Great book..... Misadventures with a Rookie by Toni Aleo What a great book... I received this ARC for an honest review. This was a funny read. I thought the chase would last all through the book, but of course I should’ve known Ms. Aleo would tease us with these “too hot for each other “ characters. Wow, to say I’m loving the name Bocephus for the heroine was too funny. Bo, for short, was one of the Ice Girls for the AHL Malibu Suns in California. She was working part-time and interning for the team to become a physical therapist. Bo could not stand Gus “the Bus” Persson because she thought he was a cocky rookie hockey player that chased any girl available and then dumped her after he got what he wanted. I was surprised they connected right away, but I think Bo thought this would be a “one and done”....not. They were hot for each other once Bo got tired of missing sex and figured after they hit the sheets, she would never see him again. This was a really great read to me. I laughed just about all the way through the book. There was a lot of twists and turns but in the end I think they make a great couple. I sure hope there will be more books coming with the Suns and the Tornadoes as a series. I definitely want to read more about Bo and Gus lives.

Misadventures with a Rookie. From start to finish you where on your seat waiting to see what Bo and Gus where going to do. Thank you Toni Aleo for making Gus a good guy who showed his feelings. I loved every page of this book. And to the Mom who dropped it off at the children’s hospital thank you for making my night a day so much better.

My favorite misadventure. I’ve only read a handful of the Misadventures series books, but this one is my favorite. I was so glad to finally get to sit down with another Toni Aleo book, and I devoured it in one sitting. Gus has always wanted to play in the NHL, and he’s working his way there while playing in the AHL. Bo is determined to finish school and forget her past, but Gus makes it hard to do just that. The banter between these two is hilarious, and I loved how neither one could forget about the other after one shared night. I highly recommend going on this misadventure with Gus and Bo.

Love this author!. I haven't read a Misadventures book yet that I haven't completely loved! Add Toni Aleo, sports romance genius to the mix and you've got yourself a winner! So many lol moments! I kept turning the pages on my iPad and didn't want it to end... Cocky and arrogant Gus, sexy and plays hockey! Winning! Lol Bring in Bo, smart, talented, beautiful! She doesn't fall for Gus' charm right away...even if the attraction is off the charts! If you're looking for a well written, sporty, super fun read! Look no further, highly recommend!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great read!. I've enjoyed the Misadventures books and this one is no different. At first, I wasn't sure if I would get into this story and commit because of the hockey backstory (not a big hockey follower) but was happy with how I was pulled in. I started it in the late afternoon and couldn't stop (except for a few life needs) until I was done around 1am. The hate/love dynamic between Bo & Gus made the story. There were times I laughed out loud at their antics. Also, touched many of my 'feels'. I would definitely recommend this as a great read!

4.5 Stars!. This book really surprised me. In the beginning, I actually thought this was going to be my first book of Toni Aleo's that I wasn't going to like. I've loved everything I have read by her to date, but I learned real quick that the Hero in this book was the exact type that I do not enjoy in my books. He's arrogant. He's a player. He thinks he's God's gifts to women and hockey and I was just as disgusted by it as our heroine was. If you start out feeling the same way...keep reading. Man did I do a 180 about Gus. By the end, he became one of my favorite types of Hero's. The best thing about a womanizer is when they find the one woman to knock them off their feet. Gus became a new man the more time he spent with Bo. The more they were together, the more I fell in love with him right along with Bo. I am so glad I kept reading. What an amazing transformation he made as a man in love. Bo... while I sneered right along with her in the beginning, I still thought she was way too bitter. After learning more about her situation in the last half of the book. I got it. This poor girl. She got screwed 10 ways from Sunday and I get it why she was so bitter. Be patient. Gus is good for her. I don't always mention side characters but I got to mention Gus's parents. I loved them! I loved them almost as much as I loved our main characters. They were an awesome addition to this story. I really enjoyed this book. ARC provided by NetGalley.

A book you don’t want to end. Once again, Toni Aleo has hit the mark, or better said hit the puck in the back of the net! A truly great hockey romance that leaves you wanting even more. I’m pretty sure I’ve yet to find a story of hers that I ever wanted to end and the story of Bo and Gus proves that’s true. A great love story about learning to love and moving on from past hurts.

Worth reading :). My first time to try reading Toni Aleo’s work and I must say I have no regrets. I love the story and the main characters especially Gus! He’s such a sweetheart!😍

Romance and Hockey! Love it!. One click this baby and get ready for a fun, sexy, sweet and entertaining sports romance filled with drama, passion and lots of whitey and engaging banter. Gus “the Bus” Persson is the newest heartthrob on the ice and is not afraid to play as hard as he works. Bo St. James is a young PT with her eyes on her dream future and no time for any of the hotshot athletes she trains. The sparks are flying and their white hot attraction will not be denied. Overall a must read for any sports romance fan specifically if you enjoy Hockey like I do.

A Fantastic story that will have you laughing ....... Toni Aleo once again a fantastic story that will have you laughing. In Misadventures of a Rookie we meet Gus Pearson and Bo St James, straight away these two had me in stitches of laughter moments after they meet with the verbal sparring between them. Their friends that are around them at the time can feel and see the sparks flying between Bo and Gus. “Um, did anyone else see the fireworks” Bo and Gus show us how you shouldn’t judge a person on how they act ..... you never know what things have happened in their lives. Bo has been let down in her past and Gus is trying to break down her walls and let him in and show Bo he can be there for her in so many ways. Toni consistently gives her readers a laugh with the antics that Bo and Gus experience in their journey and how they are there for each other and how Gus is their for Bo like no one else has before. Toni makes the reader feel as if they are part of Bo and Gus story by making us laugh and feel the emotions that are happening to them during their journey. Well worth the read, this is a stand alone but hopefully Toni gives a some more of Bo and Gus in her other hockey series.

Nobody writes ice hockey romance like Toni Aleo!!. As this book is part of the Misadventures series - but is absolutely a standalone - it’s a shorter book than what we’re used to from Toni and I wanted more of Gus and Bo’s story! I would have loved to read as their romance developed, instead of it being more summarized - the reason for my 4 star rating - but, in spite of that, I loved it. Another hot, sexy hockey romance with a drool worthy player - who never gets told no, and a beauty who has sworn off men - but has no chance of resisting Gus when he sets his mind on having her. Hilariously funny in some parts, you will both cringe and laugh out loud! Will it be just a hot one night stand or will it develop into something more?? You’ll have to read it to find out!

Toni is no Rookie, she is THE BEST!. Soooooo, yeah...Every book of hers I read simply reminds me why she is my favorite author! In this standalone, there is a beautifully delivered message about how it is important to not be too quick to judge others....And we all get to absorb that important message while laughing out lout way too many times, being aroused more than I like to admit (because, HELLO GUS THE BUS!!), crying over Bo's past (yup, gutted me), and being surprised every other page by something hilarious and completely unexpected. Bo's initial dislike of Gus and the way she slowly but surely lets her guards down is so well written. Toni Aleo has a way to leave us hanging as to why the characters are a certain way and believe me when I say that she is a master at making us FEEL for her characters. All in all, another book of Toni Aleo's makes its way in my top five reads for this year. Excellent book and my favorite in the Misadventures collection so far.

Very captivating!. I have not been captivated by a book in a very long time, I thought I was over my book obsession. But this book hooked me right off the bat and kept me wanting more. I fell absolutely in love with these lively, hilarious characters. I could honestly read about them day and night. Can not wait to read the other books this lovely author has written!
