Be brave and read. This is The first standalone book in the new series from Carly Phillips and she has not disappointed with this book. Kane Harmon is a mechanic that used to stand up for Halley Ward when they were growing up. Halley had a horrible childhood with being in the foster care. Kane had his own issues with his fathers gambling issues. Now with both having to deal with demons from their past and seeing if they can make a relationship work with each other. Carly Phillips has again written a great story that you can’t put down and know your waiting for the next book in this series breathe.

Great Read. Finally, a book I couldn’t put down! It’s been a while since I’ve read a book so well written. I will be looking for the rest of this authors book to add to my collections.

Heartwarming romantic journey. Heartwarming, emotional, sweet, fun, sexy and engaging romantic journey for two souls destined to be one yet to wounded to take the ultimate plunge. A Quick yet highly entertaining reading experience and wonderful escape. Kane Harmon is a hometown boy with a charm that is had to resist and a heart as big as the ocean. Halley Ward is a creative soul with a heartbreaking past and a need to hide in the dark where she feels safe. They are a sweet, passionate, interesting and easy to relate to couple that I could not get enough of and I am looking forward to reading more from Rosewood Bay.

My favorite by Ms. Phillips. I was excited to enter this new world that Ms. Phillips has created. Halley and Kane's story really intrigued me. The book length itself is relatively short. Sometimes I feel like there was still so much story that could have been told, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that this story had everything! Kane show Halley again and again that he would be patient and wait for her to come to terms of her feelings for him. Halley was put into the system as a 3 year old and experienced the horrors of the foster system. She has always been extremely introverted and doesn't let anyone in because she can't be hurt then. When Kane begins to peal away her layers, she doesn't know what to make of it. His patience and devotion to me, moved me. I thought the story was well told and the emotional connection I had to Halley left me wanting more of her. I'm excited to see what Phoebe's book brings!

It's takes you on a journey of two souls who are lost but for totally different reasons..when they meet Kane feels a connection to Halley and sets out to show her that life had color, hope and new beginnings but can these two find their ways together or will history repeat itself and keep the colors faded??;

Good read. As someone with some serious walls I related all to well. Dysfunctional family’s... Dealing a loved one’s addiction; gambling, drugs, or a myriad of other things is something I think the majority of us deal with at one point or another. Good story, good characters.

Great!. Fearless by Carly Phillips was so good. I loved Kane and Halley love story. Years of not seeing each other since high school, they reunite. Kane is a mechanic and Halley is a painter. When Halley needs her car fixed, he comes to the rescue. Kane can’t get Halley out of his head and won’t let her go without a fight. There was so much going on in the book that kept you reading. Between Halley’s past and family issues and Kane’s family made this drama filled. Great secondary characters that added to the story. I can’t wait to read the next story about her sister Phoebe! I recommend this book!

This is FEARLESS!. Bravo for a new series!!! This is going to be another incredible set of stories about another incredible family. In Fearless, we get a general introduction to the town of Rosewood Bay. Kane Harmon is a local guy, runs the garage, keeps his dad in line and supports his sister and nephew. He’s happy with his life, even if it is a little lonely at times. He learned the hard way about mixing it up with the summer visitors so he just keeps to himself instead. But then he runs into Halley Ward. She is technically a member of THE Ward family but never seemed to fit in. She spent her childhood in foster care, thanks to her drug addict mother and only when her aunt found her later did she really have any family. Can two people with such baggage let enough of it go to find happiness with each other? Kane knows he can give Halley the love and security she never had, but can she trust herself to be able to return those feelings? Or should she just keep her walls up and stay in her safe zone? Kane and Halley were a wonderful couple to introduce this new series. We got an overview of several complex relationships that I’m sure are going to be emotional stories. We also have some suspense pertaining to the back story of the Ward family and secrets in their past. I can’t wait to see where this goes!!!

Fearless. Good book with drama

Fantastic Read. There are so many things I want to say about this book. This is the first book in Carly Phillips Rosewood Bay series. It’s about the first sister Halley. The story line is fantastic. The characters and the setting. Fantastic. It’s about a man and a woman knowing they have to become fearless to win their future. So many feels. Because of things that happened in their past and in past relationships, Halley and Kane are two people who are afraid to love. They are tired of putting themselves out there only to get burned. Halley and Kane had went to high school together. Halley moved to town after being adopted by her aunt. Her horrible experiences while in foster care made her afraid of making any connections. After a devastating loss, Kane became withdrawn. Even despite this, he felt a connection to Halley. He felt he had to protect her from bullying. That it was his job to make sure she was okay. Fast forward to today. Kane who owns the local garage is called to pick up someone whose car has broken down. And who do you think it is? Yes, none other than Halley. He is taken in by her right away. He is persistent in his pursuit of her. She is reluctant because of her past. She knows she will not be able to put herself out there. But with Kane she knows it is different. She knows to win him and to win her future with him she will have to be Fearless. Loved seeing her get there and seeing how Kane supported her on her journey to happiness and security in his arms. Fantastic read!

Eh. Not good enough

Amazing!!!. I've been reading books by Carly Phillips for years and have loved them all. Fearless is absolutely my favorite book she has ever written. I literally read it in one sitting and wanted to restart it as soon as I finished reading it. Halley Ward and her older sister Phoebe were put into the foster system at a very young age. Their baby sister Juliette had already gone to live with her father and the girls didn't hear from family until their Aunt Joy found out about them being in the foster system 10 years later. Halley is happiest at her oceanside cottage painting. She is happy to live a pretty solitary life with no commitments to another person. Well she is until she meets Kane Harmon again and he keeps appearing in her life. I love that Kane was a friend first with Halley and a constant presence in her life without ever pushing her to do or be more than what se was ready for. They had a pretty instant attraction to one another, yet there really was more of a slow burn to them being together. Based on everything we learned of Halley's past, any other type of start wouldn't have worked for them long term. Halley comes across as pretty delicate in the beginning. However when you find out everything she has survived from the time with her mother and then in foster care, she has a backbone and a strength to her that most people don't have. Yes she chooses to spend time with only a select few people as self-preservation, but I had so much respect for Halley the more we learned about all she had gone through. When her mother comes back into the picture, I honestly hoped with everything in me that she was ready to change and be a part of her children's lives again. I had a feeling about what she was going to do, but still broke my heart to see how it effected Halley. Fearless hit on all my emotions and I loved every single minute of this book. I laughed, cried, sighed and even got angry a couple of times, but loved the ride along the way. I loved Halley and Kane's story and can't wait to read Phoebe's story next. Good start to a series. Carly Phillips has the ability to write great characters that are real and relatable. Characters that you'd love to get to know or even be friends with. Halley was much more tortured than many of the other female characters I've read in Phillips' books, but that just made me feel for her that much more. She'd had a rough start to her life, being caught up in the foster care system for years before a wealthy aunt was able to track her down. And as with many kids who are put in the system, Halley suffered through things that no kid should have to deal with. Kane was a sweet, lovable character. He was very attentive to Halley and seemed to understand her better than she did herself sometimes. He gave her exactly what she needed even when it was just space so that she could figure things out for herself. He didn't really come swooping in to save the day, like many of Phillips' heros, but he saved Halley from a lonely, colorless life. These two had good chemistry, and a solid groundwork was laid down for the continuation of this series.

Interesting. It’s one of those second chances stories that is wonderful.

Touch You Now. A wonderful Love story. Thank You. Loved the two main characters and their stories. A hard road to travel to get to where they needed to be. Lots of turmoil in the family, with their parents. They were able to help one but the other seemed to not want help. So good. lots of Love envolved.

A must read!!. This was a fantastic read. Halley and Kane are both facing issues in their personal life, but bring out a fun side in each other. Halley is a bit shy and withdrawn at the beginning of the book, but she is still a strong heroine. Kane was sexy, and Halley seemed to bring out this sweet side of him. It had the perfect amount of drama, and after getting a glimpse at who the couple is for the next book, I can’t wait!! A great must read!!

Loved it. Excellent start to a new series. You will fall in love with the characters and root for them to have a happy ending. I feel for Halley she was in foster care, an introvert and had a rough time in school. She likes to stay home, paint and keep away from crowds ( I am same way, not foster care but the crowds make me nervous). When her car breaks down, Kane drives the tow truck to get her. They went to school together and he always took up for her when she was bullied. Now she’s a beautiful woman he wants to get to know better. He slowly seduces and brings her out of her shell but when she has a set back, will Kane lose her forever or will she be strong enough to finally follow her heart? Terrific!. Great characters! Kane is so perfect and Halley is the fragile soul that doesn't begin to live until Kane reappears in her life. The extended families of these two characters are authentic. They are fun, supportive and round out the story. Can't wait to see what's in store for them.

Fearless. I truly enjoyed this book. It was a very easy read and so easy to follow. Sometimes you get so many characters, it gets hard to follow -not in this book. Loved the concept of overcoming your fears and becoming fearless in order to claim the love you want and deserve. Kane proved to Halley that love overcomes everything. I’ve already pre-ordered the next book (Breathe) in the series. I cannot wait to read Phoebe’s story. I received an ARC of this book for my honest review and am so glad I did. Great, great book! A great start to a new series. Another great book by one of my favorite authors. Halley Ward is a loner in town. She has been since she moved here to live with her aunt. Her aunt rescued her from a foster home. The reason she was in foster care? Because her mother valued drugs more than her kids. She has had no constant in her life and disappointment happened at every turn while she was growing up. She doesn't have the heart to trust easily. The only two people that she does are her aunt and her sister. Kane Harmon is the town mechanic. He went to school with Halley and saw a similar soul back then, since he was dealing with his own major issues. He did his best to shield her from the teasing of the other kids who didn't get it. Now , he's got more on his shoulders with his father's gambling problems, his sister and her son. He has given up on finding a relationship in their small vacation destination town, especially since he was thrown aside by a vacationing diva. Kane knows Halley is worth the effort that he needs to put in to get behind her walls. He is patient and understanding of her need to process her feelings. That alone makes him desirable in my eyes. But he goes beyond that and supports her and lets her know that her feelings are valuable. He doesnt push his own opinions on her ever. Halley is braver than she gives herself credit for. She survived foster homes that are what nightmares are made of. She considers herself as damaged. But Kane never sees her that way. He lifts her up and encourages true to herself. Fearless. The cover looked so promising & all the wonderful reviews. Didn’t make it even half way through the first chapter. To many repetitive uses of the name “Kane” I doubt ill finished it all if I make it to the end it will be cause I skipped or skimmed through.

He made her fearless if she only saw it!. I absolutely love this author. She is a one-click author for me. This book is further proof of her talent. Carly Phillips grabs you on the first page and then you can't put the book down. The characters feel so real that you want to know what happened to them to shape them and then you want to follow their story to see if they get a happy ending. Our hero is a hot mechanic named Kane. He's got a gambling addict for a father that he won't give up on and a single mother for a sister that he's close to. A nice guy who is sexy, owns his own business, has integrity.... he's our H. Our h is Halley, an artist, part of a local wealthy family, who unfortunately grew up in the foster system because her mother was a junkie. Halley has trust issues. Kane has fallen for Halley. But he knows he can't move fast. He also has family issues with his gambling dad who steals money. So our potential couple has a lot of roadblocks to get around and obstacles to overcome. Must read. I have not read a book in years. After starting it I was unable to put it down i finished all four.

Fearless. The author knew how to bring the characters into play, a romance that has you turning the page and unable to close the book for the night. I can’t wait to read the next in the series. An author I would recommend.

Sweet quick romance. I enjoyed this book. It was a somewhat quick read. This is the first book in a new series. Halley and Kane knew one another in HS, but more as acquaintances. A chance meeting years later when her car breaks down, gives Kane the chance to try for more. Halley is private and withdrawn. She doesn’t think she is strong enough to be in a relationship. But Kane digs in to try to prove her wrong. He stays strong, supportive and takes things slow. They have some bumps and issues along they way, but they finally get their HEA.

Will she get past her Fear. I absolutely loved this fantastic book and it is a great start to a new series, Fearless by Carly Phillips was an emotional and heartwarming story. It was about learning to trust again, about family and love is something we all want. This was a very well written story with some strong passionate and sexy characters. Kane Harmon is a local mechanic who lives in a summer vacation spot where the rich like to play but Kane has no interest in that. Kane is The only one available for a tow, his tow is none other then Halley Ward a local woman. Halley Ward is use to a solidarity life and she is not comfortable around strangers, she still suffers from nightmares of her past. When these two come face to face there is an unmistakable attraction and you can feel the chemistry coming off the pages. I absolutely recommend this great book. Fantastic. Loved this book.

Fearless!. Halley Ward had a horrible childhood bouncing after being abandoned by her mom. Thankful her aunt found her and her sister Phoebe in foster care she is still afraid to live life to the fullest. Kane Harmon’s luck changes when Halley’s car broke down and he was sent to tow her in. Kane knew Halley was afraid but was determined to get to know this woman. Soon it was apparent to Kane that Halley was who he wanted a life with. Now will Halley be willing to take that chance? Fabulous new series and can’t wait for next book!!

Great start to this new series!!!. **Received ARC for a fair and honest review** Fearless is the first book in the Rosewood Bay series. This is Halley and Kane's story. I enjoyed this book, but it stagnated a few times where I needed to force myself to continue which is why I rated this book at 4 stars. Overall I did enjoy it, I enjoyed the storyline, Halley at times was a bit too weak of a character for me though, and I absolutely loved Kane. Halley and her sister Phoebe ended up in foster care when they were young because their father had been KIA while in Afghanistan and her mother turned to drugs. Unfortunately they were separated and didn't have the easiest time. When their Aunt Joy found them, they were already teenagers but took them in. While out driving Halley's auto breaks down and when she calls for a tow, a familiar face from high school is the one to show up. Once you get through the areas where the story stagnates, the story is enjoyable and moves, but Halley makes some bad decisions that really make you want to smack her and say what the heck is wrong with you. I like the premise for these stories and am very interested to see if Breathe unfolds a little smoother with less stagnation. Hope this helps. Happy Reading!!!

A great start to a new series. 5 star review Fearless (Rosewood Bay # 1) by Carly Phillips Ms.Phillips is off to a flying start with her latest series; this book got and kept my attention from the start and I read it in one sitting. Kane Harmon lives and works in Rosewood Bay running his garage business. He has no time for a committed relationship after being burnt before.When he takes his tow truck out to rescue a customer he is shocked to find the woman is Halley Ward, a woman he used to protect against school bullies in his youth. He had no idea that Halley was still in Rosewood Bay. Halley is lives the life of a hermit, distant from her family, she lives a life of solitude near the beach. From the moment Kane sets eyes on her again, he is attracted to her and is determined to bring Halley back to life, for her to re connect with her family and with life itself. Of course the only drawback to this plan is that Halley is not interested, or so she says. As Kane slowly chips away at the brick wall she has surrounded herself with, Halley becomes more and more intrigued with him and slowly opens up. I fell hard and fast for Kane, he is so kind and caring and swoon worthy; honestly I challenge anyone not to fall for Kane.Halley has overcome so much and I really was cheering for her to get her happily ever after. Brilliant Start to a New Series. Fearless is book 1 in the new Rosewood Bay Series and what a way to start, if this book is anything to go by Carly Phillips has another hit series on her hands. Kane runs the local garage in the beach town of Rosewood Bay, he is not interested in relationships after getting jilted and used by a summer vacationer, he has enough on his plate trying to stop his father gambling and helping out his single mum sister as well as running the garage. Things could be about to change for Kane when he goes on a tow truck pickup and he finds the woman stranded is no other than Halley Ward a woman he hasn’t seen in years, maybe Kane is about to realise relationships can work if you are with the right person, but will Halley want a man in her life....... What can I say about the characters in this book apart from you will fall in love with them, Kane is the sweetest, kindest , caring man you could wish to meet and Halley is the girl that was bullied at school learning not everyone is out to hurt you and maybe she should and could open up her heart...... This book has strong characters and an even stronger storyline, it captivated me and I could not put it down, it left me wanting more and I can’t wait for book two in this amazing series. I’m going to go as far as saying THIS IS A MUST READ !!!!!

Sweet story!. Great start to a new series! I loved getting to know these new characters. Kane was a solid, attentive sweetheart who knew what he wanted and had the patience to wait for it. Halley is a troubled, scarred young woman with trust issues who had to figure out herself before being able to move forward. Watching them work through things and Halley come out of her shell was emotional and touching. I really enjoyed meeting their family’s too and can’t wait to learn more about phoebe’s story!

Okay read. Started off promising enough but ended up being a drag. Same recurring issues for the main character to work through which is understandable but without a spark to spice it up I had to come back to it and read it a few chunks at a time. It just didn’t hold my attention.
