A Seal's Pledge by Cora Seton. ARC copy for honest review with no compensation. Another Chance Creek book that takes you on a journey….this one is about Harris (Hawke) and Samantha and is the third book of this series and continues with the TV reality show that has to do with sustainability living, finding brides and having babies on a timetable. Harris falls for Samantha when he sees her, he has come to the airport to pick her up and take her back to the ranch to marry Curtis as he drew the short straw. Hawke knows he should take her back to the ranch but he feels that she may be his only chance at love and having a family. So he does something that goes against all the rules of the show. Samantha (Sam) has decided she wants more in her life than being the insignificant daughter, while watching the reality TV show on sustainability she comes to realizes there is more to life than being on a bus with her parents band. Sam signs up for the show and leaves without anyone knowing where she has gone. She was chosen as a backup bride for Clay, then Curtis but when she is picked up at the airport the man is none other than Hawke...the man who caught her eye while watching the show. Can Hawke keep Sam for himself or will he have to take a back seat and let Curtis marry the backup bride??? Cora Seton has another well written book that keeps you guessing in what direction the story will take you! ! ! ! ! Looking forward to book #4 in this series! !

Love Chance Creek!. I'm really liking this series. Cora Seton is really getting me interested in this sustainable living idea. Harris is unsure of his place within the compound, and really unsure that he could have a wife and family. Samantha is unsure that she can live with her family anymore and decides to marry into the Base Camp family to find her place in the world. I could not put this book down, which is pretty much true for all Cora Seton books. Can't wait for the next SEAL's turn!!!

A Seal’s Privilege. Another winning book in this series. Seriously this story is a must read! The author has maintained the integrity of this series with this well written and engaging story. Can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

A SEAL's Pledge. This is the third book in the series about a group of ex-SEALs who are building Base Camp which is a sustainable community. A group of women are living on the same property. These women are living a regency lifestyle. Building this community is being filmed for a reality TV series and is being funded by an eccentric billionaire who has made several demands on the groups in order for them to keep the funding. The men must be married within a year with three of the women becoming pregnant. This story is about Harris who has always been a protector and Samantha who was looking for a stable life since she has always traveled with her parent's musical group around the country and never had roots. When Harris picked Samantha up at the airport, he fell for her immediately and they married right away. He knew this would cause problems at Base Camp because she was suppose to marry another man there. It's also against the show rules to marry without being filmed. I wasn't really enthusiastic about the idea of this series with the sustainable community and the women living like they were in Jane Austin's regency time but the more I read about it the more I liked it. I love military men in stories so the ex-SEALs hooked me right away. The regency lifestyle for the women still seems odd to me but I like the way the couples get together. I just knew the s**t would hit the fan when Curtis found out that Harris married the bride intended for him and couldn't wait to see how that worked out. That led to a very creative twist in this story. I liked the well developed characters in A SEAL's Pledge. I admired Samantha for leaving the life she had for one she knew almost nothing about and agreeing to marry a man she'd never met. It was nice to see her strength of character once she was away from her family. I liked Harris' protectiveness for everyone but felt sorry for him because he so badly wanted to belong to something/somebody. He was a hard person to know because he didn't talk much but kept to himself. Please note that even though I received a complementary copy of A SEAL's Pledge I am voluntarily reviewing it as I do with all the books I read.
