Another been there, done that. I really expected this book to give inside detail since Baez was working so closely with AH. It’s very superficial. Skip this and read the newspaper coverage instead. Such a disappointment.

Amazing!. I’ve adored Aaron Hernandez and enjoyed watching him play. You know raw talent when you see it and Aaron emulated that. I initially bought this book after watching the Netflix series because I knew there was much more to that of what is on Netflix. Jose Baez is an incredibly intelligent man and the love and dedication he had for Aaron and his trial is beyond! It’s a very tragic end to a life I believe could have gone much further! Oh what could have been! This book brings peace and TRUE understanding of so many things that many have questioned about his behavior/actions although we are in no position to judge. Absolutely loved this book. I’m a mother of 3, work full time and finished this book in 4-5 days. Amazing! RIL Aaron J. Hernandez!

Unbelievable!. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and read it in a few short days. I learned a lot about the judicial system and misconceptions behind closed doors to the public. Highly recommend!

5 stars. Jose is simply real, smart and funny. I didn’t plan on reading this book, but the way he shows the real side of what he does draws you in. This book is all heart and soul, and I highly recommend. Jose will take you for an interesting ride and when you finish you will never look at a courtroom the same again.

Awesome book. By far the fastest book i ever read. Even while on vacation i manage to read this book in 3 days. I just couldn’t stop reading it. Great insight on the case in Boston. It’s sad the way things turned out for Hernandez. P.S i don’t believe he killed himself though.

Amazing read!!!!!!!. I read this book in a total of 3 days. I couldn’t put it down, it is so well written. You’re in the edge of you’re seat the whole time you’re reading. You get to have a behind the scenes perspective of the trial and step into Jose’s thought process while he defended Aaron. I followed both the Odin Lloyd case and this case very closely and still learned so much from reading this book. You are able to get to know Aaron from a different perspective and on a more personal level other than what the media portrayed. Jose Baez is an amazing attorney and would have loved to see him try Aaron’s appeal, as I feel it would have been a success. I will definitely be buying Jose’s other book because this one was just so intriguing. May Aaron Rest In Peace.

Best representation of AAron thus far. From the moment I picked it up, to the moment I put it down. This was hands down the best version of AARON’s life that we’ve heard. Exquisite work, from opening statements to closing statements. As the reader we were really able to comprehend he was more than just a client to Jose, but a friend. The way you fought for him and his family says far more of whom you are, then just a lawyer. I got the chills a lot towards the end of the book once Aaron has already passed, such a shame. I truly believe would you two have appealed the first case, it would’ve been over turner and he could’ve had a second chance at life. However amazing work, from the interns, to your co council to his wife and of course You. I’m sure you guys couldn’t have done it without each other.

Candid tragedy. Jose Baez knew the late Aaron Hernandez better than anyone. As his last attorney he knew the juicy gossip. However, what makes this a journey worthwhile; are the facts and possibilities. Alexander Bradley could not account for two days in Florida. The size of the 4Runner; plus Bradley and Hernandez, makes a trajectory from the passenger seat unlikely. Two men in the BMW left the scene, with their friends dying. There is no footage of the downstairs bar at Cure Lounge. These are the facts that gives the reader a candid perspective of the infamous lifestyle of Aaron Hernandez. Did he murder out of paranoia? Did he not murder anyone at all? These are the jewels of this tragic biography; and an insight into one of the most skilled minds (of our contemporary legal practitioners). Everyone respects a law degree; and Baez might be the best of them all. ... A candid tragedy ...

5/5 Stars!!!. Phenomenal book that would have you reading at the edge of your seat. Extremely detailed and well written. Goes into many details that the Netflix documentary does not go into. Great read!

Couldn’t stop reading!. I anxiously waited months for this book to be released and I read it on the first day! It was so captivating and I found ‘gold nuggets’ in every other sentence. So much about the A.H. story made sense after reading. Thanks for writing this and helping to shed light on Aaron’s truth.

Absolutely Excellent!!. I have never read a book faster in my life! Superbly written, Josè Baez sounds to be an amazing defense attorney! I could not put it down! Must read if you have any interest in the Aaron Hernandez case/cases. Shows how corrupt the state and police depts can be!! Fantastic read!

Great read!. After seeing the Netflix documentary, I was curious about the details of the Boston case and why Aaron was acquitted. This book provided the explanation I was looking for and more! It was an easy read, I finished it in a day and a half. If you want to know the facts behind the double murder trial, I definitely suggest this book! It also goes a little into the negative affects of CTE on football players.

Unnecessary Roughness by Jose Baez. I loved this book. I was able to see Aaron Hernandez as a true human being. The media truly villainized this man. Jose Baez is an amazing lawyer who stands with his client and always presents the facts.

Simply Fantastic. This book was the first iBook I purchased, and I couldn’t be more impressed. The writing is incredible, believable, and grippingly emotional. I will buy any, and every book written by JB. Well done.

MUST READ! Give it a chance, download the sample, then make your decision to continue or not!. I initially heard about this book being released while reading a ‘Daily Mail’ article about its publishing. I remember hearing about Aaron Hernandez and something along the lines of “he killed a man who was connected somehow by family, then he was found to have killed two others at a later time” that’s it! I never really went to find out more information on this... it was just “Another Celebrity Scandal” I decided to check out the book, downloaded the sample, and almost immediately recognized the lawyers name. But, I couldn’t place it. So I googled the name and instantly realized who he had represented and all the extremely unsettling rumors that surround that particular case. I seriously considered not reading anymore, because could I really trust what he is saying in this book to be true, if it’s also a possibility that the rumors of him could also be true?! But I couldn’t just stop. I couldn’t put this book down! This book is an incredible read regardless of background, race, gender, sexual orientation or identity, and regardless of if you are a sports fanatic or couldn’t care less! You see, I’m a 26 year old, female, born and raised in the Deep South (which by default, lives and breaths football). I’m also a complete John Grisham fan, a medical professional, and the daughter of a retired football coach. This book hit ALL of my interest, some of which are especially relevant.

Amazing. After watching the documentaries, i felt like i had to know more as i was so invested in this. I read this book in less than a week and i am amazed by the way the book was written and am so relieved there was a side being shown of Aaron that people couldn’t hate. A side that should be shown; because his name is being beaten while he’s not even here anymore. FACTS that were not in any of the documentaries being shown in the public. If only everyone could read this instead of being blinded by media. If i could give ten stars, i would.
