Hip Hop Must Read. Great book all hip hop fans must read, I always knew about Jay Prince but to hear a bit of his life story makes me truly respect his character

The Art and Science of Respect by James Prince. This book changed my life. I knew it would. I ordered it a month before it came out because I knew there were lessons that I needed to be taught. I’m always looking to learn and to be better. This book taught be that I can make something from nothing only through the strength of God. This book affirmed what I had been taught all be life, that God is the Author and Finisher of my story. He has to be or there is no story. No matter how intimidating the distance is between where I am and where I want to be, with God anything is possible. This book taught me to expand my goals and dreams and to galvanize them by being selfless. Be focused. I have to remember that I am and different, powerful and a winner at all times. Regardless of what the situation is. Thanks Prince, for teaching me the game, it was necessary.

Remarkable. Ages 18-35 if you are in the streets or have the mentality of a street orientated person read this book it will teach you a lot about ethics and why something’s are ere-levant and you should change or stay away from, it’s not just about making a way ( fast money ) but you have to figure out how to build in a honest way. And make the money last

Excellent book for any type of entrepreneur. I’ve listened to this book several times and refer back to it often. Extremely inspirational.

10 Thumbs up. This memoir is one of the best that I have read in a while. It shows the endurance of a man that is wise beyond measure. His story is truly inspiring and I urge everyone to experience this book! It is not only for people who are interested in hip hop; this book speaks volumes about a man who was ambitious and resilient. A must read!

The Art and Science of Respect. Lil J takes you on a magnificent journey through his life’s ups and downs. This book will make you laugh, cheer, become angry, cry, but more importantly think. I have been a huge fan of Rap-A-Lot for as long as I can remember. If I had to sum it up in one word it would simply be: MASTERPIECE! Bring on the movie! Antwian Fykes from Indianapolis.

Riveting autobiography. I grew up in the 80’s. I’m well aware of the legacy of J. Prince, but it was refreshing to finally hear his story in his own words. Anyone familiar with the culture knows that he is a man of few words publicly. Awesome insight from a true legend and revolutionary!

Wise words from a wise man. Great read, being a big fan of the houston music scene growing up as a child (while being a fellow Houstonian). I had to read and try to learn from J Prince. This book really gave me some insight on the business side of the music industry. I hope to start my own indie label one day as well Definitely recommend to any musicians, djs, artists or entrepreneurs out there!! Houston baby \m/
