Bogged. I got 61% thru the trilogy. At which point I felt bogged down in minutiae. I sorta enjoyed the part I read but it was simply too tedious.
Best Sci-Fi Read. This is by far one of the best, most addicting series of books I have read in years, a very detailed look at what may be ahead in our near future.
Influence. I can see the Asimov influence, I robot, Foundation, but Mr Bear has gone where Mr Asimov could not imagine in his time. Quite the story line. Great character development, oh , and lots of fun.
Great series. Big ideas, grand settings with great characters.

The Eon Series. Seriously great SciFi. No horror, except to see described the frailties of the continuum of humanness, explored with such vivid imagination. A massively good read. Start with Eon first and you wont want to stop and will tear straight into Eternity which ties satisfying bows to everything. Never as you would expect, but always thoughtful. After that, take a stroll through Legacy for a thoughtful perspective, but not before reading Eon and Eternity. You will be prodded into expanding your horizons
