Breathtaking, couldn’t stop reading. One of my absolute favorite Judith mcnaught books. Whitney my love takes you on a one of a kind emotional ride . Please read it Judith is the original Bridgerton. Her books are timeless.

Years later and this book is still on fire!. I read this book so many years ago as a paperback. So you can imagine my surprise when it showed up one day under my recommendations as an ebook. All these years later and this book is still one of my favorites!

Disapointing and Annoying.. I found this book to be repetitive and the characters immature and insecure. Though out the book I kept saying: "not again, really, come on, and have you learned nothing”. I didn’t even finish reading it after the last misunderstanding over her pregnancy. Because the book is so long, I waist practically a whole day.

Classic!. Love as always!

Beautifully written. Entertaining funny crazy a beautiful love story one I can truly relate to :) I loved the length of this book also the story was a complete read beautiful full ending please write more like these :)

Does not age well. I understand this was her first but I cannot stomach the way violent sex is approached and explained away. Her other books a better.

Must read!. Love, love, love this book. One of my favorites.

Story telling structure. This is by far my favorite book! I love the story telling structure and how after you finished reading there are no loose ends to anything that happens in the story. I felt the emotions the characters were having as my own! That’s how deep I was into this book.

I literally stayed up all night.. This is my first book by Judith McNaught and wow, so not my last. Just finished Kingdom of dreams and it was just as good as this one. So, yeah read that one too. There are a lot of misunderstandings and angst in this book. (My favorite) So many that I said "really?" at one point. I actually wasn't sure who Whitney was going to end up with in the end and that is amazing for a romance novel. The suspense of who she would choose was what ultimately kept me awake three nights ago. Didn't go to sleep until 6:00 am. Clay seems to have trust issues for some reason that is not explained. He's a great character with a few flaws. (Nobody is perfect) Whitney is wonderful, head strong and stubborn and oh so funny. Also insecure. Most of the secondary characters were funny, nasty or charming and added a lot to the story. Highly recommend this book. It's got so much more than the typical romance books. Very refreshing way of story telling, suspenseful and intriguing. Highly recommend this author.

Roller coaster for sure.. I’d read the reviews of other people and let that cloud my mind to reading this book. I read it anyway. Yes some of the things that happened in this book could’ve been avoided by simple conversation. But then that wouldn’t of made for a very good book. The book was well written and worth read.

Great book!. Amazing book! Couldn’t put it down. A lot of conflict.

Whitney my love. It was a wonderful experience reading the fast-paced, exciting and great dialogue of the many interesting characters in this book. It was so easy getting lost in the storms of desire, intrigue and worlds of Paris and England society. The author’s use of words to pull the reader into this exceptional book is worth every moment of reading it-thank you Judith McNaught for this adventure 🥰

Crazy good. I read this book in hard copy, along with many of her other books over 10, maybe 15 years ago. Since then I have read over 3000 books...and still consider this an all time favorite! It is long and their love story is often times frustrating, just like real life. The tolerant, yet dangerously passionate Clayton, is a man every woman dreams of. He laughs at her antics, but loves her fierce independent streak. When I saw her books available on iTunes, I was like a kid at Christmas! I plan on reading them ALL again digitally. They make the short books today seem weak and watered-down. It could only be better if she came out with a new book with spicy love seems...I'm a grown up now and love the erotica!

Rants and spoilers ahead. I’m mortified to say a friend recommended this book to me. My first extreme disturbance happened at the foreword where McNaught very nonchalantly and unnecessarily mentioned that she had named her main characters after her two children. I couldn’t no matter how much I tried—and boy did I try—to shake off and get past the feeling that she’s using her children’s names to describe people who would eventually have violent sex. Speaking of violence, I don’t understand how or why anyone would find Clayton’s predatory behavior okay let alone romantic!! This character is as if modeled after a psychopath! Yes, I understand there are certain “aggressive” tendencies that make for hot romance but not in this case. He is a predator and a stalker. There’s no two ways about it. And that first kissing scene had my skin crawling with the rape-y undertone. Actually now that I think about it, EVERY male in this book is a sex offender save for uncle Edward. The only reason I kept on reading this book was because I paid for it but even my own spent money can’t get me to finish it. Dropped right after the first kissing scene. Extremely disappointing and not worth you dollar.

Do yourself a favor and read this !. I love Judith mcnaught so much. I have read every book of hers and this will always be my favourite one. This book will make you feel like your in another world and you won't be able to put it down. I can't put into words how obsessed I am with the Judith mcnaught but her books kept me sane somehow and they still do. She is my hero honestly I love her and I haven't met anyone that has a read a book of hers and hasn't loved it as much as I do.

Miscommunication galore. I love Judith McNaught. I love the way she writes, I love the language she uses, and I especially love her historical romances. I’ve been rereading her novels and decided to read the Westmoreland series in order. Kingdom of Dreams is fantastic...Whitney, My Love had me wanting to tear my hair out at some points and I actually cheered out loud when Whitney left Claymore at one point. There is severe miscommunication, things that could easily be resolved with a short conversation that never happens. This leads to Clayton raping her...yes raping her at one point, and she takes him back, only for him to make a another dumb assumption and abandon her while she is pregnant. For me, I’m fine with a dominant hero...but punishing a woman with sex (when she doesn’t understand what is happening) and stealing her virginity all because of a simple miscommunication left me cringing. The story is long and it’s a rollercoaster. And there should be a trigger warning. Two stars for Judith’s writing...but that’s about it.

Touched my heart. Love love love and love, l couldn’t stop reading it and rereading it and rereading, not sure why it touched a special place in my heart Thank you very much for the lovely novel.... for the smart characters for all the people in the novel the heroine Whitney and her strength Plan to buy the other novels of the series Loved it triple much

A Great Story. I absolutely love this book. The characters and plot keep you entranced til the end. A must read!

Best book ever. This is one of my all time favorite books. The people who write hating it must hate masculine men but I love it!

Whitney, my Love. This book was way tooo long. Tooo much unreasonable and unbelievable conflict. Why she loved him was beyond this reader. To force a woman into undressing and sex is beyond reason . Don’t care how badly he feels afterward. This book was not one of Judith’s good ones.

So many issues. The early stages of this book ruined it for me, I almost couldn’t finish the book. So many issues, just plain annoying. I literally just forced myself to finish this book and it got worse and even more worse as the book progressed. I could not bring myself to actually like the hero, he was a terrible person, there was nothing, absolutely nothing to love about him. Judith McNaught is a splendid storyteller but this book is just absurd. once again, for the love of God, stop calling romantic interests or heroines or whatever “little one”. It’s in no way romantic or endearing!! It just reeks of paedophilia.

Whitney, My Love. I've waited decades for the digital version of this book. It has been my all-time favorite romance novel since it was published in 1985. It's one of the longest romances I've ever read and I wish it was even longer.

Well Written!. I can't put it down. I fell in love with the characters. I didn't expect that I would laugh so hard and I'd be pulling my hair the next. It's like watching a movie, but this is more entertaining!

True Storyteller. Judith has an amazing ability to tell a beautiful story without losing the reader. There is just enough of everything in the wonderful story.

4 Stars. From the perspective of 1820 this relationship is oh so romantic. From a modern day perspective this relationship is oh so unhealthy. I guess the theme of this dynasty series is that the Westmoreland men constantly do the unforgivable and then their women constantly forgive them. The Duke is violent, selfish and jealous. Whitney is a submissive mouse with low self-esteem… I will say the quality of writing was great. The characters are well formed and dynamic and the detail adds color and life without weight the story down. Overall I give it 4 out or 5 stars because it was a good enough to make me dislike the characters and be judgmental of their relationship. 😂

Author got somethings right but others wrong. For her time, Whitney was indeed strong. But even in the 1800s, Clayton shouldn’t have been excused so easily. YES England, at the time, was patriarchal BUT IT WAS NOT misogynistic, things were changing at a rapid pace. Within the timeline of this book, many laws have been passed to make things better for women and children. The author would have known, had she been more thorough in her research. For a veteran historical writer, romance or otherwise, I’m disappointed by her oversight. But inaccuracies aside, it was an enjoyable read, I laughed a lot.

Awesome!. A definite page turner!

Doormat heroine. Interesting read...the main character was strong in the beginning but slowly she became spineless. The hero treats her badly still she goes back to him twice! First as her betrothed and after as her husband! She was a strong character in the beginning and was reduced to a beggar in the later chapters.
