5 stars. This book SUCKED. ME. IN! I didn't want to finish it in one day, because I wanted to take the journey Araneae was on. Sterling, this man is full of power and mystery and we haven't begun to get a glimpse of him beneath his surface. I also love how Aleatha portrayed the scenery as if I'm really there. I trust she is going to put us through one hell of ride with a lot of secrets, twists and turns that I'm not even sure I can conjure up, but I have already started to put some theories together. I can't wait to see how it plays out. This book does end on a cliffy and each book in the trilogy must be read in order.

Terrific start. Secrets,the first book in the Web of Sin series is a hauntingly beautiful start to what I’m sure will be a twisted and intriguing story. Sterling Sparrow is a handsome mysterious stranger who comes into Kennedy’s life and flips it upside down. Kennedy is drawn to him and the answers he holds but at what price? A captivating romantic mystery with wicked hot chemistry that will have you devouring the pages plus anxiously waiting for more. April R H

Less than zero. What is up with all these dang crime lord so called romances. Just ick and gross. I keep asking for less of these suggestions and still getting this dreck!

I'm addicted to her writing. This book took me directly to Canada with the characters. I felt like expectations were put on me as I read this placing myself inside the characters mind. Girlllllll you got me hooked. 5 star I would give you a 10 star but the rating doesn't go that high. You've done it again. You're my RODB of the book world.

Cliffhanger ending. Why put out one complete story when you can break it up and sell three? I don’t know where authors got the idea that leaving readers on a cliffhanger was good for business, but here’s one reader who doesn’t appreciate the stunt at all. I don’t care how good your writing is (this was okay, not great) this author is on by DO NOT BUY list. I’m not spending $15 on ONE ebook which is what this entire trilogy should be. So buyer beware. If a series is released in quick succession, like one month apart, it’s probably because it’s one book broken up into three and it’s designed to rip you off.

Aleatha NEVER disappoints!!. I am a huge fan of Aleatha! After reading the Consequences and Infidelity series I’ve been waiting for the next series to come out! This book didn’t disappoint at all. I’m in love with the characters, Sterling and Arraneae (Kennedy). This first book is definitely a tease. lol I thought we would get much further in the storyline than what we did. I can’t wait for “Lies” and “Promises”. The book definitely has a cliff hanger, and leaves you dying to find out what happens next!

Secrets. The first couple of chapters were pretty boring. When the main characters were identified, the book picked up. I love this author!

The dark side is back!!!. She’s baaack!! I am so excited that this book is finally here, I’ve been waiting on some darker side of Aleatha and this book delivers. After reading the sneak peak in the last book I knew this storyline was going to be great and I was not disappointed. I enjoyed both characters, Araneae is a strong, sassy, independent hard working woman who has a past that she doesn’t even know the full extent of and Sterling is alpha in the very best way, he’s hot, bossy, protective and he has all the answers about her past. These two together are fire. I am so looking forward to book two, especially with the epic way this one ends.

Secrets. Enjoyed reading this, great story. But… What’s going on with authors? It seems most of the books I’ve read lately are a continuation… can’t anyone write a complete book? This game of hopscotch from book to book is a big turnoff for me.

Great book. Wow it was so good. Couldn’t put it down. Read all night. Heroine was feisty and down to earth in her dealings with her lover (capturer). Can’t wait to read the other books.

Trigger warninf. I didn’t realize that “dark romance,” meant kidnapping and rape by a misogynistic anti-hero. It’s horrific and portrays women as objects, nurturing the rape culture. I do not recommend this book.

Aletha you have done it again!. Oh, I so wasn’t going to finish this in one day. But, I did. It is dark,intriguing,sexy and romantic. I love the way you weave a story, no one does it better. I am going to be thinking about the next book for a month— ugh.

Amazing dark romance..... Dear Lord, Aleatha Romig did it again. If you have ever read any of her Consequences or Betrayal series, you are going to love this series. I have read both and I can already tell this is going to be a great series. Romig captures the alpha male perfectly and the mystery behind Araneae’s past kept me on my toes. This dark romance is enough to keep you wanting more. I can’t wait for the next book. I will be anxiously awaiting. Oh, and I love the name. Sterling Sparrow. It is the perfect name for this character. I don’t know how Aleatha does it, but she has done it again. Secrets is supposed to go live on October 30th. Make sure you pre-order. You won’t regret it!

Captivating!. If you haven’t read anything by Aleatha Romig you are simply missing out ! That being said ...Mr. Sterling will have your heart and passion and desire in his wonderful hands and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Something about this ALPHA just gets me going, I know we are talking about a book character but I don’t care he’s real to me 😂😂 it’s been a while since I’ve been really invested into a story such a s this and I’m so glad about it like I have something secretly to giggle about . Captivating and consuming to the eye end!

Aleatha Romig leaves you wanting more. You know how you start a book and you think, "This is pretty good!" And then you read a few more chapters and you think, "I can't put this down!" And then you read a few more chapters and you realize that you read the entire thing in one sitting? That was me with Secrets. Once I started, I could not stop. Nor did I want to do so. I love everything that Aleatha Romig has going on with her plot. I love the mystery surrounding Renee / Aranea, I love the mystery surrounding Sterling, I love the mystery surrounding the two of them together, I love the spice and sparks of the two of them together, and I love the sexy times. Aranea is feisty and fiery, the perfect match for Sterling. He's brooding and mysterious and oozes sex from every pore of his body. Even better, I like them. They're the sort that you enjoy getting to know over the course of a series.  Aleatha Romig ends this book with quite the cliffhanger, making you anxious to find out what happens next. She so fully invests you in Sterling and Aranea that you gasp when you realize the book is over because you want more. More information and absolutely more sexy times because dear readers, those sexy times deliver the quiver to your lady loins. I need to know what happens next. I NEED TO KNOW. I'm worried and I'm frantic, and I also need to get back to Sterling rocking the headboard with Aranea.  Join me in my obsession, will you?

Have you been Aleatha’d?. If it was possible to give this book more than 5 stars, I definitely would! Aleatha Romig is one of those authors who you just never, ever know what to expect! The best way to go into one of Aleatha’s books is blind. Do not read blurbs or teasers - trust me! It makes the experience so much more! I am obsessed with Sterling Sparrow, like legit obsessed! His alpha male self is just... no words! I am just at a loss for words to convey the amazingness that is Secrets! Definitely one of my favorite reads this year. I can’t wait for Lies and Promises! Literally! “Secrets” the first book of the Web Of Sin Trilogy blew me away, OMG 😮 It was amazing from the very first page! The storyline was superb with so many twists and turns. This magnificent book has everything a reader wants, Suspense, major intrigue, betrayal, oh so many secrets, the love of family, hate, fear, deadly mistakes and oh so much more! With Characters that had many persona’s that you loved from the outset. Adopted Renee was sent away by her fearful adoptive mother to a boarding school in Colorado to keep her safe and told “never return” to Chicago! Years later she now has a joint business with Louisa her BF “Sinful Threads” based in Colorado. If she returns to Chicago, and she has to, problems at their Chicago warehouse, will this be her downfall? Will she ever get her many questions answered, with her only faded photo of her adoptive parents? Would it be better if she stays ignorant as to who she really is and her family secrets? Who is Sterling Sparrow? Why is she being watched? Who is she being protected from? How can Kennedy protect her only friend Louisa and her family in this veil of secrets? A promising start. The ratings made me want to read this book. I was disappointed by the end of book one. Not spending $$ for the other books.
