Menace. I loved this book. I laughed and cried and couldn’t stop reading

Fantastic Reading. My first time writing a review. I enjoyed following the life adventures in this book. Really pulled me into emotions of this family and what a single parent goes through with a teenage son. Thank you for a wonderful story.

Read as A Stand Alone. I loved the book. I can’t wait to get my hands on the rest them.

Menace. Great book! Loved the characters and the sense of creating and fostering a family, especially the strong father-son relationship. Plenty of heat and emotion! The action storyline was predictable, but wasn’t the main plot and the book stands on its own without it. Enjoyed how the author moved through different times in the relationship to show the MCs getting closer and opening up. Also read and enjoyed the first free book in this series (Renegade)!

Called it. This was so predictable! There was only 1 bad and shady guy for the whole book. There wasn’t a balance between the personal climax between the characters and the plot progression. The last 30 pages the team finally arrested the guy. The author didn’t build up the bad guys character enough to fear him. There was no hardships between the two characters as they navigated their new relationship. The skipping months was annoying since there was many big time gaps.

What a great Story!. The characters are great and the storyline is very good as well. Sometimes it a bit to much in the sex scenes but overall a great read!

Amazing. I loved this book! The story and characters were easy to fall in love with! I definitely recommend it.

Menace. He’s in law enforcement but it’s not all the book is about which is great. I loved the older man - younger woman theme. Will read again!

Nah. I feel like this was set in an alternate reality in which two human beings do not speak to each other normally once throughout this entire book.

Sweet love story.. I loved this book. Mason and Karina’s story is sweet and endearing. I enjoyed reading it.

Menace. Really enjoyed the story of Menace and Karina. It was fun, sexy and endearing. It does need a thorough edit to catch some typos and common grammar errors.

Mason and Karina. Laramie Briscoe is a new author to me. Menace is a part of a series, but this book can be read as a stand alone. I really liked the love story of Mason and Karina. The relationship between Mason and his son Caleb had me weepy. It was great to see a father-son relationship that was strong and unafraid to show emotions. The steamy scenes fit with the plot of the story and were hot! I wish this book had an epilogue.

Perfect!. This book is just perfect! It is a sweet love story that is still filled with page gripping events. I couldn’t put it down and I loved every moment of it. Plus who doesn’t love a hot, devoted, single father love story?!?!

Good, but.... Overall its good but I personally don’t like swearing/abusive language.

Loved it. The characters were fantastic and the story was interesting and beautiful. I loved the family values and good humor.

Heart Warming. This book is filled with love and the struggles the character had to go through. It is filled with love of team, family. This book just warms your soul

High Recommend. Absolutely Brilliant!!! I have read all the Moonshine Taskforce Books and I have to admit I have been waiting for Menace’s story. He is a single dad that has devoted his entire life to raising his son. A son that had his mother walk out on him when he was 2 and never look back. A son that was born when Menace himself was just sixteen. But raise him he did and they both turned into fine men (which we know via the first book in the series). But this book gives us a lot of the details of the life Menace has had for the past 18 years with Caleb but concentrates on the present. Now that Caleb is a senior in high school it’s time for Menace to have a personal life and hopefully find someone to spend the lonely nights with. But where does a guy in his early 30’s meet a good woman in a small town. Well according to Caleb you sign up on a dating app.; so that is just what Menace does. However only one reply (out of a lot of replies) catches his eye. But after a whopper of a first date she ghosts him, and Menace has no idea who she is, only that her first name is Katrina and he want to see her again. Ms. Briscoe has totally outdone herself on this one. Her flare for storylines with romance, suspense, thrills and humor shine in Menace. I found myself, smiling, laughing, sighing, worrying and even tearing up a few times as I read this book. The book is funny, sexy and exciting! It’s definitely a 5 star read in a 5 star series. I highly recommend both the Moonshine Taskforce series and Menace and I am super exciting and anxiously awaiting Caleb’s story.

Sweet book. If you are looking for a sweet love story then look no further. I prefer a few twists and turns but make no mistake the writing is great and I loved the characters

Amaxing. Omg what a great book, had to of been my favourite out of the 5 so far. When is Caleb’s book coming or is it out and I can’t find it I need more. Amazing writing as usual you are probably one of my favourite authors to read

4 1/2 Stars!. Mason became a dad when he was 16 and by the time he was 18, he was a single father to Caleb. Now that Caleb is in his senior year of high school and going off to college next year, Mason decides that it's time to seriously look for someone to spend the rest of his life with, so he signs up for online dating. He goes on a date with Karina and they end up making out in the back seat of Mason's Jeep. Mason though the date went very well and in the days following, he tries to phone and text her, but she doesn't respond. So imagine his surprise when he shows up in Caleb's class to speak to the students about being on the Moonshine Task Force ... oh, did I mention that Karina is Caleb's teacher? Karina can't resist Mason any longer, so the two begin a hot affair. This book is just so dreamy ... Mason just seems like the perfect guy. The banter between Mason and Katrina is just cute and you can just feel the chemistry between them. And then there's Caleb ... a total gentleman for being so young. I can't wait for his story in the next book. This book is a great addition to the series. I graciously received an ARC from the author in exchange for a honest review.

3.5 out of 5. I liked the story overall. I generally like this author’s writing style but was less impressed with it than others she has written. The story was sweet, happily ever after and had a bit of excitement which are all positive elements. The story is character-driven, however, and while I liked the characters Menace and his son, Caleb, there were several significant side characters referenced that there was little emotional connection with. I have a feeling if I had read previous books in the series the nostalgia would have made me connect with them more. Also, while Karina was nice, I just didn’t connect with her from the onset before they moved on with their relationship so that it made the relationship feel shallow. I mean, who ghosts a fabulous man after a fabulous date then runs away and hides making him feel terrible and confused, particularly when it took a lot of courage to make a concerted step out into the dating world after 18 years… does that seem like a person mature enough to be in a relationship or a recipe for success? Mature people communicate. When she repeats ‘who would have thought when I moved here that this would happen’ it grated. Maybe I was looking for more of a deep connection than a quick read and this says more about me than the character or the story and it wouldn’t be an issue for other readers. Nevertheless, the story moves on, has a burst of excitement and is well written as can be expected from this author. I think perhaps I was disappointed because we got off on the wrong foot. When the story comes to its wonderful, natural conclusion with minimal dramatization, the heroine has shown herself to be mature and reliable to her friends and family and the novel ends happily ever after then I am happy for them.
