So good. I love second chance romances. Love and laughter can be beautiful but can Tyree find his own HEA twice in one lifetime? Get it On has it all. Although it can be read as a standalone, I feel that reading it in order is so much more rewarding.

Holy Mr. May. I couldn’t wait for Tyree’s story. It did not disappoint. Tyree Johnson is the owner of the bar The Fix on Sixth. Eva Anderson is a photographer. Twenty years ago they had a short love affair and Tyree was shipped out with the Marines. When he got home he went to find Eva with someone else. Thinking she moved on he met Teiko. Teiko became the love he wanted. But 7 years ago she was taking away from him. In walks Eva. This a great love story of second chances.

Tiger. “He wasn’t sure if he was luckier than most or cursed to have had that kind of passion. The kind of love that sunk into the marrow and made you part of the other person.” Mr. May has his own internal struggles that he has been fighting for seven years. Will the itch finally go away? Will he breakthrough what has been holding himself back and finally set his guilt free? “You don’t have to love her. You don’t have to want her. But please don’t hurt her.” Was it all lies, secrets and hiding from him? Or were they both deceived? Now they and looking to fulfill their memories, hopes, dreams and be freed of their regrets. Will they get their second chance or will the guilt win? “...how could a young woman grow up right if her closest role model was a woman who settled?” There are many emotions in this story and they are handled beautifully, passionately, respectfully and as always~with humor! I love the strength and weaknesses of these characters. The maturity yet the playfulness is just as endearing. “I said there wasn’t much. But I won’t give myself. I won’t settle. I did that before, and I’m not going to do it again….I want a man who loves me. Who isn’t afraid to love me completely.” Tyree was so easy to fall in love with. Yet I can’t wait to find out what Mr. June has in store for Parker in the Man of the Month series!

A great read!!!. This was the perfect addition to the Man Of The Month series!!! I’ve been hoping Tyree would get a book, and was so excited to see his was also a second chance love!! Him and Eva heated up the pages, with a little help from secondary characters who pushed them together. I loved that Eva was a strong heroine and driven in her career, but she also had time for love. This is definitely a must read!!!

Surprising, sexy, fun journey for Tyree. Tyree’s story surprised me. I knew he loved his wife and still felt her loss years later, but he had another amazing love story to tell. When Elena shows up at The Fix, she reminds him of a woman he lost years ago, Eva. When Eva appears, Tyree finds his world shifted again. Eva has built a career and is a strong confident woman but coming face-to-face with Tyree, well, she just isn’t prepared. Elena is the wild card and great manipulator. This second chance romance was so fun to experience while gut wrenching at the same time. You think you know what happened but as the story unfolds, there is a depth to the separation that surprised me. I just really wanted Tyree to find happiness again as he fights to keep his bar alive, he needs to keep his soul happy too.

The 5th standalone set in the Man of the Month series!. I was so looking forward to getting to know the owner of The Fix on Sixth a little better. I mean, Tyree has an amazing body, an absolute love for his bar, and he truly cares for the people he works with. That being said, Get It On just wasn't my favorite of the series. Don't get me wrong, I loved the main characters in the book, Tyree was dreamy, Eva was interesting, and Elena was spunky. However, I felt as if the reunion between these lost lovers was rushed, as was the ending. Also, the chemistry just felt off to me. That all said, I adore J. Kenner's writing, it's got this easy flow that makes you completely absorbed in the story. The conflict was interesting and different, and the sexy scenes were HOT. I'm loving the stories being intertwined, I can't wait for more!

Sweet second chance story!. Finally time to get Tyree's story! Even though it's been several years, he's still dealing with the loss of his wife. He's raising his son and working hard to keep his bar open. Tyree is a good man that's been through a lot and life hits him with something unexpected, a daughter. He gets a chance to know this young lady and reconnect with her mom. I enjoyed seeing him get his happy back!

Second Time Around. I really enjoyed Tyree’s story. I wasn’t sure how I would so it was a surprise that I finished it in just a few hours. It can be tricky writing and justifying a long lost love with a child involved that doesn’t make someone “the bad guy”, but J Kenner has done it with Tyree and Eva. They still had a connection even after so much time has passed. And I liked the fact that he loved his late wife, Teiko just as much and that he didn’t just “settle for second best”. I, also, liked the way J Kenner wrote their first attempt at intimacy, it was very real. Both Elijah and Elena seemed well adjusted and not bratty, which can be a refreshing change. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a quick, satisfying read.

In His Forties and Fabulous!. I love this series. I have pretty much said so in my review of each of the books before this one. What I loved most about this one was that our main characters are in their forties. Established in their lives. And now, they're getting a second chance. Not a "I haven't seen you in 5 or 10 years" kind of chance. This was a twenty-plus year separation! Love it! Tyree is just trying to keep his bar open. He's lost the 2 women he's ever loved. One to a lie. The other to a tragic accident. Fate hasn't exactly been his friend over the years. Well, Fate isn't taking his bar. Keeping his business alive has been his sole focus - until now. Eva, the first woman he ever loved, is back in his life - with the grown daughter he never knew he had. Can he see past his anger and the lies to see the second chance in front of him? Can he overcome the guilt he feels over feeling this way for Eva, when he still carries the love and the memory of his late wife? This was a great second chance love story!! I'm thrilled that the characters were of a more mature age than we typically see. I highly recommend this book and this series.

Loved it!. I've been with my husband for 26 years. I hope my love for him is as strong as Teiko was to Tyree. It was a once in a lifetime. This book rocked me to my core. When Eva said "Just don't hurt her" I lost it. Absolutely lost it. Cried like a kindergartener. This was the most thought out of all the books so far. I feel like J Kenner put more thought into this one. It was honest. It was genuine. It was heartfelt. I couldn't imagine what Tyree was going through. And Eva- she knew what she wanted. She wasn't going to settle. Eva didn't take "it" from anybody. I sincerely loved this book. I'd recommend it but you probably need to read the other 4 books in this series. I'm enjoying this journey. I feel like I'm on cloud 9.

Kenner's Man of the Month series and this one is about the owner of The Fix on Sixth himself, Tyree Johnson. We know from previous books that Tyree lost the love of his life, his wife Teiko, in a car accident and is raising their teenage son Eli on his own. What we didn't know is that Tyree had a love in his youth, Eva, who he had lost after shipping out. When his adult daughter, Elena, shows up to meet him, his world is rocked. Eva is not far behind Elena, once she finds out her daughter has gone to meet the dad she only heard stories about, and once Tyree and Eva see each other its not long until the years that have past melt away and their love rekindles. J. Kenner does a good job making sure that Tyree's wife, who passed away, is not just ignored as the past. Tyree's love for both Teiko and Eva are something he has to reconcile. Lucky for him he has a devious matchmaker in Elena who wants to see her parents get back together. I felt the path that Tyree takes gives his renewed relationship with Eva more meaning. His love for her is both old and new. They have history together and apart. Overall I very much enjoyed Get it On by J. Kenner. I have liked all the books in this series and since Tyree's character has been integral in past books it was nice to see him get his happily ever after. This was a very deep, complex and romantic book which I definitely recommend. Review: Man of the Month 5: Get It On. Get It On by J. Kenner is the fifth book in her new 12 book Man of the Month series. Told in dual POV this is where the owner of The Fix himself, Tyree, comes face to face with a past love and learns to open his heart again, not just with Eva but with their grown daughter that he only just found out existed. Tyree is blindsided by the knowledge that he has a daughter with Eva - the woman who broke his heart before he met his wife. With Teiko gone the past few years he has never really moved past losing her and he and his son, Elijah, have grown closer and gone through so much together since her death. Learning about his daughter, Elena, was a shock, but a pleasant surprise. Seeing Eva after all these years, however, left him speechless. Eva thought she had lost Tyree all those years ago and now that she knows the truth about the situation she is hesitant to make a move. Good thing for her and Tyree that their daughter, Elena, doesn't mind putting wither of them in the hot seat at all. Showing up in Austin felt like a mistake until it didn't and now she is willing to give his thing with them a chance. But is Tyree ready? Well-written and well-paced, this was another great read and I'm excited with how each of the upcoming characters are gently weaved into the plots in earlier stories without being obtrusive to the current story. Enjoy!

May’s MotM is Hot!!. I’m normally not one for the older couples in Books, nothing against them, it’s just not my thing. But Tyree and Eva’s story was quite hot and awesome!! I LOVE The Fix crowd! And Elena and Eli are just amazing!!! I love how sneaky Elena is to try and get her parents together, especially since it’s been 20 years since they’ve seen each other. Just another great installment of the MotM calendar and club! I LOVE this series so much!!!

Second chances. Tyree has had his share of love loss. First the woman he loved started a family with another man while he was fighting for his country overseas. Then he losses his wife after a tragic accident. It is not until a young woman comes into the bar that reminds him of the woman he let get away that the truth about what really happens comes to life. But can he let go of the memories of his wife in order to start again with his first love? Or will Tyree once again lose everything? With great characters and a storyline that you just want to keep reading this was a fabulous read. I cannot wait for more in this series.

Spoiler Alert. I struggled to get through this book. I think what made it hard for me was the age gap between myself and the characters and their storyline in general. I couldn’t place myself there. Tyree and Eva are a second chance romance secret baby story. There is guilt for Tyree for feeling as if he’s dishonoring his first wife’s memory. As I said, there were a lot things that it difficult to get through the story due to relate ability.

Best One So Far. OK, this book is now my favorite of the series (and no I haven't said that about every book, though Cameron is still my favorite book boyfriend of the series). I knew from the setup in the fourth book, that this book was going to be great. I couldn't put this book down. Tyree has loved two women and he thought he lost them both, or has he. Get ready for little bit of a rollercoaster ride. This one so far is the most emotional of the series. There is a balance of the anger and betrayal, and sympathy and love that these characters experience based on the curve ball(s) life has thrown at them. Tyree and Eva are both solid characters with obvious chemistry and a little bit older from what we've seen so far, so that is a refreshing take, especially since so many romance novels tend to revolve around younger characters. I will say the reason Tyree doesn't know about his daughter is a little cliché, but not something that is dwelled upon for longer than it needed to be. You'll fly through this book just like the others and when the series ends, I think there may be some seriously major book hangover happening. Based on the epilogue book 6 might be the steamiest of them all.

Get it On. I love reading this book. It reminds me of unrequited love and the Parent Trap too. I love how Ava and Elena fits into Tyree and Eli’s lives. It’s like they belonged together. It’s just sad that’s it’s taken over Twenty Years and the lost of a loved one to bring it home. As we all know everything happens for a reason.

Brilliant addition. 5 Star Review Get It On (Man of the Month #5) by J Kenner The fifth book in the series and is Tyree and Eva’s story and oh what a story it was, decades in the making. This was a fun quick story which flowed well and was a wonderful read. The books in this series can easily be read as stand alone, but since they are not that long and a quick and easy read I would recommend you one click them all. What happens when fate (or a father interference) steps in and changes the course of a couple’s lives? That is the position Tyree and Eva find themselves in when Tyree is suddenly confronted by Elena, the daughter he never knew he had. Turns out Eva’s father led her to believe that Tyree had been killed in action before their daughter was born. If he wasn’t already dead I am not sure he would have survived both Tyree and Eva’s anger. After losing his wife in a car accident 7 years ago, Tyree Johnson has led a lonely existence. Not being able to move on , he has thrown himself into bringing up his son Eli and the bar he owns The Fix. When Eva, his first love, suddenly comes back into his life, he is ecstatic and yet conflicted too. He has always loved her, but he also loved his wife and was shattered when she died. I had already come to love the character of Tyree whilst reading the other books in the series but in Get It On, he really came into the spotlight. I loved Tyree and Eva separately but most especially together. Eva is a strong and independent woman who is absolutely suited to Tyree. This may well be my favourite book to date, maybe because this is a second chance at love, which is a genre I love, but this one was a more emotional read and I was totally invested in these two from the start. I devoured this book in one sitting and cannot wait for Mr.June so one click now and see what happens.

Love this series. Book 5 in the Man of the Month Series and is this book we get to know what makes Tyree bar owner of The Fix tick, this was the story I have been waiting for because in all the previous books Tyree is in the background and for me he has become the mystery man of the series and I needed to know his story....... Tyree lost his wife seven years ago and since then running the bar and bringing up his son has been his sole purpose so when a young woman walks into the bar claiming to be his daughter he is stunned but when she tells him her name it all falls into place, he realises she is the daughter of the girlfriend he had when he joined the military the girlfriend he thought had moved on while he was active duty. Eva has spent the last 23 years believing Tyree had been killed in action so she was just as stunned to find out he was still alive, what follows is two people learning to know each other and falling in love again as well a siblings getting to know each other........ I love this series and I love that every book can be read as stand-alones, the characters are all very different and all have there own story to tell, I’m really looking forward to meeting Mr June.
