If it weren't true.... There would be no way I would believe it. The book does a good job of outlining the antics, tactics, and lifestyle of the criminals behind one of the biggest cons to date.

Gripping. The level of corruption is unimaginable both in terms of the dollars, nationalities and corporate players. I couldn’t follow all the machinations of the schemes, but the end result is incredible. One thing for sure: I’ll never look at celebrity sightings in the same way again. All bought and paid for.

Too much, too many names. All the names, places, and positions. Way too many, hard to keep track of who is who and I’m only four chapters in.

Brilliant story, sadly true. Superbly written, huge background work, could not put it down! Must read 2018

Billion Dollar Whale is an exceptional book by Tom Wright and Bradley Hope that chronicles the larger than life exploits of the still at large Jho Low who fooled the entire world into believing that he was a billionaire. When the gig was up it would bring down politicians, celebrities and bankers who associated with him. Low was the mastermind behind the looting of billions from Malaysia’s 1MDB state-owned fund. Billion Dollar Whale is a blow by blow account of how he did it. If you’ve ever had a dream of being a billionaire then you get to live vicariously through Low. But, alas, in the end it was just a dream.

A compelling read. Recommended read by Bill Gates who knows a thing or two about wealth. Excellent book, couldn't put it down. Scary the way a large percentage of the 1% acquire and squander 99%'s hard earned money.
