Very Irresistible Playboy. Great book! Interesting story, really great characters and a very sweet HEA ending!

Ok, but had the potential to be a lot better. I am not one to put down any authors work, because I can only imagine how it feels to write, grasp ones interest and keep it. This book has the potential to be so much more. I loved the way it was going, but then it fell off and I lost track of one of the main characters which is Max. I felt like The Whole book was about Hallie and I completely lost Max’s role. I wanted to know more about Max and his thoughts. Now it would have been fine to go that route, but at least allow Hallie to carry that for both her and Max. Honestly after reading that book I still know nothing about Max. I would definitely give this author another try, because I am a firm believer of second chances.

Great Sex, Missing Connections. The books starts off with all kinds of promise - lots of heat, flirting, fun in a classic average girl meets rich bachelor and changes him romance. However, there are so many places to build up the connection between the two main characters, and to build the personalities of the antagonists in their interactions with the Max and Hallie. However, those conversations and interactions are almost glossed over like a footnote. As always, though, Lila’s written in some truly steamy sex scenes that have heat. I just wish I felt the connection between the main characters outside of the bedroom.

Loved Max and Hallie. When life seems down, always look up. Hallie is struggling to get her career going, but who would have expected a week of fun and games to bring in all together. Max is a strikingly handsome and charismatic playboy who hasn’t taken life as seriously as he should. Thank goodness for chocolate cupcakes and unexpected week with a fake girlfriend and conniving relatives. Too good to not read with many sexy pleasures to enhance the escapades.

Fake relationship√ Inheritance on the line√ Insane attraction and chemistry between hero/heroine√ I’ve learned after reading my fair share of romantic comedies that when the above three circumstances mix together, it’s anybody’s guess how everything is going to play out, but one thing is for sure, by the time the story is over, readers will be thoroughly spent giggling, swooning, and shaking their heads at the antics of both the hero and the heroine and what develops out of their ‘all for show’ romance. Max Carlisle is the ultimate billionaire bachelor, but it’s a title he doesn’t really covet; his passions and his family’s legacy are what mean the most to him, and while his swagger and cockiness is fon point, what I loved most about Max was that once Hallie worked herself past his defenses and allowed her to see the ‘real’ man beneath the billionaire, that’s the man who I knew was a perfect match for the witty and beautiful photographer. The plot is a bit chaotic, but that’s what happens when the end prize is life changing and the hunt they go on proves more dubious than it appears, but while Max and Hallie’s journey, at first, is a means to an end, it’s clear that with each new obstacle they face, their partnership becomes more about their feelings for each other than what treasures they’ll find as they continue their quest because it’s clear that the ultimate riches don’t come in material form but more like a beating heart that’s ready for love. Very Irresistible Playboy by Lila Monroe is a highly entertaining romantic comedy told in dual point of view, which works well because the readers get to see where Max and Hallie’s thoughts and feelings are at the beginning of their ruse and how they transform into something neither of them ever expected upon their initial encounter. 4 Poison Apples (The Fairest of All Book Reviews)

Very Irresistible Playboy. Great story and I loved the treasure hunt!

Loved it. Great reading

Good, but packed with some unnecessary baggage. There were a couple of things that didn’t quite line up, but otherwise this was a fun little story. And best of all I wasn’t questioning the fundamental reality of the entire relationship the whole time. Too many times the characters have had ABSOLUTELY NO chemistry and end up together simply because they were brainwashed by their libidos and hormones and the writer wanted it that way. But THIS story they had legitimate sparks, and full-blown chemistry that was a delight to see develop. But like I said a couple of things were weird like I couldn’t keep the family tree straight, so basically I didn’t know who was who for 99% of this book. There were cousins but that’s all they were called no explanation as to who their parents were in relation to Max and Grandpa. Also there was the punk girl (cousin?) who was there at first and then just dropped of the face of the planet. I mean it SEEMED like a for a second there she would be an important alley, but then completely dropped out of the story and was never mentioned again. The story could have been more simplified and would have had less loose ends and still ended the same.

Perfect mix. Wow This story was surprisingly good. This strongly resembles The Inheritance Games, with the mystery, thrill, vicious relatives and romance. Well… lots of romance. Obviously plot proceeds quite fast, but it’s better than multiple slow paced books dedicated to this plot. Seriously go read, it really is a good story that you will enjoy!!!!

So good, so funny, so hot. 5 Star Review of VIP (Billionaire Bachelors Book 1) by Lila Monroe  This is book one in Lila Monroe’s new series Billionaire Bachelors and if this book is any indication I think she has another winning series on her hands. This is the story of smoking hot Max Carlisle who is the heir to a media empire and Hallie Gage who is an up and coming photographer who through no fault of her own has landed in some troubled waters. When an intriguing offer is put to Hallie, to act as his fake girlfriend for 7 days will she take a risk and accept? After all what trouble could she get into? VIP (Very Irresistible Playboy) is full of laugh out loud moments which had me almost in tears not to mention is as hot as hades. I thoroughly enjoy the romantic comedy genre and Lila Monroe is an excellent example of an author who knows what she is doing. I adore her style of writing and found her characters to be captivating. I love Hallie her confidence and sass was easily a match for the self confident and highly appealing Max.Their chemistry was electrifying.and the secondary characters were almost as entertaining. This was a rollicking read full of great moments that really brought a smile to my face and one that I really didn’t want to put down. I cannot wait for the next book in the series. Fun adventure!. This author is creative with her stories. Love the adventures that Max and Hallie take in their fake relationship. This story had me hooked at the start. You will laugh and cheer these two onward. I am new to reading this authors books and I can’t wait to read more!

Scavenger Hunts Will Occur in this book. Max Carlisle’s first meeting with Hallie Gage is at a wedding, Max is trying to avoid someone and Hallie is testing out the chocolate cupcakes! That’s where they have their first kiss, then Hallie disappears. Max is in need of a fake girlfriend so he hires Olivia Danvers whose agency finds a suitable woman for men who need a date or “girlfriend” for a dinner or fundraiser. Olivia offers Hallie a job as a fake girlfriend for a client and it just so happens that Max is that client! Hallie and Max jet off to Palm Beach for the 85th birthday of Max’s grandfather and that is when the fun begins. From shopping to balls, Max and Hallie’s job is to convince his family that they are a couple just there to celebrate. Everything is moving along fine until the Scavenger Hunt begins the night of the ball and Hallie and Max set off to find the prize at the end of the hunt. Along the way there is laughter, a deer in the headlights moment and a line that is crossed as Hallie and Max grow closer only to have one of Max’s cousins end anything that could have become a beautiful relationship between them. Lila Monroe has a wonderful sense of humour and it shines through in this book, most especially during the scavenger hunt. She takes the flirting going on between Max and Hallie and brings out the hot sexual relationship they are meant to have. When his crazy family gets their chance to use Hallie against Max, she shows how Hallie has brought Max around and brought him back into the inner workings of his crazy grandfather and family. This was a delight to read and I plan on continuing reading Lila Monroe’s books.
