that I know when I pick up her books that I'm going to love them. This book did not disappoint! Lord "Gray" Grayson and Rosalinde "Mrs. Wilde" Fitzgilbert have both been through hell. After watching both his brother and sister almost loss their lives because of marriage Gray wants no part of that. Gray has vowed never to fall for a woman. Rosalinde and her sister were raised by their mean spirited, vile controlling and manipulative grandfather. Who never had a kind word or action. On the way home in hopes to stop his brothers wedding, Gray is stranded for the night at an Inn due to a snowstorm. In walks the mysterious and breathtaking widow, Mrs. Wilde. Instantly drawn to each other the share a meal and a night of passion that they've never known before. Knowing they will never meet again they part ways in the wee hours of the morning and head to their final destinations. Little did they know they would meet again they next morning to celebrate the wedding of their siblings. The marriage that Gray's vowed to stop and Rosalinde vows will take place. Sparks will fly. Undeniable passion unfolds. Secrets are revealed.

Well Paced and Interesting. It’s not often that your average romance novel comes with a gripping plot, but I found this one to be a page turner. I also appreciated that it was well paced and that while the individual traumas of the two leads caused an obstacle to their relationship, it was not too drawn out or ever painted as totally insurmountable. That in combination with their intense chemistry made them feel realistic and relatable.

A Jess Michaels book of course it’s great. I always enjoy a Jess Michaels story , she tells them so well .Her writing grabs you from page one . He sees her in a crowded inn he has to have her and so he does , its supposed to be a one off night of passion .it’s sensual , sexy and hot and the scenes are so well done . Great story too loved it as so many of her books are .

A great story 5⭐️. I hadn’t read any of this authors work before but I enjoyed this book and therefore would highly recommend it. A lot of twists and turns with some romantic parts too! 👍🏻
