A fast paced and fun read!. The action never lets up in this excellent space opera. The characters are easy to identify with and the plot line, as seen through several individuals, easy to follow. Don’t start this book late at night as you won’t want to put it down.

Emergence-Dark Tide. “Emergence” is by far one of the most exciting sci-fi books I have had the pleasure to read in some time. Dayne Edmondson is a fantastic story teller. His character development and interaction is some of the best I have seen. I look forward to emerging with his continuing tales in the Dark Tide Trilogy. Eddie S

Captivating space battles. I enjoy reading about future societies expanding into the galaxy and having to fight space battles to defend themselves against aliens bent on conquest. Emergence is that with some magic or highly advanced matter manipulation built in. It includes Mages that can do fantastic things to help normal humans defend against the aliens. I'm a little confused about the plan hatched by the Earth Federation 2,000 years in the future. Hope it gets clearer in the next book. Didn't give 5 stars due to some rules about how space and physics are not being followed. Concussion waves in space?

Emergence. Really enjoyed this story! In fact, I am happy that the next two books are out for me to trace how it all fits together. Love the characters and their interactions and how magic is interwoven with science ant technology. Great book!. I was really immersed in the world, and felt as if I was alongside the characters! Great job!

Unrelenting Action. It is difficult to imagine a future military without projectile weaponry. I mean, the cutlass is still in the armory of the USA Navy today. This space opera is almost one continuous battle throughout the whole book. Truly a tome for adrenaline junkies.

Interesting plot and fast paced. The only complaint is the story is pretty short. But a fun mix of sci fi military space opera with magic creates a unique story universe blend

All the best of space and magic in one book. At first I thought it was a military space book. Then there were mages and magic. Then some crazy alien creatures. An amazing book. I found myself being drawn in and seeing the story unfold in my mind. I’ve been looking for an author that has this ability for awhile now. Absolutely one of the best books I’ve read this year.

Emergence. Really enjoyed this book. It jumped a little in the beginning but came together well. Great concept for a futuristic environment. Keen to read the next in series. Not happy with the ending as it’s obviously setting up for the 2nd. I prefer my books to end within themselves! Cheers.
