10 years too late. Ok so I wish this book existed when I was younger. It’s depiction of obsessive thoughts would have been helpful to me. The character development of aza and daisy is the books strength. But the general plot? Left a lot to be desired.

Instant lover of John Green. I have never read any of his books and my school library was giving them out so I picked it up. LIFE. CHANGING. This is a book that you read and can not think of anything else for days after. The characters are in-depth and are filled to the brim with emotions. The plot is grand. People with mental illnesses should DEFINITELY pick up this beauty as they should be able to relate to Aza. Yes, it starts off slow but trust me, stay until the end with this one. You won't be disappointed.

If you read only one book this year, let it be this one.. This book makes you feel the gut wrenching darkness that can overtake people who find themselves in a spiral of the unknown self. I found myself hanging onto the words with an immense yearning to get out of the spiral Aza found herself in. But there is also hope to be found in the pages of this book. It is a mix of beautifully written words, heartbreaking emotions, and an unbelievable connectedness to characters that experience things you yourself may never fully understand. If you read only one book this year, let it be this one. And fully immerse yourself in it. You won’t regret it.

favs. one of my favorite books of all time

Beautifully written, unendingly compelling. Such a moving, remarkable story. Draws you in to Aza and her story and her struggles in such an honest and unflinching and difficult way but that also makes you never want it to end. The single most accurate and heart-wrenching portrayal of living with OCD that I’ve ever read. Will forever be grateful to John Green for putting words to all these emotions and experiences I’ve struggled to verbalize throughout my life. Recommend it so highly to absolutely everyone. Thank you

Three Cheers For John Green. As someone who suffers OCD and is a writer herself, this book was breathtaking. He was able to put the ramifications of this disorder into words that everyone can understand. It’s relatable and at the same time shows the depth of an illness that claims so many of us. This wasn’t just a sort of love story for teens. It was a story of a girl learning to love herself despite her imperfections and it was touching, heartfelt, and a deeply philosophical exploration of an issue most authors don’t dare touch on. Bravo, John Green. Thank you for giving us a voice.

The spiral. This book was the first time I have ever heard of someone having the same mental health illness that I have. It was empowering and made me feel like someone else out there knew exactly what went through my brain every day. Thank you John Green for putting this illness into words when I couldn’t.

Amazing perspective and incite. This book is amazingly well written and does an excellent job of helping people understand a different perspective on OCD. Overall, would highly recommend! 10/10

All the way down. I mean it’s a John Green book how can no one not like a John Green book. This book starts very calm, I usually don’t like the start of books because they are so slow, but this starts calm. I was sorta lost in the direction it was taking me but throughly enjoyed the journey it was beautiful, insightful, and caring. If you want a soft and poetic read to get the tears rolling a little bit then this is the book to read!

Great. Good solid book, as usual, unique characters that captured my attention.

Amazing. It’s a amazing book amazing characters and amazing plot

Perfect. Romantic ,mysterious and meaningful at the same time. Exactly what I expected from John Green. It’s really hard to actually “write” what’s going on in someone’s head.

A miss. Profoundly disappointing

👍🏼. John Greene is that guy.

Loved it. I couldn’t put this book down.

Simply Beautiful. so profound, well spoken, and vulnerable... truly a must read

Wonderful book!. I loved this book! Finished it very quick because I couldn’t stop reading. Wonderful read regarding mental health with some romance and relatable friendship situations. Highly recommend reading. John Green writes so wonderfully and it’s truly inspiring.

Meh..... Green has really had some amazing books that make your heart feel something. This wasn't one of them I'm sorry to say. It didn't have the POW of Paper Towns and Alaska. I felt bored and strangely confused with a side of anxiety. Just my review....

Nice. Nice

Unsatisfactory. Unsatisfactory ending but maybe that’s what life is all about

John Green never disappoints. I took a break from reading this book and a couple hours later couldn’t figure out what tv show I had been watching earlier, it wasn’t a show, it was this book. Finished it within 24 hours and wish I could go back and reread it without knowing what happens again

Meh. I read John Green as a teen, and reread Looking For Alaska as an adult, and it still maintained its heart and heft. This book is nothing like that. It had so much potential with the exploration of anxiety and mental health, but the plot was so thin and uninteresting and the characters were obnoxious. Also, so tired of the super deep and insightful large-vocabularied parodies of actuall teens. Yawn.

Once again..... John Green tells an amazing story that I can relate to so much. It was my first John Green book I’ve ever read and I love it! Ive decided to read his other books. The title is confusing at first when you start reading it but the book explains it later on.

This book was very interesting.. I am a big fan of Johnn Green, and definetly think you should read it. He puts the dynamic of new love but also evolves friendship. One thing I would have to say is i would of liked to see more of people being brought out of their struggles, not fixing them, but in a way maybe overcoming them more. Overall, a very good book with moments that fuel your thoughts.I definetly recommend!!!

LOVE. this book is great, the more you read John Green books, the easier it is to understand them. I love the meaning behind the title of the book. Would totally recommend this book.

Lackluster. Just reading the first few pages lulled me to sleep. Hype is a powerful drug. Writing style isnt that exemplary…sounds like a Ya middle-age...

JOHN GREEN. john green bro

Poeticly confusing. This book with it’s garbled sentences and abstract concepts is a form of pure poetry. It shows that something can profound and succinct at the same time

loved it. absolutely amazing. really resonates with me

Amazing, as always. John Green is my favorite author. And this book shows exactly why. The way he is able to put mental illness into words is extraordinary. I've never related to a book so much. He's simply an amazing author and this book is one of the best I've read in awhile. I read it in a couple days, and was sad when it was over. It was such a good book.

Ok so.... I’m very undecided about this book. One hand, I like the vague, mystery type narration but at the same I kind of hated how impersonal it felt. Overall, I liked it but it’s not like in my top 10 favorite books

Amazing. It was that. Just amazing. I loved it.

I loved it. I was surprised at just how powerful this story really was

Turtles all the way down. Truly a phenomenal book. John Green is a great author and writes stories that are very true to life whilst still being intriguing. The book is, in my experience, more relatable if you’ve ever personally experienced a mental illness or traumatic event, but it is definitely not a requirement. All in all highly suggested

Exquisite and heartbreaking. Best book I've read in a long time. Captures mental illness in a way that I haven't seen before.

Lame. Very boring , weak and insecure people now i understand how it feels to be a loser . Dont waste your money

Great but not appropriate. I absolutely LOVE how John green writes but he does tend to include inappropriate language and talk this book includes talk of “dick pic” and includes several f-words

Good book. I have a very hard time finding books that can hold my interest. Been a very long time since I completed a book. Can’t even remember. Great book. Like the characters.

This book.... As a person whom has experienced the never ending spiral talked about in this novel, I have thoroughly related to, and empathized with, its characters. John Green’s masterful writing in Turtles All the Way Down has helped me find myself in ways I didn’t think possible. This book is inspirational even for those not dealing with mental illness, because we are all human beings. Filled with bittersweet love, friendship, humor, and trauma, this book has it all. You know how in The Fault in Our Stars, Hazel has An Imperial Affliction; a book, to which she believes was written with her in mind? Well, this book is my AIA. I wish I could give this book an infinite amount of stars because that’s how good it is. If John Green ever finds himself scrolling through this comment (hi, by the way.) thank you from the bottom of my being.

Eh.. John green is too overrated 😒

🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰. I love this book, I got so emotional while reading it... it made me laugh😂, cry 😭, and love🥰! I just couldn’t put it down! This book is amazing and beautiful *sigh*

Thank you. I haven’t even had the chance to read this yet but I have read a review that has already made me cry. Not from sadness, but from relatable(ness). I have a box set of 4 of your books that I have always treasured. And now my favorite author has written a book that I can relate on a whole new level. So many books and shows misrepresent OCD but I hope the six years that went into writing this book gets it right.

As good as always. I was just as captivated by this one as I was with all of his others. He finds a way to write about hard things in a way that doesn’t take away from them and still makes them relatable.

Mental health. This is ultimately a book on mental health. A girl who is trapped inside of her mind like anxiety & mental illness does to you. Controls you, consumes you. The story line or the “mystery” of the person who goes missing isn’t really what the story is about. I appreciated the view of mental illness, but the story line overall wasn’t captivating... the ending was like, ok........

Absolutely love this book!!well written. It was well written and I like the way the author writes the characters perspectives.

Turtles All the Way Down. Another great book by John Green. In this story I learned about things I never knew existed. A very interesting book. I also knew from the beginning that I'd be reading a bit about my own life. You got the important parts right Mr. Green. Told with understanding and truth I can't thank you enough for your insights and advice. This book is my favorite.

Only 6 chapters in. And the story is so real and tangible and I feel like characters were written for me.

perfect. started reading and couldn’t put it down, i have OCD similar to the main characters and so reading this was really interesting to see others go through this .

Fantastic!. I could not put this book down. The depth that mental illness is described in is both relatable and not relatable, and completely intriguing. I feel as if I could read about Aza and the inner-workings of her mind forever.
