The Chef is hard to swallow. Not up to James Patterson standards. Dialogue and characters are mostly laughable. Read during a transcontinental flight and was easy to speed read since much of the narrative was pure drivel. Sorry I wasted my time.

The Chef. Lame, convoluted plot. Shallow characters. Surprised Patterson put his name on this book. Rated it 1/5 stars so there would be no confusion that I submitted a rating.

THE CHEF. I HAVE ENJOYED PREVIOUS BOOKS BY JAMES PATTERSON, BUT THIS BOOK WAS SIMPLY HARD TO FINISH. THE PLOT LINE WAS SIMPLISTIC , WITH MOST OF THE FOCUS ON ONE UNREALISTIC HERO CHEF. OUR AUTHOR MADE A SUPERMAN OUT OF THE CHEF WHICH DOES NOT EVEN RESEMBLE REAL LIFE. THERE WERE PAGES OF DESCRIPTIONS OF CAJUN AND CREOLE FOOD, WHICH I FOUND TO BE NOTHING BUT PAGE FILLERS. PATTERSON OBVIOUSLY GOT PAID BY THE PAGE FOR THIS ONE...

Couldn’t Put It Down. Great mix of detective thriller and fun for foodies like me! Now I’m hungry.

Imposter. Half way through and I’ve closed it for the last time. Lame characters, unbelievable plot, action, story. Waste of eye and brain.

Killer Chef. Just ok. Some story lines are inconsistent with others.

Very lame.. Very lame and very boring.

Not a great read.... Not up to the standard of his previous books. There was lots of jumping around and it made me not like the main character. Not a great effort.

The Chef. Nicely paced, well done story with a large dose of Louisiana cooked and culture.

Good. Took a long time to develop as I was taken on a tour of nworlins to set up the sequel Ex cop chef smarter than the police/feds Ok but tied together nicely at the end

Killer Chef. It is entertaining I like it. It could be a little more intense. But readable.

Not worth 5 minutes. bad writing and unimaginative plot

The chef. What a complete waste of money. This was a ridiculous cliche of a book. My eyes were stuck in a perpetual upward roll. So very disappointing.
