LOVED IT!!!!. A wonderful read!

Good story, needs better editing. Nice summer read - fairly predictable but there are some interesting characters and a few plot twists but you see most of them coming. Didn’t care for some of the choppiness later in the book - flashbacks, short chapters and the author seemed in a hurry to finish so some of the sub plots were rushed, possibly in an effort to tie it all up in a neat package. There are a lot of characters and story lines and it took effort to keep them all straight. If you’re looking for a happy book, then this is for you.

High Tide Club. I believe this book has been my favorite by this author. I really enjoyed the storyline as well as the characters!

And she’s back!. I love kicking off summer with a MKA book! Last year just wasn’t the same without one. The High Tide Club makes up for it! The book is filled with love, friendship, and mystery. I just couldn’t put it down!

Excellent reading. This book had so many wonderful twists and turns that it kept me engaged in reading it almost non stop!

Not a bad read. Not a bad read, lots of good plot twists. The only annoying part with Henry, was he supposed to be a cute toddler? He was super annoying. I’m not sure Henry or Peter were necessary to the plot or enjoyment of this book..

Loved it!. 4.5 stars I really enjoyed The High Tide Club. It’s a well-written story about friendship and forgiveness. The book alternates between the 1940s and the present day. It takes place mostly on Talisa Island. The same Island where the eccentric Josephine Bettendorf Warrick, the sole owner of the land, lived. Josephine is ninety-nine-years-old and dying from Cancer. She knows that her time for making amends to the High Tide Club members is running out. Although she only has one friend who is still alive, from the exclusive club, she plans on making restitution to her deceased friends, by giving to their next of kin. So Josephine hires Brooke Trappnell, a lawyer, to not only re-write her will but to also find her friend’s closest relatives. Josephine needs to confess. Her dark secrets are too much for her to bear. But, more than anything, Josephine wants forgiveness. She sincerely, hopes that it’s not too late. The High Tide Club has a bit of everything, betrayal, heartache, romance, mystery, friendship and secrets; Lots and lots of secrets. The story has several twists and surprises, a couple of them; I never saw coming. This book is a well-written and enjoyable story. Mary Kay Andrews knows how to spin a tale. Thank you, St. Martin’s Press and NetGalley, for my advanced review copy. I loved it.

Disappointed.. Love Mary Kay Andrews and was anxiously awaiting this book. Story was good... just too long with too many details to keep me hooked. Skimmed to the end at times.

Race to the end. Never saw any of it coming. Took me a minute to stay engaged but half way through I couldn’t put it down and so glad I stuck with it! Such a great book. Needs a screen play, just saying.

INTRIGUING!!. This book draws you in with its exotic private barrier island location, its unusual cast of characters and an intricate plot that will keep you guessing until the end! Throw in strained family relationships, other strained relationships, outlandish wealth, forbidden love, attempting to correct wrongs from the past, a dying eccentric widow with no known heirs, murder, romance, deception, deception and DECEPTION and you are in for an emotional story that will stay with you long after you’ve read the last page. It’s a story of love and loss, love and deception, love and hate, love and friendships that have endured for 70 years and reminds us that love never fails! The High Tide Club. I love her writing and stories. This is the first in years, so I was happy to see she was back. Thoroughly enjoyed the book. Can’t wait for more.
