Very confused.. I couldn’t even finish past the 6 chapter. It’s like I’m reading two different books. One part is talking about the 1820’s and the other part is talking about 20 years later but it’s describing BMW’s and luxury malls. I don’t get it. I don’t wanna ruin the book but how can you go from Lynching and torches to modern day Malls and BMW’s in just 20 years? Am I reading this wrong?

Scary. I heard that if you read the book it would curse you for the rest of your life. Don’t read this book. Trust me, I got cursed and I don’t want you to be next.

Children of the Slaughter. Overall I thought it was a good read. It was very slow in the beginning but picked up speed towards the end. I loved the character development throughout the book and switch from present to past. I however, did not like ending the book on a cliff hanger....

6/10. Good read. Ending isn’t too satisfying.

Meh. The beginning was rather slow. Toward the ending the book picked up a bit. However the cliff hanger ending felt more of a let down than anything. Characters are well defined but still feel empty. Good book for a quick read but overall it is just meh.
