The Devilish Duke. What a riveting romance and mystery! I laughed at the banter between the leads and enjoyed the twists and turns of the mystery and was still surprised at the end. I will definitely put this author on my watch list!

A worthy read. What a wonderful, twisting and entertaining read! Wasn’t sure about buying it bc if some of the reviews, but this book was so worth it. What an author. The banter between the H and h, the one liners, the supporting characters-it all came together wonderfully. I enjoyed the mystery, the romance, the suspense and the hilarious banter. Can’t wait to read more by this author. Give her a chance.

The Devilish Duke. Annoying characters, unrealistic contrived story, poorly written.

Rules. Such an interesting book! Duke Devlin Huntington wants something from Queen Victoria. Victoria has decided it is time for him to get married and to get what he want he must get married. Devlin has picked out his bride but the action begins there. Let’s add in action with a mystery and plot twists and the story begins. We must not forget the humor or the romance but the story has lots to keep your interest! I do recommend as I throughly enjoyed reading it!

Good plot, good rake, lousy writing.. It could have been a terrific book,. It is not..silly stilted, verbose , a overwritten female character, ruined. Sophie could have en drawn more creatively, , moderately. Not worth reading

Happy to find a good author.. It’s not easy to find books you are happy you read. So when I find a good author I’m ecstatic. This is my first book by her. I hope the others are as good.

The devilish duke. I found the book delightful and engaging. A good story with humour and intrigue. Well done.

Amazing - The Devilish Duke. OMG I just read this book via netgalley and I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between Devlin and Sophie was electric, I had to keep reading to see their connection building. Sophie is a feisty and spirited character who does what she needs to do. And well, Devlin, wow.. he is the type of man that you would imagine sweeping you off your feet with brutish charm and charisma that is just a little bit wicked. The story kept moving and kept me wanting to find out what was happening next. I’m still thinking about the characters days after I have read it. This is a great read!

Good, but Cringe Bad. It was a good story, intriguing even. But the pacing and the lack of a truly defined timeline, along with a hollow almost barebones backstories that made otherwise somewhat well-rounded characters seem flat, let it down tremendously. The pacing was all off. One minute it was all fast and things were happening, the next stuff was just sluggishly moving, and these moments were usually the unimportant ones. In fact 85-95% of his book was unimportant and a waste of time because it had barely any bearing on the over arching plot and the “mystery” (if you could eve call it a “mystery”). There were also a couple - if not several - Chekhov’s Guns. Parts of the story that went no where like Sophie’s mention that she is good at Fencing and that her brother ensured she could defend herself. None of this came back, not even at the end where it should have been. The ending was also if the generic happy variety and there was no real closure on the “mystery” that seemed like it was supposed to be the main stay plot of this entire overly wordy mess of a book. Sure the bad guy died, but there was no true conclusion or mention if he had committed any other crimes, as people like him don’t just commit a few crimes and then stop. He was clearly mistreated more than what was stated or his psychopathy was severely mistreated by the author. Because he came off as Serial Killer, but also a bad knock off of ‘The Count of Monte Cristo’.
