Most of All You by Mia Sheridan Book Summary

From New York Times bestselling author of Archer’s Voice comes a slow burn, grumpy sunshine romance about finding the courage to move forward when the past has torn you apart, perfect for fans of Colleen Hoover and Lucy Score.

Crystal learned long ago that love brings only pain. Feeling nothing at all is far better than being hurt again. She guards her wounded heart behind a hard exterior and carries within her a deep mistrust of men, who, in her experience, have only ever used and taken.

Then Gabriel Dalton walks into her life. Despite the terrible darkness of his past, there's an undeniable goodness in him. And even though she knows the cost, Crystal finds herself drawn to Gabriel. His quiet strength is wearing down her defenses and his gentle patience is causing her to question everything she thought she knew.

Crystal and Gabriel never imagined that the world, which had stolen everything from them, would bring them a deep love like this. Except fate will only take them so far, and now the choice is theirs: Harden their hearts once again or find the courage to shed their painful pasts.

Stayed up late but worth it. Mia Sheridan is a favorite author. I love Archer's Voice and Kyland. I have to admit, her last two books weren't close to those two. Happy to say that this book is right up there with her best. Heartbreaking and hopeful. Loved it.

Meh…. I hoped this book would be as good as Archer’s Voice, but nope. It started off incredibly slow, and over halfway into the book it got marginally good. Their “love” for each other just seemed to happen with almost no real interactions. Before they kissed or had any intimacy, Gabriel was claiming “she’s mine” and head over heels in love. I was seriously like, “huh”? How? When did these feelings develop?! It seemed very unrealistic and I found myself rolling my eyes several times throughout the book. Definitely not a favorite.

Love. Absolutely loved this book! Just pulled at my heartstrings! A good good book!

Nothing compared to archers voice. I was so excited to read this book and give it a try anyway but if you read archers voice just leave it at that bc this point will disappoint, i felt no chemistry between the characters at first i kind of got it bc they both have traumatic pasts so they kinda have to help each other get through their problems but i don’t know i just didn’t connect with the characters.

Beautiful Healing story. I resonated so much with the two main characters in this book. Experiencing trauma as a child has left me healing as an adult. I struggle to put my pain into words or to understand myself/my worth. I felt the characters pain as my own. The struggles that they experienced to put themselves back together allowed me to see myself and my struggle through a different perspective. Very eye opening and inspiring. I know that it’s a fictional story but I feel like this story made me believe that it’s still possible to be normal after trauma. I also read it during a dark time in my healing journey. I didn’t know what I needed to fix me and I felt hopeless so I read this book to take my mind off of everything. Turns out this book was exactly what I needed.

Read this one first!. The first book I ever read of Mia’s was Archer’s Voice. I’m not sure if it was the incredible detail and thoroughness of the storytelling or the raunchiness that I loved so much….but I was greatly spoiled by reading it before reading this title. The book is phenomenal ….and will perfectly set the tone for the rest series….but if you like thinks a little more saucy and spicy, you’ll appreciate reading this one first and , trust me, the next 2 will blow your mind!

This book was unforgettable!. Most of All You was a breathtakingly emotional story of two broken people trying to make it through life and the life altering hurdles it threw in their way. This story is one that is filled with unimaginable pain and anguish, yet in the same breath is filled with the most soul touching love and healing that you will ever experience. As much as this story is about hurt and darkness and things that threaten to take the life out of you, it is just as much, if not more so about love and light and the things that make life worth living for. Mia Sheridan continues to be one of the most talented authors I have ever had the pleasure of reading. The way she so thoughtfully weaves together stories and characters that are deep, so unforgettably real, and that sear themselves to your heart is what continues to make her one of my favorite authors. Her words, the feelings and emotions behind them, and the beautiful and powerful meaning she crafts behind them are so much more. They are more unforgettable, more amazing, more consuming, and more all-feeling. She just makes her stories and characters and everything with them mean so much more, and that truly sets her books in a league of their own. Most of All You follows what happens when two people with a world of hurt and pain in their pasts, find themselves on the same path trying to find a way to heal, to find themselves, and to be who they were always meant to be. This story follows them through every struggle, triumph, and moment in between with them as they fight against each other and what they know is right, as they fight for themselves, and as they fight to end up in the exact place they know they need to be. Most of All You gives you their highs, their lows, and every moment in between as they try to find their way through the darkness that threatens to surround them. This book has a story within it that is bursting with so much heart, so much varied emotion, and so much hope. Hope for the future, hope for healing, and hope for what could be if fate finds a way. Getting to experience that hope along with everything else in this book was extraordinary. Every page of this book, every sentence with these characters, and every word I experienced while reading put me right in the thick of this book with these characters loving and feeling and breathing and living everything that they were. The way that Mia Sheridan once again puts you in the heart of her story will pull at every one of your emotions, and will have you rooting with all that you have that Gabriel and Ellie will find a way to get to the place they both deserve to be. Through every page of this book my love for those two grew exponentially, and the way that Mia Sheridan gave me them, as their messiest, at their most complicated, at their most broken pulled my heart to them a million times over. She allowed me to get them, to understand their pain and their journeys and why they guarded their hearts the way she did. She also allowed me to see and feel how it all started to change, and to understand the fears and worries and vulnerabilities that went along with that. Through every page and word of what I read and felt, I got these characters. I got them, their fight, their falls, and every moment of the two of them seeing what could be if they could only find it through that darkness to the light they both wanted. Ellie and Gabriel’s story was beautiful. It was raw and intense at times and so breathtakingly real, and getting to fall in love with them both while I got to experience their incredible journeys of fight and healing was everything. Gabriel was a man who melted my heart from the very first page. His honesty, his sweetness, and his patience blew me away. That man had a heart of gold that shined on every page, and the words out of his mouth and the meaning behind them had me loving him with all that I had. Ellie and her hard exterior, her blunt nature, and her fiery self pulled me in, even when that girl did all she could to push others away. Getting to see that exterior of hers crack, getting to see her walls fall, and getting to be there with her as she tried to figure out who she was and what she wanted was amazing. It was real and genuine and it was her, and that was everything to get. Most of All You was one of the most perfect love stories I have ever read, and what’s funny is it probably had two of the most broken characters in it, yet it was their brokenness, their cracks, and the dings in their armor that made this story so beautiful, so right, and so epic. Every word of this book wowed me. Every emotion behind it all moved me and had my heart melting and my eyes tearing up more times than I could count. Every moment I got with these characters gave me it all, and in the end I know that I will not soon forget what this story so exceptionally gave me. It was breathtaking, it was emotional, it was healing, it was pain and hurt and love and light all mixed into one, and through it all it was a story about what can happen when you learn to embrace the cracks that let you see the light. I cannot say enough how much I loved this book and what it gave me. Ellie and Gabriel’s story will move you in ways you didn’t know possible, and will give you a love story you won’t soon forget, and it truly does not get better than that!

Highly recommend. Captivating and beautiful

Amazing!. Amazing!! So well written and a great love story! I did not want it to end and she ended it so well. I seriously loved this book so much!

beautiful. Both of the leads were easy for me to love. They have painful pasts, beyond the norm, tragedies in fact. I like the way they overcome. It's an emotional journey that fills the soul and the eyes. Crystal/Ellie is not in a good place in most aspects of her life, but the writing makes her easy to understand. This book illustrates the importance of taking the time with others instead of judging. Gabriel is bone-deep good. He's solid, strong, supportive and sensitive. I couldn't help falling hard for him. Because he's been working through his issues for longer and mostly in a better place, he is patient with her. He gives her love and space as needed. Also, I have to say thank you so much to the author for making girl characters who are genuinely nice to each other. I'm always looking for a story that makes me feel. Most of All You kept a hold on my heart. It's definitely a book I recommend.

Loved this. Reminded me of Redeeming Love, yet different. Loved this.

Incredible story!. This book will hit you in the gut. More than once. The author’s prose, the characters, the story - it was all amazing! I absolutely loved how the story came together and the emotional ties and relationships intertwined. It’s a beautiful story about to broken souls who figured out ways to build themselves back up, and finding each other during that heartbreaking time. Absolutely recommend!!

5 beautiful, heartfelt stars for Crystal and Gabriel!. Absolutely beautiful! I am so in love with this book. I've said it before and I will say it again. Mia cannot write a bad story. She writes the most heartfelt stories. She evokes emotions in the simplest sentences that she writes. It is like it is an effortless endeavor for her to bring the readers her stories. They just flow and are organic and I get caught up in it every single time. I hope that every reader that picks up this book will go into it blind, without having read any reviews beforehand. You need to experience everything in this book without having any knowledge of what's between the pages, no preconceived notions of what might happen. I just finished it and I already wish I could wipe my memory clean so that I could read it again for the first time. The blurb tells you a little, but not very much about what this book entails. Two people, both broken in their own ways. Both having suffered from control being taken away from them. But where Crystal has built a protective wall around herself, Gabriel has tried to live his life with an open heart, appreciating every moment of every day. "I win every time I'm bold in how I love. I want to say I win a hundred times a day, a thousand, by loving the sunrise, and the wind, and the way raindrops sound on my window." I have to say that the journey Mia leads these two characters on, is probably one of my most favorite of hers, ever. Her writing is just flawless, and I was just so mesmerized with this story, every single page of this story. I am fascinated with how well Mia developed these characters. Their background, their emotions, their thoughts, their feelings. They were so real and alive to me. I felt all their emotions right along with them. I felt the hopelessness and desperation that Crystal feels, and I felt the determination Gabriel had to tear down those nearly impenetrable walls that were built around her. I felt so warm and fuzzy when she finally started thinking she could let people in. "A few leaves fluttered from the trees, twirling lazily in the light breeze, and I felt a gentle falling inside me, too. I wondered how trees knew to let go of the things they no longer needed, and I wondered if I could do that, as well." I'm trying to be as spoiler free as possible, so I am not going to say anything else. But I had to include those lines above because I absolutely love them. And this book is filled with tons more of profound thoughts like those. Mia is just a master at the deep, thought provoking, heartfelt emotions that are woven through this whole book. From the story itself, to the themes throughout, to the cast of supporting characters who are so incredibly important and instrumental in the lives of these two people. I can't wait to see everyone's thoughts and reactions to this story. I just want to hug Mia so hard after reading this. I completely loved it.

Mushy. I rarely read romance titles but when I do; I’m looking for something inspirational and a good pick me up- this fit the bill: super dramatic and mushy af, but held my attention and I devoured this book in a couple days. A book about rising up just as much as it is about romance, and you will root for main characters even if they are a lil over the top. I say read it.

ALL the stars!! 2017 Too Favorite. THIS! This story needs to be read by anyone looking for all the feels, uniqueness, heart pounding suspense, and romance. I've followed this author for years, and I must say that while I enjoyed every single one of her books (Archer's Voice in particular is one of my all time favorites), there is something so indescribably special about this story that words fail me. The writing alone is outstanding, but the characters (all of them except the villains of course) are so endearing in their own way you'll wish you could meet them in person. Most of All You is so encompassing, I found myself immersed for hours, savoring the beautiful words that made me cry, smile, and pray for a happy ending for these incredible characters who deserved nothing less. I'm so fortunate to have received an advance reader copy of this unforgettable novel. There's no doubt in my mind that this will be one of those memorable stories I carry in my heart for a long time along with my angel Gabriel.

Great plot & story!!. I first read Archer’s voice by this author and loved it immediately. I figure this book could be similar in characters, tone, romance and more. I was not disappointed!!! Great everything!!! I highly recommend this book. You won’t regretted!!
