Another enjoyable Man of the Month read!. Whew! This book was action packed and had me on the edge of my seat! I knew it would be a HEA, but the threat behind Taylor was enough to make me nervous! I was lost in Landon and Taylor's story! I enjoyed how life brought them together and their chemistry was combustible! I enjoyed the way the reader (and Landon) are slowly clued into what happened in Taylor's past. I liked how Landon wanted to protect her and the safety he offered her. I enjoyed how Taylor let herself trust Landon and fall for him. All-around enjoyable read!

Mr. August. Shake It Up by J. Kenner 5 Stars “If I give in, if I let our bodies take over, it could draw her stalker out. Our passion could save her. Or it could destroy us both.” I love the Man of the Month Series and can’t wait for each book to release, but I don’t want it to end! I love the friendships, struggles, support, push and pull and even the hardships. Everyone is starting to feel like home. I will be sad when December has released only because the series will be over. Mr. August will have you hoping for your own crisis so he can step in and protect you. He is sexy, alpha, compassionate and a tad bit protective. “He’d found her. Somehow, he’d found her. She thought about starting over. About the logistics of finding a safe place to hide. About being alone without her friends. Without a job. With absolutely nothing except her wits.” She has relied on herself for so long she doesn’t know when to trust, accept the help from a friend or follow her gut. She is too busy looking over her shoulder, hiding or starting over. “how could she tell him that her greatest fear was that once he knew the truth about her, he’d no longer want her anymore?” Looking forward to All Night Long, book 9 in the Man of the Month series!

Stalker leads to love?. Taylor and Landon literally ran into each other outside of the Fix. They are both attracted but holding back for various reasons. When Taylor starts getting strange notes and messages Landon is brought in as a favor and because he’s a cop. At first, they assume its guy at her school who asked her out but she turned down. She doesn’t want to believe the past has come back to haunt her. Landon and Taylor act as a couple to entice him out of hiding. Will Landon keep her safe? Will they catch the stalker? Will they both stop fighting their feelings?

Review: Man of the Month 8: Shake It Up. Shake It Up by J. Kenner is the eighth book in her new 12 book Man of the Month series. Told in dual POV this is the story of Landon and Taylor, the broody detective and the damsel in distress. Taylor's life is in danger. That much is clear. When Brent, her boss at The Fix, enlists the help of his detective friend, Landon, to watch over her while he is on vacation, he doesn't realize that the attraction between them will reach explosive levels. Landon tries to keep his distance from this beautiful woman, but being forced together under the circumstances doesn't allow him the distance he might ned to quell his desires. Despite his best efforts, the two of them begin to fall for one another. But danger is still looming close and it's now up to Landon to end Taylor's problems, once and for all. Well-written and well-paced, this was another great read and I'm excited with how each of the upcoming characters are gently weaved into the plots in earlier stories without being obtrusive to the current story. Getting Back on Track. Alright, I feel like we’re getting back on track with this series. I felt like Book 7, In Your Eyes, was lacking and I think it might have been due to the timespan of the book and its short length. Whereas the last book took place over a year, this book takes place over a couple weeks. Taylor’s got a stalker and Detective Landon Ware steps in as a “favor”. While Landon is older than Taylor this is hardly May-December romance. While there is chemistry between the two, the sexy times aren’t very steamy, hence the four star rating. The development of their relationship lacked some building blocks due to the short time frame. These two don’t have that “tear apart” moment I’ve mentioned before, but they both come with their respective baggage. If you’ve been reading the series, you’re most likely invested in Reece, Cam, Nolan, Tyree, Parker, Easton, Griffin, and Brent. Spencer’s story was part of the building blocks of the series. Derek and Landon, (and mostly likely Matthew) are just the wild cards, the hotties for ladies we’ve become invested in from the previous books. Their stories aren’t meant to be game changers to the series, just some filling to progress the story line.

A quick sexy must read!. This book was sexy, sweet, and had me on the edge of my seat with the suspense aspects!! These two were perfect together, and loved the alpha side that came out in Landon when it came to Taylor. The twists and turns were awesome, and what a ride it was when everything finally came to a head. A quick read that I would definitely recommend!

Sexy, suspenseful fun. Another sexy ‘Man of the Month,’ this one carries a badge. Taylor finds herself in trouble, she seems to have a stalker but her worst fear is that this is someone from her past that has found her. She has deep secrets that she has never shared with her friends in Austin. She enlists Brent’s help who pulls in Landon, the sexy police officer that grabs Taylor’s attention every time he is at The Fix. Landon is happy to help Taylor with her stalker however, he’s not sure he can keep his distance even though he doesn’t believe in relationships. As they unravel the mystery, will they unravel their hearts too?

Man of the Month #8. Landon and Taylor’s story reads like a romantic mystery suspense. We finally learn the truth about Taylor and why she’s skittish in all the previous books. Landon must overcome hang-ups from his past to try to move forward with a new romance. Their stories are similar, but can they overcome their pasts to move forward with their future?

Suspense and Steam for Mr. August. Shake It Up – that’s exactly what J. Kenner does with the 8th installment of her Man of the Month series because Landon and Taylor’s story is romantic suspense unlike the previous books, but readers need not worry about anything else being ‘shook up’ because Kenner still gives her readers a quick and dirty read and definitely leaves them satisfied;) Mr. August is a police officer turned body guard who volunteers to protect a woman who he has been attracted to since the first time they met, which means this may be the best thing for him or the worst, considering he’s supposed to ‘guard’ her body not give into the desire to own her body and soul. Readers can guess how well Landon fights his attraction to Taylor while they’re constantly in close proximity to each other, but even though he does cross the line, it’s clear that Landon and Taylor share an intense connection that they both want to explore, so even though she’s eleven years younger than him and is being stalked by an extremely dangerous man from her past, they can’t get enough of one another Readers familiar with the Man of the Month series will already have some knowledge of who Taylor is, but it’s not until Shake It Up that we learn about her past and the bad things that were supposed to be behind her. I definitely think that because Taylor is a familiar face that her and Landon’s story will have readers even more invested in the plot line and Taylor’s safety and the added suspense and the anticipation of the stalker striking also will keep readers’ interest and have them anxiously turning the pages to find out what happens with both Landon and Taylor’s relationship as well as the outcome of a very dangerous situation. 8 men have been selected for the calendar to help raise money for The Fix, which means we’re down 4, and I, for one, can’t wait to see who graces the other months of the year and who J. Seventh book is great.. This is the seventh book in the Man of The Month series. Landon and Taylor are so right for each other. They are hot and sexy just add some drama and you have a great read. This is a must read. The book is a fast read too.

Great read!. This is one of my favorites from the Man of the Month, at least so far. Landon was such a good guy and Taylor a strong woman, especially considering their backgrounds. Their connection was real and the sex was hot. When you don’t have a lot of time to read, this series fits the bill.

Well, Hello Mr. August!!. I love this series! Not only does this one have steam, but there's mystery and danger too! Taylor thought she had finally put her past behind her. No way HE would find her again. Creepy notes and photos, vandalism to her car, and a feeling that she's being watch all point to how wrong she is. Landon Ware is one of Austin's finest and now he's been asked to keep her safe until they can find the man behind all of this. Landon will find him and make sure that he never comes near Taylor again. Landon is drawn to her, despite their decade age difference. But in matters of the heart, age is no barrier. These two are off the charts steamy!! Can't wait for Mr. September!!

Just when you thought Man of the Month couldn’t get any better, Landon and Taylor’s arrive.. Wow!! Landon is a man every woman would want, strong, gorgeous and a cop. Taylor is a woman who has gone through a lot and came up strong. You cannot help being pulled into their story from the moment you start. A FANTASTIC story you will not want to put down.

4.5 Stars!. Taylor finds her past has come back to haunt her and she either needs to skip town or trust in Landon to protect her. Landon has a thing for Taylor but he's kept his distance due to her younger age. When she gets threatened, his need to protect her gave him the perfect excuse to get closer to her. I'm such a sucker for an older man/younger woman story. I was afraid there was going to be some major pushing away since we learned in a previous book that Landon was burned in his past. Thankfully, that didn't happen. While they didn't fall in love at first site, they also didn't resist the attraction. I enjoyed reading about this couple. I wish it was a bit longer so we could have gotten more. Brief Series Description: The Man of the Month series all started when the local bar called The Fix on Sixth, owned by Tyree, was on the verge of closing. Long time friends Jenna, Reece, and Brent jump in to invest in the bar and come up with ways to raise money and to bring more customers in. One of those ideas was to hold a Calendar of the Month contest in the bar focusing on local celebrities. Each book in the series represents the man of that month.

Really great read. I thought this had a little bit of Shake It Up written all over it but it worked. The stalking. It was a bit like hind site. Anyhoo. This was a good read. I enjoyed the "danger" and the mystery. I actually liked Taylor's story. It was so realistic and down to earth. I enjoyed their intimate moments and cuddling. I enjoyed their disagreements. I enjoyed this book. Though is had very little to do with the calendar. It felt like that part was thrown in at the last moment.

Shake It Up was a very nice addition to the series.... Shake It Up by J. Kenner is Man of the Month series, Book 8. From the moment that Taylor D'Angelo and Landon Ware ran into each other, literally, there was an immediate attraction. Problem is, neither thinks they are right for the other person. Taylor is finishing up her degree and helping out with the Man of the Month contest at The Fix on Sixth but when threatening notes start to appear she is worried that she has picked up a stalker from one of her classes, or worse someone from her past come back to haunt her. When Landon finds out that Taylor is in trouble he will stop at nothing to protect her and since he is a cop, he's pretty good at that sort of thing. Once they actually talk to each other its not long before the walls that each had put up to keep thoughts of the other out of their mind breaks down and something more grows, hot and fast, between them. These characters have deep wounds from their history but once they taste each other they know it's different and worth fighting for. I liked how while each had valid self doubts it was not something that was dragged out or forced to be something that divided them. Learning more about Landon and Taylor's characters after seeing them in other books was nice and at this point the cast of characters that has been built in this series is vast, diverse, fun and romantic. Overall I like all the books that J. Kenner has written in this series and Shake It Up was a very nice addition. So good. So good! Eighth in the Man of the Month series, Taylor and Landon’s book can be read as a standalone. Fast paced, with an edge of uncertainty, this book had me guessing and excited for each page I read. The humor, emotion and sexy time were well written and had me completely drawn in. J Kenner’s has work has always left me with all the feels. She did not disappoint me with Shake It Up A fantastic read!

Loved It. 5 Star Review Shake It Up (Man of the Month #8) by J Kenner This is the eight book in the series and is Taylor and Landon’s story. Shake It Up is a fun quick story which was extremely well written and a great read. Every time I read the books in this series, I don’t think that it can beat the previous ones but this one has. Landon makes me swoon, not only is he a detective with a heart of gold, he is everything that I love in a hero. Taylor is in trouble, her past has finally caught up with her and now not only is she in danger but those that she has come to care for are as well. This book had it all, smoking scenes and intense heat between the characters as well as drama, suspense and intrigue. Landon has been interested in Taylor since he first saw her and the attraction is mutual. When danger rears it’s ugly head, Landon steps in to protect her. Can Landon keep Taylor safe? Or will her past finally catch up with Taylor and destroy the happiness she has found with Landon and her friends at The Fix. One click now and find out. The books in this series can easily be read as stand alone, but since they are not that long and a quick and easy read I would recommend you one click them all. I am excited to see what happens in the next book; bring on Mr. September.

Perfect addition to the Man of the Month Series. Another 5 Star read in The brilliant Man of the Month Series and I have to say this is for me the best so far, problem is every new release seems to be better than the last so I’m sure this won’t be the last time I say this. Book 8 is Taylor and Landon’s story and as with every book in the series it can be read as a stand-alone. Shake it Up has a lot going for it, it’s a face paced read with a lot going on to keep you on the edge of your seat and It also has a bit more mystery to it than previous books in the series. Taylor has always been the life and sole if the party at The Fix but in this book we see a much more serious side to this fun loving gal, she has a past she is desperate to hide but when the past comes back to haunt her she has no option but to open up to police officer Landon and her other friends at The Fix. Landon now has the perfect opportunity to show the girl who sets his heart beating a little bit faster that he is the one to protect and take care of her. J.Kenner is doing a brilliant job with this series and I really can’t wai for Mr September.
