The Lost Girls of Paris by Pam Jenoff Book Summary

Three women. One daring mission.

1946. One morning while passing through Grand Central Terminal, Grace Healey finds an abandoned suitcase tucked beneath a bench. Inside is a dozen photographs—each of a different woman. Grace soon learns that the suitcase belonged to Eleanor Trigg, leader of a network of female secret agents deployed out of London during the war. Twelve of these women were sent to Occupied Europe as couriers and radio operators to aid the resistance, but they never returned home.

Setting out to learn the truth behind the women in the photographs, Grace finds herself drawn to a young mother turned agent named Marie, whose mission overseas reveals a remarkable story of friendship, valor and betrayal. In this riveting story inspired by true events, Pam Jenoff weaves a tale of courage, sisterhood and the great strength of women to survive in the hardest of circumstances.

Don’t miss Pam Jenoff’s new novel, Code Name Sapphire, a riveting tale of bravery and resistance during World War II.

Don’t bother. Full of plot holes, both main characters infuriating stupid.

The Lost Girls of Paris.. Captivating story of everyday women, asked to leave their jobs, their families, their homes, vanish without a trace, and risk their lives to help their country. Enduring harsh mental and physical training in such a brief time period, inadequate at best, thrust into enemy-held territory, these women risked it all. Truly forgotten and diminished in a male-dominated war, their contributions still go unnoticed and uncelebrated today. The writer lived in and captured the hearts and minds of each character so eloquently, so tenderly, as if she herself lived each life uniquely. Such a profound story! I could not put it down!

Ugh. Amateurish. Reads like a lame Harlequin novel. Blech!

The lost girls of paris. I liked this book a lot, But, it tended to be repetitive and there were three characters killed in 3 unrelated car accidents, which led me to think they would be related later on. But they never were. It seemed like a lot of car crashes that weren’t plot-related.

Well worth the read.. This book was well written and quite intriguing. I would recommend this book. The characters were well developed and the story was interesting from start to finish.

Interesting. I love this book! I am new to this author, but I will keep reading her books! Every day ordinary women who sacrificed to help others.

Mystery & Thrills. The Lost Girls of Paris by Pam Jenoff is Historical Thriller Fiction set in World War II and just after. I loved this book as I have every book Pam Jenoff has written. The characters and settings are well written, the reader is immediately drawn into their world and lives. This book has non stop action, thrills, tragedy, mystery and love. The girls work in conjunction with various groups and citizens to thwart the Nazi forces.. It is a story of their strength, bravery, hardships and sorrows that they endured. I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own. My thanks to the author, the publisher and netgalley for the privilege to read, review and enjoy this book

One of my favorites!. I couldn’t put it down towards the end . Lots of twists & full of mystery and suspense.

Good characters but plot details don’t add up. Author does a great job developing the 3 main female characters so we care enough to keep reading. But plot details matter too, especially when writing about events as well known as those of WW2. Midway a character reports he lost a wife and 2 children but late in the story is described as being college aged “about twenty or so.” Most annoying is the way the 2 lead female characters act in ways that defy reason, especially in the second half of the book.

Moronic. This book is not for a person with even the slightest minutiae of intelligence. The ending contradicts the resolve of the characters who struggle throughout the story. Also, there are several details that are ignored in order to quickly end (thank god) the terrible pain the author was obviously in while she wrote this travesty.

Wonderful. Great book

Great book. This is a wonderful book with such memorable characters. An element of intrigue, lots of unpredictable encounters with unanticipated outcomes. Really enjoyed reading it and trying to figure out how all the facets of the story would come together.

The lost girls of Paris. This was an interesting subject, but Jenoff’s plot points were implausible and handled in a sophomoric style.

I will read no more of this author’s books.. The books are beautifully written…however life is too short to read that much sadness, violence, and horrors beyond words. It’s mostly fiction, yet don’t expect a happy ending.

Captivating. This book draws you in. I couldn’t stop reading. I have recommended it to several people. Tops my list!

Outstanding Read. A great historical novel of true female heroes of WW II. Let us not forget the atrocities committed by the Third Reich in these challenging times to our own rights and freedoms.

Outstanding insight into history. Towards the end, couldn’t put it down. Jenoff has whet my appetite for more historical fiction. Nice job!

Dissapointin. This book is ridiculous
