Nearly brilliant?. I enjoyed this but not quite as much as the previous two stories in the series so only four stars this time. I think it was because this seemed to be several combined but slightly unfinished plots, rather than just one romantic adventure e.g. How did Hazel's journey to Basil go? The risky pregnancy? More about Tallack and Roana's life?

Swoon. I didn't think I could love another couple like I did Merle and Rhun but got damn! Basil and Isa gave me the sweet but everything else in so much more. Angst, humour, action and heat! I loved reading their journey and learning the nuisances of a world we hadn't previously been invited into. Not sure how I feel about Tallak but I am looking for arc to seeing how that relationships unfolds. The geek references were perfect and gave me another connection to Basils character. I might be late in the game but I want to stake claim on Basil for #bbf. You can read these as standalone and you get the impact of the story, the immersion into the book world and the connection with the characters. However, I highly recommend you read them all!

Waited so long. So glad when this book was finally released! I thoroughly enjoyed it and wished it was longer. I felt that the story was a bit rushed but it didnt take anything away from it

Great story but a bit rushed. I thought most of the story was great, especially with the nature of Isa’s curse. It was different and it contained a bit of a sudden plot twist to do with Basil’s adoptive family (actually finding other twin. Although this was something that needed to be done, the find of the twin and the reuniting of the family felt a bit rushed and like it was jammed together at the last minute. I felt that part of the story could’ve been a bit more expanded on with another different set of challenges as this book was about Basil and Isa. Maybe finding the twin and then incorporating her back into the family could’ve been expanded on into a short story or small novella. Overall I loved the idea of the forbidden romance and the difference in the 2 lovebirds personalities.

Fantastic!. This series is so good I can't wait until book 4 comes out! Keeps you wanting more and the storyline has all the same characters in it and includes there lives! It all ties into one. Amazing 👌🏽
