Wonderful and inspiring. I was absolutely glued to this book. I have subscribed to Brittany for years on YouTube and when she made all of her videos with that monster private I was curious. I was confused as to why she never shared any of this with us, but now I see why. This is just so insane and I never saw it coming. I’m so glad she took time for herself because she needed this time to heal. I am so glad she is happy and has Rex and her mom. She is such a wonderful person. Bless your heart Brittany.

Soulmate. I am blown away. This story reminded me a lot of my previous relationship. My ex did meth and lied to me. I was oblivious and believed he was my soulmate. He abused me mentally, physically, and emotionally. I recall one memory where he almost ran me over with a car. I have been single for 5 years and to this day if I see a silhouette of him I am instantly frightened. Thank you for sharing your story. We got this.

She Did A Really Good Job With This!. I've seen some of Brittani's videos here and there, but didn't really follow her or know too much about her. Not sure why I didn't, she seems lovely. However, I did see a pregnancy video she posted and then a video talking a bit about what she was going through afterwards (although very vague...for legal reasons, obviously). I was intrigued. This book explains it all, was well written, and easy to read. I finished it in 3 days.

Waste of time. I read this when it first came out as a young teenager & I used to empathize with her. After rereading years later I realize this is a GROWN woman who put herself in every single predicament she found herself in, and deserved everything she got. She does not take accountability for what she chose to agree to. Instead she plays the victim role of an innocent ditzy white girl that we are all supposed to feel bad for. What grown adult listens to a man tell her not to wear condoms & then is surprised when she turns out pregnant? & what did she expect to happen when she kept his child? If you would like your IQ to drop I would 100% recommend this book.

A beautifully told story. This story was very captivating and kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the whole ride. While reading this book I had laughed, cried, and felt for the author. It had actually also helped me open up about my sexual assault story. It gave me confidence knowing that if Brittani could go through this nightmare of years together and make it out ok and on top then I’ll be fine too. I really recommend this book and the story behind it is beautiful. I read the whole book within the first four days of buying it. 10/10 book. 5 stars on yelp, would recommend.

Amazing.. Although my heart breaks that Brittani had to go through these things... this book is absolutely amazing! I finished it in just a few days.. (could have been one day but ya know, mom life.) I’ve been in a verbally and mentally abusive relationship and this book somehow made me feel like I am not alone. Brittani is my biggest inspiration. I will be reading this all over again!

So interesting!!. I was watching Shane’s most recent YouTube video and started hearing Brittani’s summary of what all happened and I instantly knew I had to go buy this book so I could figure out the rest of the details. I literally have never read a book so fast, I bought it and read it all in 5 and a half hours... 12/10 would recommend, I honestly just couldn’t bring myself to put it down!!

READ THIS. if you are even considering reading this please do!! Brittani’s story is an emotional rollercoaster and an extreme warning for those suffering with domestic violence. one of the best sad stories i’ve ever read.

Quick read. I read this book in one sitting. It’s an easy and fast read. I skimmed over a lot of paragraphs. It could use more editing. This read like it was still in draft stage. I think her humor works on YouTube but it translates differently on paper. I commend the author for her vulnerability and sharing her experience. Those types of relationships are horrendous and hard to leave. She’s lucky she got out.

The best book I’ve ever read. I don’t normally read books like this. But I’ve been following her on YouTube for a long time. I am going to be honest I unsubscribed because I did not like the guy she got into a relationship with. Suddenly a video popped up on my recommended. It was her introducing her book. And I realized that was something really up so i subscribed again. I watched all the videos I had missed. Since her announcing her pregnancy and engagement. And oh my god.... so I had to get this book and read about what happened. I’m so happy I did. This book was raw, beautiful and it drew me in. Honestly I couldn’t put it down. Took me 2 days to read it. I am going to read it again.

Good read but lacks coherent details. The book is a good read. It was definitely eye opening and interesting to gain a perspective on the protagonist’s experiences. However, the book did lack a lot of editing. I found some of the sentences were run on and lacked proper details—which kind of made it difficult to follow along. Overall, it was tragic to find out all this happened to a YouTuber I watched.

Moving and Utterly Inspiring. Taylor’s book was a gut-wrenching and beautiful work of art from beginning to end. I am sending it to everyone on my contact list IMMEDIATELY. 10/10, I am already planning to read it again.

Never felt more connected to someone. I have been wanting to read this book for months and I’m so bummed it’s over. I absolutely loved it. It made me feel like I’m not alone. And that other people chose to make the same decision I did when I was in my abusive relationship. And there’s nothing wrong with that. I hope this book helps other people either get out of their abusive relationships or feel connected and not alone with their past ones. It’s always so comforting to me to know that I’m not alone in how I feel or felt and that there are other people out there too struggling with the same thing.

Second Chances…. After rereading this book, I found I was terribly harsh on Brittani. She was extremely clueless, but didn’t deserve any of what she went through. I’m glad her and Rex are safe and happy… I just hope one day she finds REAL LOVE! As for Milos…. He is the absolute worst! The very first “Influencer Hijacker”

This book was incredible. I’m not much of a reader myself, but I heard about this book through two different podcasts. I couldn’t stop myself from buying it and then I read the entire book from 10pm-5am and am now going to work on no sleep. Hopefully I’ll be a little more cautious in the future

Perspective and relatability. Domestic violence is scary and traumatizing. And a huge problem today is people thinking domestic violence is an argument gone wrong with physical actions to harm the other person. This comes to show how manipulation and narcissism can alter someone’s brain to such a large extent to allow yourself to be put in dangerous situations. But it’s all just mind control that makes you seem unreasonable so this completely adjusts personalities. This stuff needs talked about more. Thank you Brittany for revealing very difficult memories to relive.

Wow!!. I wondered during the 1+ year buildup to this book release if it was truly worth the wait. Mainly wondered if it was a ploy to sell books and/or gain views on the authors Youtube channel. Boy, was I wrong! Brittani is strong to share her story and incredibly resilient. She's proven no matter how far a person can bring you down or destroy your life, there is light. Thank you for sharing your story.

Awful book, awful story, awful people. This book was awful. Every person in this book, except Bunny, deserved what happened to them. Don’t buy it. You’ll regret it. Seeing as this book has so many 5 star reviews depresses me as it is painfully obvious how lazy and dumb this world is becoming.

Must Read!. After watching Shane Dawson’s conspiracy video that included a snipit of Brittani’s story, I had to go and read her book. The book is reveting and brutally honest, and Britanni did a fantastic job telling her story of survival.

Amazing ending to an awful story. Can’t believe the horrible things Brittani had to go through. But it’s heart warming seeing how she is now with Rex ❤️

A book that will always be worth the read. Although having some knowledge of Britanni and her endeavors as a YouTube influencer, she shines an honest light on the truth of what happens behind the scenes. It is unfortunate that she and her family had to endure so much pain but her growth is admirable. This book is one of the best books I’ve read and it’s the blunt, honest, truth that gives it its rightful impact.

Too Rambl-y. It was okay for a light read. It got really off point and it seemed like she would get really rambl-y at certain parts. I often caught myself skipping a few pages and not really feeling like I missed much at all.

I applaud her bravery, and look forward to anything else that she may write. As this is so well written, and I have almost no questions at the end of it. She is wonderful beyond words.

Emotional. I used to watch BLT on YouTube years ago when her and Shane would pretend to be goth, or Lady Gaga. To be honest I hadn’t heard any of the rumors since I’ve been away from YouTube raising my own family. I came across Shane’s conspiracy video by chance and immediately bought this book. I felt such sorrow for her and angry with the man who took someone who appeared to be so lighthearted and happy and inflicted so much pain. I cried several times and somehow felt relief when I read her outcome even though I already knew what would happen from Shane’s video. I pray for nothing but happiness for her and Rex and that nobody else ever has to endure what this family suffered. Well written, fast moving, honest and emotional. I very much hope BLT writes another book in the future. Something happy. She deserves a good dose of happy.

I hope you never go through this again. Please don’t let this happen to you. Being a nice person etc isn’t enough to stay with someone in a relationship. You have to feel it 150%. Both of you. And be able to notice red flags right away. Don’t let love blind you. Let it guide you.

Brilliant writing. I love Brittani’s writing style, it is like you are talking to a close friend. This was so well executed! I read it in a mere 2 days, I just loved it! I know this was a true story of her life and experience with a crazy man, but I hope she writes more books. Highly recommend!

Courageous and Brave. I have been watching Brittani on YouTube for a good 5/6 years now, always commenting on her videos about 'Nyan Cat' how I loved BLT. I actually came back to watching her videos due to the I'm Engaged and Pregnant video and was instantly reconnected with Brittani. Watching those snippets of her relationship in comparison to reading the truth hurts so much because I hurt for Brittani. However, her fearlessness and courage to stand up for herself, her mother and her son shows me and everyone who will read this that Brittani is amazing and never deserved to have gone through what she did. I devoured this book in one day, so morbidly fascinated with how cruel this person was and so deeply upset for it also. It is written with raw intensity that makes you ache for what she went through. The detail in describing the wonderful experiences she had as well as the awful horrific ones made me cry. Brittani is talented, wonderful, and oh-so deserving of happiness. I'm glad she is on the road to recovering and I know, for sure, Rex has the best mother ever. Definitely will recommend.

Gripping. I found it a little difficult to read at first, as I’m not used to this style of book, I started out slow and steady, reading one or two pages at a time. Wild. This story is a crazy one. Brittani is one strong lady. A lot of people didn’t like how she wrote this, however I think it was good. I have followed Brittani since her first videos on YouTube featuring Milos and Lui, and my heart broke for her when she announced that something had happened to bring the relationship to an end. This ‘something’ I could have never imagined to be as horrific and heartbreaking as this story. Brittani you are incredible, so admirable and strong. Missed opportunity and bad writing. I bought this book as I know a little bit about Brittani and have watched her videos quite a few years ago. The book is really really badly written that gives all the heavy points no gravity, and you won’t realise you are reading climactic sections. It would have been cool if she cross referenced her videos from the time more, because I assume people would enjoy reading it like me and going back to the videos. The resolution isn’t punchy or strong, it’s just a bunch of assumptions and ‘he lied’ rather then any satisfying revels. I know it’s a memoir but could have been edited for better peaks and trophs.

Something was obviously wrong but I couldn’t have even guessed just how bad and complicated things were. Like something out of a movie! I still can’t wrap my head around it. But I guess that’s nothing compared to how you feel when you think about it. As angry and heartbroken as your story makes me I’m also in awe of your strength and bravery and courage.
