Rising Star. Very enjoyable book. Also a reminder of jerks who need to get a life and leave others alone even if they are well known.

Good book. Great romance that has a little bit of many things. It has a heroine who stays true to herself despite everything, a "behind the scenes" look at Hollywood, and an adorable dog. All blended wonderfully together to make a very fun read.

A Romance That Grows So Naturally and Believably. There is much to like in this novel by Susannah Nix. Both the hero and heroine are extremely likable characters that I wanted to root for from the very beginning. I loved the way that Nix handled Alice’s experience with sexual harassment as well as the kind of support she modeled for victims through Alice’s thesis advisor. She masterfully demonstrated the lack of good choices for women who are being harassed or assaulted, spelling out the pros and cons of reporting or not reporting the perpetrator, and how often the consequences for the victim are potentially damaging regardless of the route she chooses to follow. I was equally impressed with the sensitivity of the hero to Alice’s experience. Her experiences were driving all of Alice’s decisions and reactions and Griffin was very respectful of that. The romance that develops between these characters grows so naturally and believably unlike many romance novels, especially with celebrities, where there is an instant chemistry and intensity between the lovers that requires some willing suspension of disbelief. I was quickly drawn into this story and remained engaged from the first page to the last. As a result, I whole-heartedly recommend this book. I am voluntarily submitting this review after reading an advanced complementary copy of this book.

👎👎👎. Not worth it the guy was a tool. The girl didn’t even finish her dissertation or whatever she went to school for. She let a perverted teacher stop her, she didn’t even have a job!! Got bored real fast. The author spent so much time trying to build the foundation for the characters but really rushed the ending.

4 stars. The author treats the subject of harassment with care and sensitivity, and also manages to empower the character dealing with its effects. The tone of this lovely story is witty, kind, and humorous.

Love it!!. I love this book and the absolutely sweet heroine. I couldn't put the book down and stayed up all night until I finished it. Buy it now and enjoy this gem of a read, you will not be disappointed. I can't wait to read Fallen Star.

Boring. I agree with Straighttalker 198 This book is so boring it should not be given away for free. So far this year I have read over 100 books and this is the only one that’s hard for me to finish. The people who left good reviews must be friends with the author , publisher or both I don’t know I do know that this book was not romantic or humorous. One star is to many but it want let me send my review without it.
