Great premise...that said..... I liked the idea of this book, so I gave it a chance. Meh...overall, very disappointing. It reads like a first draft. The structure is practically nonexistent, interesting characters are suddenly abandoned, plot twists are predictable, characters even more so, and there is only one moment of worthwhile emotional content, hence 2 stars, and not just one. This book needed another two drafts and more time in the writer's "oven". It's unfinished, unpolished, and sophomoric. Shocking that it was actually published. Perhaps the problems stem from the localization into English, but even so. Won't read this author again.

Impact. The book impact was very good. I read Andreas Christensen series exodus and rift And this book told the reason why many thing happen in the 2 previous series of book. I love how he writes all his books in his future world. The books remind me of Isaac Asimov.

Impact. Those familiar with Mr. Christensen's prior work will immediately recognize this short novel as filling the gap between his Exodus series and the Rift sagas. The characters and action develop via a series of short but effective snippets that constitute the chapters. The prose is lean but quite adequate. Through the book one finds people both lovely and despicable, forward thinking and clueless. The net result is a tale that moves along quickly and leaves one enthusiastically looking forward to the next reading session to find out what happens in this all-too-plausible scenario.

Impact. I’ve enjoyed Mr. Christensen’s books for a few years having discovered his sci-fi writings on I books. You can say I’m a fan. Impact was imaginative, well written and plausible. As usual I’m anxious to finish this series.

Andreas Christensen is making an Impact!. The Exodus Trilogy tells the story of a small group of selected people who leave Earth, prior to the impending impact by Devastator (a rogue planet that is on a crash course for Earth) in the hope of settling on a new planet, Aurora, millions of light years away. Impact picks up with the stories of the people left behind on Earth and tells the tales of the survivors over the period of time just before Devastator's impact, during, and briefly after. Impact takes place many generations prior to the Rift Saga (the clash between the remaining Earth people and the Moon people), and ends where the history that ultimately leads up to the Rift Saga begins. There are many questions that are answered in Impact and so many more questions raised. These three series, The Exodus Trilogy, the Rift Saga and now, Impact, are inextricably intertwined, and, as a whole, are epic in proportion. Don't miss out! This series is a must read for any Sci-Fi fan.

Solid take on an old story. World War Z feel to the fast-paced storylines. I recommend.

Impact. I have thoroughly enjoyed each of these series of books. Andreas Christensen is writing futuristic novels, which bring the reality of the current situation on our planet to the forefront. His prose and style have held my attention from the first book. Great reads.

Impact. Keep it straight & simple ......each book keeps getting better and better. The really annoying bit is having to wait for the author to produce the next book!
