GCO BOOK CLUB. This was a great book to read! It had everything in it ! Can’t wait to read the next one!

Kind of dumb. This book is kind of stupid. Like, all of the characters have a warped way of thinking. Shell being attracted to Cade and falling into bed with him right after he killed Larbi was just weird. And Cade becoming a contract killer instead of seeing a psychiatrist is just weird. And the sex after gruesome scenes was..you guessed it..weird and dumb. Shell literally kissed Cade when he had blood splatter on him. Some of the sex scenes were just unnecessary. And what kind of adults over the age of 25 are so piss poor at communicating that they think that they’ve been rejected by one another, but they’re really in love? I know that this is a work of fiction, but this whole thing is too implausible for my taste. I read the whole thing, so I’ll leave some stars, but I constantly found myself commenting on how dumb this book was. And don’t get me started on Ice. He’s probably a psychopath and someone would have picked up on that when he was young, since he was in and out of the system. The likelihood of him avoiding prison and becoming an assassin are slim to none. And psychopaths typically don’t become attached to people the way that he was attached to Cade. Ugh

decent. I liked this because the characters are messed up and raw and real... ish. I mean it’s far fetched of course, but the main characters definitely feel more developed than many characters in similar books. I liked the hitman story line, and plenty of “clutching my pearls” moments 😉

Ripper. The book was a good read overall. Some of the sex scenes were not necessary.

It was so amazing. I loved this book so much! And the reference to “Of Mice and Men” made me cry because that is my favorite book. All around a great story!

Great read. I loved the book but wish it had more of an ending versus leaving us kind of hanging. Otherwise great read could not put it down!

😐. Wasn't the best read, I found it stupid and unrealistic in several parts

“Ripped” by VJ Chambers. I’m not sure if this book is meant as a spoof or not, but the hitman is seriously careless and Shell is dumb. And Ice and Cade together? Hilarious. I guess, overall, the story is pretty funny. I love how they rationalize everything.

Dark hit an Romance that will get your attention. Talk about a nice hitman! Cade believes he’s unlovable and he’s born with a need to kill, like Dexter (I loved that comparison). After he abducts Shell he lets her go but can’t stay away, he saves her from another hitman. The story moves fast and has hot sex scenes and a very happy ending!

Hooked !. It was so good I literally finished it in two days. Did not want to sleep at all - it was amazing!
