Exciting. Great hard to put down.

Terrible. I could not wait to get done reading this. I started and hoped that the ending would make it better but I was wrong. It ended on a cliffhanger and then I find that there are 11 more parts! I will not be reading them. The dialogue doesn’t flow like actually speaking does. The thoughts in the character’s minds seem to be word fillers to make the story longer. It’s quite often the same thoughts over and over. This makes me think of something a middle or high school student might write.

Just what I needed. Sometimes I’ll fall out of reading and need a certain type of book to pull me back in. This was just right. It was a relatively easy read but kept my attention and had my favorite fantasy element of magic. I enjoyed the characters, story telling, and plot. It felt like a well put together world that I’m excited to continue exploring in the next book of the series.

Awaken by Rachael Aigden. I was Throughly smitten with this fresh approach to a paranormal thriller with characters that popped off the page. Myself a twin I definitely related to the phenomenon of a shared language and mind concept only twins can understand. Looking forward to the next book. KSW

Awaken. This book is amazing. I love it

For young readers. This book seems aimed at kids in their tweens and possibly a little younger. Some YA books are enjoyable for me even as an adult. However, this style of writing is definitely aimed only at children. For young readers, I think this could be a pretty interesting book.
