Disappointed. I love JEM, have read all of her books and fell in love with Jesse and Ava’s story when I started the This Man trilogy. When it was announced that a 4th book was coming I was a little apprehensive. I feel like their story was done being told in This Man Confessed and I wondered what more needed to be said. The beginning started out pretty good but then the book just got repetitive and predictable. Ava gets into another car accident, no explanation at all of what happened. Sarah appears again out of nowhere, asks Jesse for money which he gives her, and she disappears. Just like that. No drama, no confrontations just takes the money and runs. Ava gets accidentally pregnant, again. John dies and they name the new baby after him. I could’ve wrote this book myself it was so obvious where the story was going. After all the buildup and anticipation of this book I was really disappointed. I had to push myself to finish because at times I actually got bored. For me, I think I would’ve enjoyed a Jesse book prior to when he met Ava. This book just repeated storylines and situations that happened in the first 3 books.

Review: This Man 4: With This Man. With This Man by Jodi Ellen Malpas is the fourth book, and a standalone, in the This Man series. Get ready for the countdown, twelve years later... Told in dual POV this book is an in-depth view into Jesse and Ava's life twelve years on from where we left them last. Nothing has changed, only gotten better. More loving, more emotion, more love, more peanut butter. The twins are twelve and rambunctious and awesome. They deal with their parents "gross" displays of affection as best they can (LOL) and are great kids. The book is detailed and I'm going to leave my review vague so as not to spoil anything but as you know from the blurb, there is an accident and Ava loses the last 16 years of her memories. Jesse, the kids, everything. These two falling in love again - working through all the massive issues a traumatic injury and event like this causes is detailed and emotional. Not a quick read but an absolutely fabulous one. I switched between audio and ebook on this one and the narrators are amazing too. Loved it! Enjoy!

I’m in love with this book!!!. Let me tell you, I just couldn’t get enough of this book; I love it so much!!! I was in love with Jesse and Ava’s story from the beginning and this was the perfect conclusion to their epic love story. Did I mention that I love this book?? Thank you Jodi for yet another amazing book.

With This Man. These books were sensational. I laughed I cried and felt completely enraptured.

Falling in Love with Jesse Ward All Over Again. JEM does it again. Love all her books but The Lord of the Manor is my Fav! This was a perfect ending to Jesse and Ava’s story❤️

Blown away...End of. Wow!! I didn't think I could love Jesse and Ava's story more than I already did, I was wrong. You took me on a beautiful journey back through their connection. What I fell in love with, a few years ago, was retold in a whole new way. Reading the powerful, endless love that Jesse has for Ava through Jesses mind was one of my favorite parts of this book. This book was emotional, heartfelt, tears on cheeks, laughing out loud, falling back in love, reunion sex, epic!!! If you read one book this year, you must read this one! Thank you Jodi for another fantastic book! ❤️

So disappointed............ That I’ve finished this book. Such a good sequel to Jesse and Ava’s story. Every woman should have a “Lord” in their lives. 50 Shades my have started this romance movement but This Man and Jodi took it to a whole new level. Can’t wait for your next adventure.

Absolutely beautiful and perfect!!!. WOW! Jodi did a fabulous job writing from Jeese’s POV. I loved everything about this book. It was beautifully written and Jesse and Ava’s love shines through on every page. It had me cheering, yelling and crying. The story was absolutely perfect and just what we fans needed for an addition of Jesse and Ava’s amazing love story. 😘❤️

With this Man. Repetitive This is one of the poorest excuses for a book I’ve ever read. It is basically the same “hot” sex scene over and over in nearly every chapter with just the change of location and the constant use of the F word. If you must buy this book, save yourself some time and read the first and last few chapters.

With this Man. A charming continuation of the This Man Trilogy. You will not be disappointed! Excellent read!!!!

Jessie trampled my heart!. Jesse Ward. The Lord. I fell in love WITH THIS MAN and this series all over again! Jessie trampled my heart…but will he trample Ava’s? This book is not a retelling of everything that happened in the first three books. With This Man, takes place years after Jessie and Ava’s story ended in This Man Confessed. Ava is in a severe car accident and sustains a brain injury. She wakes up not remembering Jesse and her children. They are erased from her memory, and now Ava believes that she is a single 22-year-old. Jesse has to make Ava fall in love with him all over again. He is determined to get Ava’s heart to remember him. Let's face it, Jesse can be an acquired taste, so he has his work cut out for him. But who can forget The Lord? There is no one like Jesse Ward. With This Man is primarily told from Jesse’s point of view, which was brilliant in itself. JEM seamlessly peppered this story with the right amount of history, without making this book feel like it was just a regurgitation of the earlier books in this series. She created a brand new, fresh, sexy, and captivating romance. Getting into Jesse's crazy, cocky and demanding brain was everything! Before I picked this book up, I wondered if I was going to feel lost since I started this series in 2013. Let me tell you there is no way you will forget The Lord and Ava’s roller coaster ride of a romance. Dare I say, this might be one of my favorite books by JEM! FIVE stars!

Don’t write a book. Don’t try to drag out a story that’s perfect. This ruined the series. The book was bad and boring. I loved the others but this was terrible.

Loved!!!. Absolutely loved their story and I could actually be ok with reading 4 more books continuing their story

Love Jesse and Ava!. Love, love, love Jesse. End of. Jodi has, once again, drawn me into Jesse and Ava’s lives. And what a life! The love they share, the love that drives them, the love that sees them thru difficult times. A fabulous HEA. With This Man, no, the whole series, is worth every penny. Five stars all the way!

Absolutely Amazing. OMG I didn’t realize how much I missed these characters... JEM is an incredible writer with an indescribable imagination! I have loved everything she has written! This book tops the trilogy... it’s an absolute must read 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 big bright shining stars from me!!

With This Man. Wow. I am so immersed in all that is Jesse right now...it is total bliss! I forgot how much I love Jesse. Quirky, massively over-controlling for his own good, amazingly beautifully broken and put back together, Jesse. This was phenomenal. It was not just repeated words from our previous series...but an honest, true to character new extension of our story. Jesse was ~ well ~ there are no real words for what Jesse is!! I was laughing out loud with the 3 babies joke Ava plays on him. You had me! So Ava's accident I thought was going to turn into something more and it was the one part of the story that I thought could have been more sinister I totally thought the cop was going to say someone ran her off the road. The entire amnesia well told. But the entire book concept of "What would break Jesse" wide open...well you nailed that! Even being sure to revisit some of his haunting demons the Vodka & Lauren & losing John. His falling, desperation, fear and then acceptance is something amazing to see in "Our Man". Honestly there has never been a character as strong, or as memorable with so many nuances than Jesse. Thank you for giving this journey to us. Jesse is a full force hurricane mixed with some tsunami and probably an earthquake or 10... Unmatchable. Our Lord of the Manor. Love love love Jesse.
