Tweener. As a second book it was a good continuation of the story however it felt like a great story that was cut up into several pieces than individual books. This story was very short for $11. To get through the series it would take like $60-$70 for a story the same length as a $15-20 book with sever hundred pages. To each their own…

Brilliant science fiction. Witty, thoughtful and well written. I love the android character!

When a singularity and a human collide. Artificial Condition is an entertaining story. You meet the primary guest character and are left wondering how this will play out. Think of it as two of Stephen Hawking’s Singularities meet in an airlock, and highly intelligent mayhem ensues. Murderbot takes on a small and quick job to get access to what they are after. Mild physical violence depicted as disdainfully easy provides humor in several interactions. It is like listening to a demi-god’s thoughts during a battle with a human. Like the first novel, Murderbot needs a therapist to help address their self-doubts, negative self-talk, and general anxiety. It makes for a fun and quick read that is good for passing the time. I hope you enjoy it.

Overpriced , too short, but fun. Extremely overpriced each one of these Martha Wells' Murderbot stories. I love the stories, but this is a rip off since they are incredibly quick reads. The whole series could be one book and each one a chapter!! So disappointing that you take advantage of readers this way. It is unethical to charge so much for so little!

Sci-Fi Jack Reacher. Just as page turningly satisfying as one of the Reacher books.

Too short. Read it in two hours, the price is ridiculous.

Short Story. Great premise and story, fun read. Unfortunately these are very short stories sold as novels. If the publisher could bundle these, it might be worth it. Otherwise it’s an overpriced short story.

Murderbot Seeks Answers. This second novella in the Murderbot Diaries finds our favorite construct fleeing the circumstances of his release from servitude. He meets a powerful AI friend who helps him reach the scene of the past massacre that he is unsure of his role in, as his memories were wiped. He meets a family of technicians that he agrees to help so he can reach the surface of the planet in question. And of course, this is where the mayhem begins. Along the way, our construct becomes a little more human, and a lot more uncomfortable about that. Murderbot is such a great character, and this second volume in his story is the beginning of his quest to find out about his past. He still loves to watch his serials, but he is beginning to become more than the rogue SecUnit he believes he is. His internal monologue is still dry and wryly humorous, and the pace of the story is still gripping. Definitely a great second volume in the series.

Love this series. Unbelievably creative and witty too. Loved this book and love the entire series!

Fun read, price out of line. This is a fun series, I enjoyed the first two immensely! That said, the page to $ ratio is whacked. I’ll wait to read the rest when they are packaged as a novel or I find them at a used bookstore.

I live murderbot. This series is so engaging and funny! Highly recommend!

Short, but awesome.. I’m really enjoying this series, my only gripe is that they are short books. While that was okay for a $4 book (the first in the series), I had hoped that this one would be a little longer. The first two books could have been a single volume. It’s a great series nonetheless, and I’m looking forward to reading the rest.

To short for the price. Good book but far, far to short to be worth what iBooks is charging. $11.00 for 250 pages?.......

Such a great story!. Well written, great characters, excellent story!

Fun Read, Ridiculous Pricing. Have read the first two in the series and enjoyed them very much, but the pricing model is ludicrous. ibooks shows the page count at 166 when you go to buy, which is actually around 70 in the app when you read. Whatever the disconnect with the actual page numbers the novellas are overpriced for what they are and effectively mean you will end up spending somewhere around $60 and some change for a “series” the total content of which actually comprises one, maybe two books total. I’m all in favor of authors getting fair compensation but this is just exorbitant and feels a bit slimy.

A short story not a book. For the price of this book it was way too short. This was more of a short story. Fairly written and entertaining just very little content. Nickel and dime you to death series

Price to Length Ratio is a Bummer. The writing is great and the characters are intriguing. I’d keep reading the series but at $.62 cents-ish a page it isn’t worth it. Three stars for the pricing.

Great Novella But.... I enjoyed the first novella and I seriously enjoyed this one as well. The addition of ART to the protagonist’s internal dialogue made this more of a page turner. This one is a completely different and new story. However it was published the same year as the rest of them and should have been made a collection. I don’t regret buying and reading it, but others might.

Loved it. Nothing like a rogue, smart-aleck, insecure murderbot to brighten my day!

Price inelastic. Enjoy Murderbot stories and Wells’ full length novels. Grimace at the price of her works but she’s such a fine author I cannot begrudge her prosperity.

Artificial Condition- Made Very Real!. Another great fun read- a very unique and creative science fiction story. I really enjoyed how the author uses an android as not only the main character but the 1st person “STORY TELLER”- Martha thanks again and I’m off to Book no. 3! Cincy Kid 68 (JB) Another 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Murderbot is my friend. It’s always fun to read an imaginative tale with an expert author at the helm. Short little bites of the story keep you buying the next one…and the next one…

Too pricey for a novella. A fun read, but way overpriced for a novella.

(Lower price receives 5 stars) It’s a novella!. Though I have enjoyed books 1 & 2, their length (or lack thereof) calls for a lower price, imho.

Story is OK cost is outrageous. The story is OK, but the price is high. This series is really one longer story, divided up into short stories that each cost as much as, or more than if they were all in one book. The end result is just one novel-length story that you have to pay two or three times as much for. The story isn’t good enough to be worth it. You should pass until the price comes down. Very disappointed in the author and publisher for doing this to readers.

I love Murderbot. Murderbot has no idea what working with the transport (ART) will bring to light as that return to “the scene of the crime”. Since I read this out of order I know how the series resolves so much of this was redundant. The whole series is wonderful even if this is the weakest one of the four. I can’t wait for the Murderbot novel reported for 2020. 4/5

Great novella but priced like a novel. The writing is fantastic as are the characters and the premise but this book basically costs 10 cents per page. So far the 180 pages of the first two novellas are just sections of the same book meaning that if I chose to read the “whole” book (all 4 novellas) it would cost me $34 for a 400 page book. Just ridiculous.

Quick fun read. I would have rated it higher but each book in the series is short, so overpriced.

An energy weapon of a book!. Addicted to this series. I frequently find myself walking like a MurderBot, now.

Overpriced!. This story is a novella. Should be $2 at most.

Truly heartwarming in such unexpected ways. This book is such a beautiful affirmation of neurodiversity. I would have not expected, but I found this series to be truly beautiful.

Another fantastic read. The first book hooked me, and it seems everything that follows just reels me in more!

Very intriguing read, but.... I loved this “book”. It was very gripping through its entirety, yet was quite short, and which is why I am giving it 4 stars. This is mainly because the next 3 books are all overpriced for how much content they have. Rather, I feel like possibly they could have been made into one book. Or, since the new book is out (which is much longer than the rest), the first 4 should be put into a collection, so it isn’t so expensive to buy all of them. I am certainly going to wait and see.

Artificial Condition. Entertaining read, well written. I guess my only beef is that for 11 bucks it’s a bit of a short book.

Murderbot good and cool. It sparks joy

Would love to keep reading, but it’s too expensive. 7.99 for less than 200 pages? It’s nicely written sci-do, but not that nicely written. Don’t support this pricing. It’s crazy...

So good but, so short and so expensive!. I really loved the first two murderbot books but, I just can’t justify buying any more until the price comes down. £9.99 is way too much for such a short read 🙁

Expensive book / Great Read. I’ve never paid so much for an ebook - and such a short one - but I’m really enjoying this series.

Artificial Condition. I would have kept with this series but the price is not good value - I read it in a few hours

A great follow up. Let’s start with the fact that I was anticipating this second book in the series more than I am the final series of Game of Thrones. The wait was worth it and it delivers, not only on furthering the original storyline, and maintaining the humour, but making you think about A.I. and how it will need learn to communicate with us humans. Thankfully only a couple of months until the next instalment.

Great book. Just as good as the first however ridiculously over priced. £8 for 3 hours reading is far too much

Review. Book is good but marketing is a scam. It says 160 pages but there are only 100 in the story's. I read the first two but will not buy the others cuz of the scam. Tell everyone and post to fb

Addicted to Murderbot. Spent all my weed money on Martha Wells books. I need them.

Fun read. Fun read, but short with not much complexity. Keeps good pace with story and action. Laced with humour good enough to laugh out loud. Best synopsis is how to interface with others when you don’t want to, but feel you have to in order to learn more about yourself.

Fabulous!. I just started reading this series (on book 3) and they’re so great! Thanks.

Phenomenal. It’s been a long time since I’ve read a series this engaging. I bought and read them all over a weekend, and started reading them a second time as soon as I was done. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone.

Short Story. The story is quite interesting but the books are very expensive for being very short. I was wondering where the rest of the book was when I got to the end. Not buying another in this series unless the price I’d drastically reduced!
