Daring to Hope. I am still processing all that is to be learned from Katie Davis Major’s words and stories. However, this I can share: as I read, I am constantly inspired and challenged by Katie’s diligence in prayer, her walk with the Lord and in her relationships and humble love and service to the people around her. I would reccommend this book (and any and everything else written by Katie, past & future) to everyone.

Daring to Hope. I am indebted to Katie for sharing her journey with us. Not only in the great things God has done, but in the struggles and wrestling along the way. I wept as I read of her struggles, for they are my struggles too. I ask “why God?” And “how could you?” I say “But you’re God! You could change the rules; or how can you let the innocent suffer so?!” I too want to know God deeply. I want to serve him with all of me. But then I want to shy away from the pain because it breaks my heart. I too want to get past the doubt and the anger I feel towards God. Katie has encouraged me to allow God to break my heart, to face the darkness and trust him that he is good no matter what the outcome. So I thank you Katie for your honesty in sharing your struggles. It encourages me to trust Him too. To go all the way with Him no matter what.

Heart-Warming. I loved reading this book and getting a sneak peak into this woman’s world. Dedicating her life to Jesus and having her faith tested over and over as she serves and loves others in Uganda is inspiring. I often read parts of this book out loud to my daughter at night and it always brought peace. I love her insight into scriptures from the Bible and how they relate to us today. By the end of the book, you feel like part of the family.

Sweet and Vunerable. Daring to Hope is an excellent update on the life of Katie Davis Majors. I greatly appreciated her vulnerability and willingness to share her journey with readers. Each story she shares comes complete with the words God was speaking to her during those trials. It is a beautiful picture of what a life surrendered to the will of God during storms and triumphs can look like.

Amazing book. This book is incredibly encouraging. If you have ever looked at the world and wondered where God is in all the suffering, this book is for you. Katie has lived through suffering and speaks truth about God’s presence and purpose in the midst of suffering.
