Wow!. What a story. Reminds me a lot of Red Storm Rising with all the updated modern weapons. Very long and intricate battle descriptions on land sea and air. Thoroughly enjoyable! A marathon read thar was hard to put down.

Lots of action fighting.. Enjoyed the book, could been cut down some. Always like a good war story.

Red Metal Mark Greaney. Russia launches a war in Europe and Africa. A host of extremely brave and courageous men and women from all sides emerge. Heartbreak, death, victory. A stupendous read!!! My highest recommendation!!

Wow. Wow..speechless when asked how to review this book. I’ve read everything mark has written and he’s probably my favorite author and red metal blew his other stuff out of the water. Amazing, easily in the top 5 best books I’ve ever read and I read 177 books last year. Bravo gentlemen

Red Metal. I believe this book to be one of the best action adventure books Ever written. What a well written story line. One needs to take the time to fully grasp this book. Many sub plots and characters. The realism in the action scenes are amazing. I assume there will be a second book and also will await the next gray man ( hopefully February 2020).

A10 no burner.. Pretty good, very detailed , but a few loose ends left hanging. Oh, and the warthog has no afterburner :-)

Tdglobal. Seriously, if I wanted a textbook I would have gone to school. A political Science degree does not make you a writer. Reading this book was more painful than a root canal. Verbose, disjointed, ego driven, insulting.....basically a crock!

Great read. Starts a little slow but hang on, it's a page turner!

Red Metal. Never a dull moment! The plot line full full of surprises, but each one was believable and thrilling. Characters were built in great detail so that each became a good friend, or a hated, but admired, foe. A great story line, well told. It made me proud if our US and NATO men and women! MJR

How close we are to WWIII. Action packed and moving tale of a plausible military conflict started by Russia that engulfs many military powers, evaluates the state of their armies and their weapons.

Great read. Hold on to your Tank seat.. A lot going on in 6 days.

Red Metal Shines. Best book ever writtem by Mark Greaney. I read them all but this one casued me many sleepless nights. One thing i dont get is what not use B52’s to sink the Iranian fleet and other times?

Highly recommendable. A page turner; the characters are compelling & strong ! The story telling amazing, I felt bloodied and dirty as i was on that hill in Kenya fighting for my life!

Not oike the Grey Man. Not bad but not as good as the Grey Man series. Very light on character development. At the end I felt that I knew the Russian generals better than I knew anyone else.

Excellent story, great reading.. Truly a gripping plot line and multilayered story. Bit of a shorthand inclusion of Asia, but it will certainly lead into a future book. Interesting characters and enough knowledge and jargon without being overstuffed. Tactical elements were extraordinary. I’ve read a hundred books of this genre, and this is certainly at the top area of the stack.

Great Read. Fast paced with many angles to the action. You get to know many of the players on a personal level both the good guys and bad.

Not up to Greaney standards. Pretty poor offering from MG though I suspect he just lent his name to the book. For too much use of nomenclature for the military equipment — who cares the name of the engine in a Russian armored vehicle and how much horsepower? Continual use of nomenclature totally unnecessary and distracting. Author discusses use of F-35 and F/A-18 operating from the amphibious ship USS Boxer — inaccurate. While F-35 can operate from Boxer, the F/A-18 cannot. It needs a catapult and arresting gear to fly on/off Boxer. Boxer is not configured with either catapults or arresting gear.

Great read.. There’s a lot of things going on and Greary does a great job of keeping it all tied together.

Positively the very best read by this author!. Highly recommended and it held my attention completely. A real modern version of warfare, I would bet the next will be just as good! I wish the next book came out tomorrow!

Red Metal. Hard to put down!

Great book.. If you like the nitty gritty details like a Tom Clancy book, you’ll love this. Can’t wait for the sequel. China and Taiwan.

Exceptional !!. Exceptional….. many reviews claim , “You can’t put it down !!”…. This book delivers on that claim , and then some !! Epic and relentless in its drama and intensity !!

Big change to even greater genre. I’m a huge fan of Greanary’s Gray Man series. I’ve been binge reader of all that series - and loving it. Then I took on Red Metal as the one I had not yet read. WOW!! The partnership with the Lt Colonel has produced a totally enthralling combat novel that absolutely cannot be put down. It harkened me back to early Clancy, Bond and other than were of a type I hated to see reach a close on each book. This is a return to that class and I can’t for a next. I’ll warn any reader; don’t pick this one up unless you groove on thrill rides and roller coasters. It’s an experience!!

Action packed. Lots of interesting action and character build up. Frightening how easily the scenario could really happen.

Great Book. One of the best military thrillers I’ve read in a long time. Seat of your pants from first page to last.
