So Raw and Dark..... I love this story and I can't wait until the next book to come out... Pepper Winters so such an amazing author!! The stories that I have read by her are so amazing!! Even though all the darkness and rawness of the lives in the story!!! I feel in love with Elder and Pim from the beginning. But as the story goes on it's like I came falling!! I seriously can't wait for the next book!!

LOVE!. This book was everything I hoped it would be and then some! You learn so much about elder and you will fall in love with him!!!! Leaves you wanting SO much more! I'm saddened I have to wait to read the next book! I need it now!!!

Dollars. The story is dragging. Unnecessarily long and getting nowhere.

*gasp* mouth wide open. This book a whole cliffhanger, all of it! You’re on the edge of your seat the entire time. I feel for both of the characters’ emotional battle. Can’t put down this book and just when you are rewarded with more it ends......

So frustrating. This author drives me crazy with all the filler words she uses. The way she writes she constantly repeats the thoughts of the characters and they are the same thing over and over again. I found myself just scanning pages looking for quotation marks trying to pick up the pace. I do enjoy her stories but there needs to be more substance and much less meaningless prattle. I should also point out there was no sample. All I got were a few pages advertising her other books and not even 1 page of a sample. I hope this isn’t a new trend.

That ending!. That ending made me hard but at the same time shed tears! I didn’t even know such an emotion existed until this author demanded it from me. How Pepper Winters is able to do this is beyond me. While the first book is pure tragedy in its rawest form, Dollars is all about redemption. This book deserves every recognition I can give it for bringing me to my knees with desire and then somehow feel guilt for wanting it. Just amazing. I’ll be continuing my journey as I read the series. If you’re reading this, what are you waiting for?

Good story but slow. I felt like this second book I was just waiting for something to happen. Anything. It never came until the end and even that was, meh... I'm still buying the third to see if the story picks up but I have a feeling it's going to be slow and predictable.

One of the best series this year!!!. Love this series. This book is so intense yet page-turning. I love both Tasmin/Pimlico. She's a head-strong person. But I love Elder equally, especially when he plays cello. I love cellos (that's why my Goodreads name is Lovecellos. I'm still playing cello on a daily basis.) With cellos as an instrument in the story just makes this series to be one of the best series this year. Can't wait the next book, Hundreds!!

Brilliant. Life Changing Story

Tragically Beautiful!. I'm a HUGE fan of the author's work, and as usual, Pepper Winters doesn't disappoint with Dollars! I read it from cover to cover within the first 24 hours of its release date and I'm STARVING for more! Elder and Pimlico are tragically beautiful! I cannot wait til Hundreds is released. Phenomenal job as always!

Dollars (Dollars Vol 2) -- Pepper Winters. Theme song: "Just One Yesterday" by Fall Out Boy Elder came back for Pim, but not for her--for him. Her silent strength seized his attention, drew him in without her consent, and overpowered their will for distance. But now that he has her, the entire game has changed. Pimlico belongs to him now, but he is not her sordid master. He is her rescuer, her care provider, her saint sheathed in shadows and secrecy, and a complete conundrum. To Elder, she is an antidote to his aloofness but the poison to it too. Regardless, her fortitude and brokenness seep into his veins, corrupting and confounding Elder. Trapped together at sea, there's nowhere to run or hide. For either of them. While Pennies presented the physical horrors of Pim's captivity in Crete, the second installment centers the repercussions of having lived in constant purgatory. In Dollars, we venture into Pimlico's long road to recovery and integration back into society. It lagged a little for me in certain parts, but that is probably because I prefer intense scenes. The ones that make you have to turn the page to see what happens next. This book is also sincerely dark. It is not an erotica, so if that is what you're looking for, I'll direct you to the Tears of Tess. Comparing the Monsters in the Dark series to Dollars, the former seems grayer in comparison. They both have intensity, a dump load of sexual tension, but split between committing to the physical act. Dollars nor Pennies get hot and heavy in the way MitD does; it is deeply character-based. It explores how two damaged people must steal each other's secrets while sorting through conflicting internal emotions and trying to cling to their sanity. All that said, Dollars is an amazingly written novel! Compact with description and depth while steadily evolving the characters, I loved the prose and structure of the book and the emerging romantic dynamic between Pim and Elder's complicated relationship. While I preferred the first novel over this one, Dollars introduces the goal of the following books while withholding enough to pique interest. You are so gifted.... When I know one of your books is being released. I know better than to start the first chapter unless I have NOTHING scheduled the following. I was so excited that Dollars came out the day after my birthday. This was my present to myself. As usual I get lost in the tale you weave and hours disappear.So here it is 1am..I'm sniffling like I have a cold, but I'm just so blown away. Please release Hundreds early I'm not sure I'll last teetering on this cliff till May. Blessings~Devon

Dollars.... I was intrigued and hooked by the first book, but the second one hits deeper then the first. It invites you into the main characters world a little more and the interesting love story really begins to show.

Hmmmm. 🤔🤔🤔🤔 not as good as pennies, but 3 stars for peppers writing. Story line was good, but it was more about pim and how Elder helped her to heal. Emotional book more then dark which is not pepper. 😏😏😏😏 Enjoy gx ❤️❤️❤️

I knew this would happen!!!!!. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? I live for your books, pepper. Every time a new series comes out, I read the first (just to whet my appetite), then wait till all of them have come out. I then, pause, can I?... have I got time?.. I’ve waited months for this moment...that moment has arrived!.... huh... world war 3 happened?? A hoard of zombies invaded our village!!!! Ok. It didn’t. But it could have and I wouldn’t have had a clue!!! I’ve got 3 books left and it’s Monday and I’m plotting when I can sneak away to continue reading lol. Thank you, thank you, thank you for another riveting series. I have never found another author who makes me ‘feel’ what I’m reading like you, pepper. You’re not for everyone, but you’re definitely my cup of tea ☕️.

Thoughtfully brilliant!. I'm completely addicted to the mystery, intrigue and thoughtful nature of this story. Everything about the story, characters and writing is so intricate and eloquent. It’s so easy to get lost in the story and it’s pretty much impossible to speed read. I have to read slowly to process and savor all the deep thoughts and feels, sometimes re-reading a paragraph to fully comprehend the depth of the idea. I had so many involuntary epiphanies throughout the story. So much thoughtful brilliance. Dollars does not contain any of the graphic violence found in the first book, Pennies. Instead if focuses on Pim’s physical and mental healing and the developing bond between Elder and Pim. They seem to be caught up in some sort of strange dance of one step forward and then two steps back, trapped within the confines of an endless power struggle. Elder clearly has some deep and dark secrets, but all we get are whispered hints as to the truth of his dark past and what he truly wants with Pim. I'm completely dumbfounded as to what those secrets could be. This series is slowly ripping me apart with mysteries, emotion and a slow burn laced with equal parts hope and despair. I'm dying for the next installment!

Beautifully Written. As a fan of Ms Winter's books I am pleased that this 2nd book in the series does not disappoint. Pim/Tamsin and Elder are both complicated people living a combination nightmare/beautiful life. The only problem I have is I have to wait for the next part of this Machiavellian tale.

“Dollars” by Pepper Winters. Words can’t describe how brilliantly this author describes each and every emotion that is expressed by Pim and Elder. He is so incredibly intuitive. She seems so irrevocably scarred and yet they somehow are managing to heal themselves. Beauty at its most pure. This is a book, like “Pennies”, deserving of a standing ovation.

Not book two.. This is a duplicate of book one! Waste of money. 😡

Breathing. Dollar (#2) better than penny (#1). Silence that shouts. And she spoke at last. Couldn’t keep down.
