I loved this book.. I could not put this down. Stayed up into the wee hours three days in a row to finish it. Loved it so much.

Great story. These books are fabulous. The story and characters are charming and funny. The mystery surrounding everything is suspenseful. I’ve really enjoyed reading these books and can not wait until the 11th book in March. This would make an awesome movie.

Really good. I finished this book weeks ago, and have read several more since, but this one is still stuck in my mind - standing out among all the others. I walked away determined not to pay for book 2, but I can’t hold off anymore. I must know what’s going to happen next. I highly recommend.

A really fun, sweet series. I have now read the first three books in this series and am starting the fourth. I really love these books. I enjoy the storyline, characters, and magic. I love that each book picks up right where the last one ended, and it’s been an enjoyable journey. The main ensemble of characters has so much personality, you’ll feel like you know them.

Magic. A very interesting story! I was riveted by the story of magic and watches. Meet Matt and India as they try and find a very special watchmaker. India is a watchmaker but lost it all when her father dies. She runs into Matt in what used to be her father’s shop because she was betrayed. From there we start the mystery of the special watchmaker. Meet Cyclops, Duke , Willie and a few more people. Yes, there are plot twists to the mystery and , bits of humor, the beginnings of romance and lots of action. I enjoyed the book and look forward to reading the next in the series and recommend this book!

Fun and engaging!. I purchased this book on a whim and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The mystery along with the dashes of romance make this a light-hearted and fun read. I look forward to reading the other books in the series.

My opinion on the book. I’ve just finished reading the book today,and here’s my opinion on it.I’ll start off with the main character,India!India was really well written in my opinion.The writing was better than most wattpad cliche main characters.The concept of India was confusing though when I first read it-due to the lack of words I understand in the text.I’m not trying to hate for using words I don’t understand,it’s just that it confused me and probably some other people.Now I’ll be focusing on the story concept.It’s unique-it can also help me write my own story as inspiration.I’ve never seen a mystery book that had such humor at the start-and that’s what made me continue reading.And also I’ve never seen a person get back at their ex in a story.The storyline was amazing for a book made in 2016.Now I’ll focus on my main problem:Cliffhanger.I was really excited to read this book yesterday-I checked the reviews too;one admits to a cliffhanger.I didn’t care at first-as I thought it was a lie for people to not read it.But the fact you would add a cliffhanger when it’s a series kinda disgusts me.Again,this isn’t hate,but please try to avoid a cliffhanger when you have a full series-and this was the first one I read in this series!I think it said the FULL book costs $0.99 or $3.99.I don’t remember-but understand that you have a full fan base for this series but end such a unique book on a cliffhanger and make them pay some money.It makes me think you wasted time writing and making people think a good artist wrote this in 2016-when you just end it on a cliffhanger for no reason.That’s my concern on the book.Have a good day/afternoon/evening/night/midnight.

Blown away. Absolutely LOVE the story line and everything! I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!

Loved it!!!. This book was amazing, this is my first time reading the author and I loved the book. I was very invested in it too.

Was on the edge of my seat. This captivating tale of two drastically different individuals who realize they have something that connects them is riveting.

Essentially Nerve Wracking. India Steele has a feeling that she'll be able to make Eddie Hardacre pay for breaking their engagement and keeping her father's Watchmaker Shop, but her female profile is annoyingly ignored again. The customer in the shop Mr. Glass hears her ranting and physically hauls her out of the shop, after he states his claim, so he then can kindly handle his business with Hardacre. When Glass leaves she notices, from her position outside, a bright light shine from is sleeve toward his being and thinks it odd. The inquiry he made about locating a very special watchmaker may or may not have to do with what she saw. A series of occurences to do with societal place and happenstance veers Miss Steel's story to a position of abandonment. She holds tight to her ideals of behavior and pursues her own security, while experiencing questionable affronts to her working class stature.

Nora Williamson. I am very very very very extremely excited to read this book 📖!!!!!!!!!

Sluggish and unsatisfying. I just saw that there are 10 (!!) books in this series but this one ends in basically a cliffhanger. So I’m wondering how many of those 9 other books you need to read to get some closure on the initial problem of Matt’s watch not working right. I liked the concept, the idea of the story line. I liked the author’s writing, but at the same time the story was just very slow for me. I was annoyed that it took the entire book before the main female character, India, a highly qualified watch builder (!!), attempted to fix the watch. It also annoyed greatly me that she was conveniently in the right place at the right time to constantly walked overhear important conversations. Seriously, All the time. Nearly every chapter she came up characters talking about something important that they were withholding from her. Overall I really liked the “feel” of the story, but it’s not enough for me to invest $4.99 for the next book let alone for each of the remaining 9 books.

Well done. This was well written and kept my interest.

Love this series!. At first I wasn’t sure how I liked it since the magic is much different than every other book, movie or show I’ve ever seen but that’s why I like it! It gives you a different perspective on magic and I like that it’s also a murder/mystery series with a dash of romance as well! I’ve read all of the books except the newest one that hasn’t been released yet (book 7) within a week and a half. Highly recommend. People need to know of this series!

Great Work!. Overall, it’s a good book! I picked it up as something I wasn’t even sure that I would even enjoy but now I’ve already bought some of the books that come next in the series. The reason that I don’t give the novel a five-star rating is that some of the scenes I feel were stretched out at times. I write short stories however so I go understand sometimes it’s unavoidable but from a reader’s perspective it’s boring. I recommend it if you’re looking for something new but don’t want to spend money!

Great Little Read. Not the kind of book I usually read but it was a sweet story to follow and an easy read, with a little touch of it all: intrigue, drama, mystery, even a little romance... just a little disappointed with how it ended so abruptly. BUT, that being said, discovering there’s more to come made the disappointing ending easy to accept and made me keen to read the next “chapter”.

I have fallen in love with a new author.. Three books into CJ Archers works and I am absolutely loving them. I am very well read. And apart from Jean Auels Clan series, I can't remember a series that I've been so looking forward to reading. I love these books.

Fab!. I really enjoyed this book and couldn't stop reading it until I finished. The characters were really well thought out and quirky, I really got a clear image of them all whilst reading

A Good Read. Written to paint a version of a pre-industrial London, this novel has interesting characters and several strands of plots. The females are strong and chafe against the restrictions of their society. The males are a mixed bag, yet they endow the scenes to reflect a wide range of traits. It’s a good read, with intriguing elements that I am sure that you will enjoy.

Entertaining. This was a very entertaining read kept me guessing and completely intrigued without being g too heavy, I struggled to put it down looking forward to book 2

Blown away!!. An absolutely amazing read! Brilliantly written and so captivating that I couldn't put it down no matter where I was! The author's writing style really takes you back in time to the period which it is set and it feels as if you are walking alongside the characters. Without hesitation I've already purchased Book 2 in the series (which I'm sure will not disappoint!) and look forward to reading the remaining books too. Fantastic job well done, thank you to the author for transporting me to a magical time and allowing me to escape just a little from reality.

amazing. As someone who rarely reads books because I always get bored and can never quite finish them, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. 100% would recommend!!! The characters are complex and the story itself is face paced and suspenseful. I will definitely be checking out the rest of the series and the authors other works !!

Meh.. Predictable one dimensional characters. Odd “sexy” bits between the two main characters that really weren’t believable. It didn’t really go anywhere. I found myself having to force to push through to the end and it didn’t even resolve. Not overly enjoyable.

Plot. It was good until the end. The book just ends abruptly without any resolutions to the main storyline.

Awesome book. I downloaded this book as the free book of the week. Glad I did! It was an awesome read! I suggested this book to my local library and am happy to say they purchased the first three books! I have now found another favourite author.

Magic appears in Victorian London. Miss India Steele has suddenly found herself in dire straits. Her father trusted her fiancé to provide for her and so left his house and his watchmaking business to him. The scoundrel broke his engagement to India within hours of her father’s death. Mr Matthew Glass is an American who recently arrived in London. He is looking for a watchmaker who he met 5 years earlier in Mexico. He and India meet in her father’s old shop while he is making enquires and she is trying to ruin her former fiancé’s new business. She knows many watchmakers in London so he offers her employment as his assistant in his search. What does she know of Mr Glass? Is he connected to the American outlaw The Dark Rider, who is also a recent arrival in England? What is different with Mr Glass’ mysterious watch?

Okay, you got me. I’ll be buying the next one for sure!. I started this with low expectations as it was a free download but I ended up enjoying it immensely. Anything that keeps me reading well past bedtime passes my test. Mystery, intrigue, a touch of magic and hints of romance all work with the cast of interesting characters to make this a worthwhile read. Looking forward to reading the next one.

Beautiful. ‘The Watchmakers Daughter’ has to be a must read in the future for all 8-14 year olds! A hooking story with captivating lines and chapters. Every single morning, I would spend three hours read a couple of chapters, the same at noon! Definitely buying the next one!
