The Map of Us. I got through about 200 pages — painfully. Trying to tie all the characters and pieces together. Hoping something would click. Never did. Finally had to stop reading it.....

Original , excellent, delicately moving. I downloaded this book at 7pm. I stayed up until 1am to finish it. It’s beautifully written without being pretentious. The story is moving but told with subtlety. It’s definitely a book I’ll remember.
Jules is not a man.. I had forgotten the reason I prefer male authors, now I know. This the extremely annoying woman who sits next to you on the bus, droning on about all and nothing, never stopping long enough for you to respond, every word spoken for effect, all delivered in an arty-farty way. She will probably have her sun glasses tucked in the top of her hair and tell you that she can’t wait to chill out with a glass of Chardonnay. I erased this from my iPad half way through, the effect of getting off the bus several stops early, preferring to walk the rest of the way in blessed silence. Thank goodness the fare was only 99p.
