Latest Edition in a Fun and Steamy Series. I love the work that the author does. The chemistry between characters is always top notch and the characters themselves are strong individuals with flaws and baggage. So far the guys of the series have come from blue collar backgrounds, no real billionaires here until we come across Parker. Parker ends up not being your typical wealthy alpha, but his behavior at the end of Chapter 8 threw me for a loop in a good way. He wasn't quite what I expected, while I would have taken him any way I could have gotten him, his behavior and manners warmed my heart. Megan, who we met in the first book of the series, finally gets her story and we find out why she gave up her thriving business and left LA. If you've been reading the series and enjoying it, you'll probably enjoy this book to. Overall I did enjoy it, but it left me wanting more, but not necessarily for the right reasons. I'm treading carefully with this review as to not spoil it for anyone else. It has always been my understanding with this series that each book was to be read as a stand alone, but based on an event towards the end of the story, I'm not so sure about that now, but at the same time, I'm not so sure where this story will pick up and work itself out. For the first five books when I got to the end, I was sad that it was done, but everything wrapped up nicely, no unanswered questions. However, when this ended, I was "WHAT?!?!" Each of these books has been a HEA (which this book has) and has had that tear apart moment that forces the main characters to "breakup" and stay apart of a little bit, but then come back together stronger than ever. There are also always little tiffs between the characters. This book didn't have that major tear apart moment. I thought that moment was going to be Meghan's past from LA coming back and laying doubt in her mind about Parker (end of Chapter 14), but no, the moment was quickly wrapped up in a manner of a few paragraphs and shortly after that the book ended. A lot of this story felt rushed to me, that there are missing connections in the story line and/or between the characters. Maybe I'm not remembering all the details I should from the first five books. Sometimes I couldn't get a good read on Meghan's and Parker's behavior in certain situations. Maybe after I complete the series, I might come back and tweak this review with a "it all works itself out in the end". The set up for book six is sure to please and we got to see a little more of the true Griffin since Meghan and him are buddies.

Review: Man of the Month 6: In Your Eyes. In Your Eyes by J. Kenner is the sixth book in her new 12 book Man of the Month series. Told in dual POV this is the story of Megan, the make-up artist we met in the first book and Parker, the pharmaceutical company owner that is next in line for the calendar competition. Megan and Parker had met before back when they were both in L.A. She was seeing someone else and he was beyond interested but didn't pursue her. After a mistake in paperwork forces the two of them to meet to discuss how to rectify Megan's error a deal is struck and it could change both of their lives, for the better, forever, until a dark spot from Megan's past shows up and tries to ruin everything. Well-written and well-paced, this was another great read and I'm excited with how each of the upcoming characters are gently weaved into the plots in earlier stories without being obtrusive to the current story. Summer Heat. 4.35 stars I have read every book in this series so far and they are just a breath of fresh air. The latest book is a second chance romance between Megan and Parker. Megan is a makeup artist who left California to get away from her obsessive boyfriend and winds up in Texas where she befriends the crew at The Fix. The Fix is the local bar trying to save itself by hosting a series of contests to find the man of the month in an effort to pay off the mortgage debt. Megan comes up with the idea to have local celebrities participate and jumps the gun when she has flyers posted all around town promoting the event that is scheduled to feature Parker. He relocated his business to Texas to change his image and is unsure that he wants to participate. What ensues is a heartwarming, face paced read that may come crashing down when Megan’s past shows up to throw a wrench in her new life. I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book and the opinion expressed is my own.

I really loved Parker and Megan’s story!. Parker and Megan's story sucked me in and was fast paced enjoyment! Megan is starting over in Austin and she is enjoying her new gig, but makes a bit of an error that she has to correct. This action has her running into Parker, whom she knows of from LA. He is not at all what she expected and he to most he may not seem like it, but he's a gentleman. I really enjoyed watching their story unfold and I was waiting for the other shoe to drop because of the circumstances of Megan's LA departure. I was glued to this story and it was so good!

Here comes Parker!. The Man of the Month series all started when the local bar called The Fix on Sixth, owned by Tyree, was on the verge of closing. Long time friends Jenna, Reece, and Brent jump in to invest in the bar and come up with ways to raise money and to bring more customers in. One of those ideas was to hold a Calendar of the Month contest in the bar focusing on local celebrities. Each book in the series represents the man of that month and this one is Parker and Megan's story. Megan is working part time at the bar to lend her makeup artist talents to the contestants. She came up with the idea to create flyers of the contestants to create more hype for the bar. When she learned that Billionaire bad boy Parker Manning moved to town, she called up his assistant to get him involved. Too bad that assistant accepted for him with out actually asking him. When Parker finds his face on a flyer for some contest, he's not happy. He calls up the bar to have them remove him from the flyer and issue a statement that they made a mistake. When Megan shows up to fix the mistake, he changes his plans to finally get the girl that got away. Parker and Megan are no strangers to each other. They met back in LA and Megan had just started dating someone when Parker asked her out and she turned him down. Parker was hot! He comes off as just your typical player but you could see that Megan was different for him from the start. I liked these two and they made for a fun story. We also got a more up close look at Griffin's character since he's such good friends with Megan. He's not the next book in line though. We have to wait a bit before we get his book. He's very intriguing and I can't wait to see who he gets paired up with. Derek and Amanda are the next in line. They already have an interesting start to their relationship and a bomb just got dropped in the epilogue. I don't know if it's a good bomb or bad. We will see... ARC provided by SocialButterfly PR.

Great story!. Great story of Megan and Parker in “Man of the Month” #6. An “oops” by Megan becomes an “oh-my” for readers! The only hang up on and reason for 4 stars vs 5, is that we don’t actually find out what happens to Megan’s ex, Carlton.

June Is My New Favorite Month!. Whoa! Hello Mr. June!! Loved this story of Parker and Megan! Parker, reputed to be a love 'em and leave 'em kind of man is ready to hang up his reputation. But only for her. Megan, making a mess of the contest needs Parker to make it right. And she'll do anything, including giving herself to Parker for one night. What she doesn't count on is falling for him. Bring on July!!!

Outstanding. This series is fantastic! The pacing is perfect and the pages are filled with steamy lines of desire. In Your Eyes has it all. The descriptive writing gives you the perfect combination for a great story. J. Kenner’s ability to make each Man of the Month book special, without being repetitive, takes talent to a whole new level of awesomeness!

A must read!!. This was a great sexy read!!! A little different than the other books, as to the time frame with the calendar and judging, and it was a great change of pace. Parker and Megan are fantastic together. They heat up the pages and leave you wanting more. There was a bit of suspense thrown in, and I loved catching up with some of my favorite characters. I can’t wait for the next book! I would definitely recommend this!!

Great addition to the series. I was really looking forward to this book from J. Kenner and I wasn't disappointed. I've enjoyed each installment of this Man of the Month series-and In Your Eyes was no exception. This book can be enjoyed as a standalone, but I recommend reading the others in the series as well. I liked Megan. She's smart and sassy-and she's making a life for herself. She's rebuilding her life after a bad relationship and I applaud that. I also LOVED that she says she isn't looking for a relationship. It's a refreshing angle for the woman to take that position. This is a woman I'd be friends with-I truly just liked her. Parker had me grinning. An alpha male who is used to getting his way with everyone-except Megan? Surely that sets up a fun read. And it did. He seems like a player a bit...until Megan. I liked watching him with her, seeing how he would get his way...and watching him fall. There's chemistry between these two. They have a connection; they have a bit of a past and it works. I believed in their actions and I truly rooted for them to work things out. There were some parts of this story that seemed a little bit rushed for me but I think that we'll get an opportunity for more resolution throughout the rest of the series. The concept for the story for these two specifically, and the series as a whole, is just fun for me. I love getting a new book each month that allows us back into the lives of these characters-even in bits and pieces. I enjoyed this book and would recommend it.

Quick, entertaining read!. If you’re looking for a quick, easy read, this is for you! Parker and Megan were entertaining and the dialogue could get hot. My main complaint was that we didn’t really get to know them as well as I would have hoped. I felt that in the previous Man of the Month books, we got to know the couples and their friends pretty well in a short amount of time. I just felt that Parker and Megan had so much more to their story to tell. All in all, J Kenner is a fabulous writer who is always a must read.

Great addition to the Man of the Month series. In Your Eyes by J. Kenner is the next installment in the Man of the Month series and it is just as hot and fun as the rest of this series has been. The book starts off with Billionaire Parker Manning wondering what this contest he's been booked for is. Since his assistant accepted for him and didn't tell him, its up to Megan Clark to make things right. Megan and Parker have a bit of history together and Parker sees a way that they can both get something they want. Parker is everything you could want in a rich, playboy billionaire, but something about Megan makes him act different than a typical fling. We get to learn more about Megan's backstory in In Your Eyes and it makes things complicated, but Parker knows what he wants and is a man who does what it takes to get it. These two characters clicked together in many ways, and what starts out as one night becomes more. Parker is a great addition to the Man of The Month series, and calendar and growing and developing Megan's character, who we have known since the beginning gives the book more depth and connection. Overall In Your Eyes by J. Kenner was fun, passionate and hot. A great addition to The Man of the Month series and I can't wait to see where the next books take us. Can’t resist hot men. Another month, another hot man. When Megan gets devastatingly hot bachelor Parker to agree to be part of the calendar competition she thinks everything will turn out great, but he throws a wrench in that plan when he tells her he wants no part of it....that is unless she gives him one night. But the two have a history, and he has always wanted her. But can he win her over with his alpha male theatrics? Or will the true feelings he has had for her for years break down her walls and finally give her the HEA she never thought she could achieve? Once again J. Kenner writes another great storyline filled with ups and downs but the end result is never disappointing. Cannot wait for the next in the series.

In Your Eye. The eyes truly are the windows to your soul, they tell you everything. I just love reading about Parker and Megan, they are soulmates. They have shared experiences that set them on a path strength and self reliance. They have come a long way from the crazy fast pace LA to a more quiet relaxed Austin. It’s one of those kismet mishaps that eventually set them on a course of no return, but to solidify their bond with one another.

Mr. June. In Your Eyes J. Kenner 5 Steamy Stars “Possessive hands. Wild obsession. He’ll break any rule to claim her.” Wow! Wow! Wow! I have a new winner in the calendar contest. This book just kept you rooting for them. It had it all. History. Regret. Forgiveness. Passion. Humor. Chemistry. “I know how to tame desire and put a leash on passion.” I love how they both are passionate about their work. Loyal to their friends and family. Strong, smart characters that have overcome difficult pasts and are trying to be better people. “I’m going to hold you close while you shatter, and then I will slowly and deliberately, put you back together again.” Anxiously awaiting Mr. July in Turn Me On. It will be very difficult to top Mr. June….if anyone can it’s J Kenner! “I want to feel you moving inside me. I want you to take me to the stars, and I want to take you right along with me.”

Really great read. Not a bad little novella. It didn't have the danger I thought it'd have. But that's ok. It was still good. The intimate moments were just ok. I've read steamier. But still delightful. I was really glad that Parker was seriously into Megan. They made a great couple. I liked the trip to New Orleans. This was such a short book I had a hard time getting to know the characters.

Great Addition to a brilliant series. Book 6 in the Man of the Month Series and this is where we meet Mr June, I would say you need to read this series in order because even though each month is about a different man you do get characters from previous books making an appearance and the earlier couples are important to the storyline. Parker is a confidant businessman who knows what he wants and he usually gets its, when he finds himself on flyers all over town saying he is entering the man of the month for Mr June he sees this as the ideal opportunity to take Megan out on a date, after all she made the mistake and has him entered for a contest he knew nothing about but will one date be enough, will Megan let Parker know how she feels about him........l. This book is steamy, it’s passionate and the characters are easy to love, this series is getting better and better with each book if that is possible Parker is my favourite man so far. Looking forward to meeting Mr July and his partner.

This was a fun quick story which flowed well and was a wonderful read. The books in this series can easily be read as stand alone, but since they are not that long and a quick and easy read I would recommend you one click them all. Parker Manning is my kind of guy; he just oozes Alpha male from every pore of his body. Megan is a woman who is hiding from a stalker ex and although she knew Parker in a previous life the last thing she wants or needs is to be in the public eye too much. When a mix up happens Megan is forced to confront Parker and beg him to appear in the June contest as she has already advertised his participation. She is shocked when he agrees but has one condition in exchange for his participation, a night with her. Parker was interested in Megan when he met her in LA, however she was the one who got away, having been involved with an acquaintance of his. Megan has no choice but to agree and in truth she is extremely attracted to Parker so it will not be that much of an issue. What happens when Parker wants more than a night of passion with Megan, will she risk her heart again or run from a chance at true happiness? What will happen when her pass comes back to haunt her?
