The Amulet Thief

The Amulet Thief by Luanne Bennett Book Summary

Returning to the place where you were born—after vanishing into thin air—is bound to be eventful, and there’s no guarantee what you’ll find when you come back.

Abandoned in the middle of America when she was a child, Alex Kelley has come home. When she gets off of a plane and ends up in a familiar little shop in Greenwich Village where the merchandise is odd and exceptionally rare, she’ll unleash the secrets that have been waiting for her since the day she disappeared twenty-one years ago—the night her mother was viciously murdered.

But some family secrets are best left buried, because Fitheach blood doesn’t just run through the veins––it’s a binding contract that can never be broken.

Find out why every stranger on the streets of Manhattan wants to get their hands on the pendant she wears around her neck—the one her mother gave her days before the murder.

WARNING: This is not a standalone book. THE BLOOD THIEF continues where The AMULET THIEF ends, and THE DESTINY THIEF will culminate into the stunning conclusion to a story that will have you glued to the pages until the very last word. Get some sleep while you can.

- Truly a horrible read, the book was all over the place.1 star

Truly a horrible read, the book was all over the place. Too much time spent in the characters mind and nothing actually happening and then when something did Alex would “black out” only to come back to it in her memories. I’ve never rated a book before but I had to warn others to not wait their time. ing did Alex would “black out” only to come back to it in her memories. I’ve never rated a book before but I had

- Confused1 star

Prepare to not have any idea what is happening and the book not making sense for 70% of the book

- Ridiculous plot with lots of sexual tension2 star

The heroine spends far too much time naked and unconscious yet somehow never actually has sex consensual or otherwise. She makes ridiculously stupid decisions. She blacks out at the drop of a hat. Supposedly she has a great memory but she’s got huge holes in it. Her protector has a serious problem with controlling her and withholding information from her which is very unattractive yet she is drawn to him anyway. Nothing about this story makes any sense.

Great book! Confusing at first, but pulled me right into it for the ride. I couldn’t put it down. I had to buy the rest of the series to find what happens next. Great read !

Mesmerizing story line. Loved the characters especially Greer, but he was very puzzling. Had a very hard time putting the book down to accomplish other tasks in my realm . Can’t wait to devour Blood Thief.

Gads! Poor writing style. I don't know if the edit cut huge swaths of print out but a lot of scenes are so poorly written they leave you lost to how events occurred. The plot is sound but the execution is lacking.

- The Amulet Thief5 star

First part was good but there was no second or third boos to this Trilogy nor could I purchase the extra books that were supposed to be in this Trilogy. Not impressed as a matter of fact pretty ticked.

- Grammar and flow atrocious2 star

Potentially a great story but the sentence structure and flow can be disjointed in parts. I found it difficult to read at times.

- Enjoyed this one4 star

Really enjoyed it. Nearly gave it 5 stars but felt there was a lack of connection between the brilliant mystery and the so so love story.

- Ok2 star

Interesting but it jumps around a lot and I found some grammatical errors.

- The Amulet Thief5 star

Slow starter, but fascinating once you get used to the way it is written. Now for book 2

- The Amulet Theif5 star

Fantastic book, had a hard time putting it down even for sleep

- Tha amulet thief5 star

A mixture of Harry Potter and Twilight. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

- Great book but...4 star

This is a fantastic book but why would you give us the first book in a trilogy on iBooks but make the other two books only available on Kindle? It doesn't make sense and has really frustrated me!!! Not a happy reader!
