Saving the Sheriff. This book was a lovely read about two lonely and heartbroken people needing to find a way back to trust and love again. Noel and Cash struggled to find their way back to trusting again after devastating experiences. It was fun to read as the ice around their hearts began to slowly melt and passion ignites. I thoroughly enjoyed the book.

Good but not Great. If your looking for a great dramatic tear jerker romance, keep looking! This book is a super ordinary, typical generic romance. The most exciting thing is hearing about the horses and the main characters toe nail colors!

Heartwarming Romance. Saving the Sheriff (The Hills of Texas Book 1) by Kadie Scott This is Sheriff Cash Hill and Holly Jensen’s story. Cash and Holly have connections from the past. Holly has secretly had a crush on Cash but her best friend ends up pregnant by Cash and then married to him. Cash is now a widower raising his daughter. Holly has moved back to town and ends up crossing paths with Cash. An entertaining story with chemistry, miscommunications, and secrets. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Needed more chapters. I fell in love with the main Male character Cash, but the story ended so sudden, and should have been drawn out longer.

A Fun Read. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Holly has always had a secret crush on Cash while growing up but then her best friend married him. Holly has now returned to town as the veterinarian and Cash is a single father and town sheriff. Cash's first wife died in a car accident, after writing a note to him that she was leaving him. Now begins the journey of falling in love between Cash and Holly that will bring out many emotions from the reader. This is the first book in the series, can't wait to read more. This is a new author for me.

Spoiler Alert!. Not really a fan of hand-me-down relationships. Georgia was like a sister to Holly. Holly liked Cash. Georgia got pregnant with Cash’s baby and they ended up married. Georgia died in an accident. Holly and Cash got together. Cash, her kinda brother-in-law. Ick!

Saving the sheriff. When Holly was away at vet school her bestie, Georgia, had a wild night, with the guy she had a huge crush on, and got pregnant and married him causing a rift between them. But now she was back with her degree, a job and still with a crush on Cash, but now he is a widow and not wanting to have anything to do with her. His daughter is another matter and soon makes it hard not to see each other. Can they overcome their hang ups to have a future together. A wonderful story.
