Not his best. If you have never any of his books, don't start with this one. It will leave you saying "meh" and you will never read any of his older books. If you really love his books, don't read this one. It will disappoint.

Fun Read, yet again. Continuation of Andrew Yancy the roach inspector, he is at it again. Definite read!

In a word; boring.. Droll, boring, and tries way too hard.

Deus Ex Machina. In a mystery/comedy. Never quite know what is going to happen next. Highly recommended.

No. Him Hiaasen is a very talented humor writer but he has chosen subjects for this book that simply are not funny. Extortion, murder, terrorism, kidnapping, mafia, assault, racism, bigotry. These aren't funny. He is reaching, and sold his integrity for money. A shame really and a waste of my time and money

Didn't disappoint. I'm a long time Hiaasen fan and this book didn't disappoint. If you are looking for serious literature go elsewhere. If you are looking for a bizarre romp with well developed and crazy characters in a great location with constant, clever pokes at everyday life this is for you. I don't know where he comes up with this stuff but I hope there is another in the works.

Razor girl. Must read. Stop wasting time. The best storytelling. Just get it, read it, and feel great.

Not his best work. I have been reading his books for a long time and look forward to new releases, this one was not his best.

Razor Girl. Why oh why with the untold number of editors and proofreaders available to this publisher is the misuse of karat, a reference to the degree of fitness of purity for gold, used for the reference to weight of a gemstone; specifically the diamond in this book? It was and is a heinous oversight. Only in the U.K. is carat used interchangeably weight weight and purity.

Another Hiaasen Winner. Even if you don't like South Florida you've got to enjoy this author's tales. The characters are colorful and the action engaging. Hiaasen is consistently entertaining. This is one of his best.

Squeeze Me. This story was ridiculous

Not his best work. Yancy, like the author, succeeds in spite of himself: does in the (hapless) bad guy and wins the girl (a consolation prize). You get the impression that Hiassen is just stringing thoughts together randomly. Occasional humor as Yancy blunders through the plot but no suspense or drama to speak of; unfortunate for the reader, considering the entertainment to be enjoyed in the author's earlier works.
