The perfect wife by Blake Pierce. I really enjoyed the books by Blake Pierce. This one help me surprised at several different turns. I plan to read more of the Jesse Hunt series.

Couldn’t Put the Book Down. I have just started back reading in my spare time and this is the first book I chose. I work from home 7am to 3:30pm and I read in every bit of spare time I had, paying little attention to my boyfriend, haha! But I absolutely loved the thrill of this book and will be continuing to read more from Blake Pierce!!

Good read. Dragged the story a bit but I enjoyed reading the book.

Makes you want to keep reading. There’s a lot of jaw dropping moments which makes the book a good read, but the author leaves you with a lot of questions regarding the interactions with Bolton.

Great introduction to the series. I couldn’t put this book down! Really enjoyed the balance of Jessie’s personal and work life throughout each chapter. I totally thought I had the ending figured out but boy, was I wrong. Easy read, highly recommend.

The suspension!. I finally got to pick up on doing some reading and stumbled to this book. At the time it was free (hopefully it still is). Ever since I purchased it I’ve been reading every chance I got. It’s such a thriller. Im on to reading book #2 the perfect block. Give it a shot you won’t be disappointed.

Perfect Suspense. Stayed up one night reading this for over 2 hours. As I progressed in the book, I had to physically cover my screen to read line by line to pace myself. Yes, it was THAT good!

Intense. Wow, this book is a rollercoaster of page turning fun. The only reason it didn’t get 5 stars was because of the frequent typos.

Good read but slow on suspense. I enjoyed the book. It was different than what I’m used to reading. I would’ve enjoyed more suspense. The end of the book, left me 😳 but that was the last 3 seconds of the book.

Loved it!. Great psychological thriller! A real page turner! Jessie and her husband Kyle move from LA to a small town where her husband’s employer has a satellite office. They become members of an exclusive club that Jessie has reservations about. At a party she passes out and wakes in a bed on a boat with a dead women lying next to her! She has bloody fingernails and the woman has scratches on her throat. Her husband convinced her that she killed the woman. They plot how to dispose of the body. There are many twists and turns and revelations. A must read!

Lameish. This book is Predictable, and infuriating. Jessie is made to be smart but so stupid at the same time. It got annoying. It’s like someone who can see pretending to be blind and at the same time goes to the eye doctor and has 20/20 vision. Almost comical 🤣 i couldn’t stop reading it because i hate to leave things halfway or started.

Thrilling. This book had me on the edge constantly I didn’t want to put it down. I can’t wait to read the next one!

Good Story. I agree great page turner but there are a few spelling errors and missing words that are quite noticeable in the sentence but all in all I liked the storyline, had trouble putting it down to be honest and will continue with the series.

Intriguing!. The story started off a bit slow, but then it became nail biting and interesting with the many secrets around the main character, Jessie. I was curious about her traumatic past, but that gets recounted at the end. A worthy read.

Nothing PERFECT about this!. Blake Pierce's books are atrocious and an insult to serious fiction readers worldwide. The stories are something that a grade school student could slam together in a very short amount of time. The number of typos, grammatical errors, and plain bad English is unforgivable but when an author starts mixing up the names of their characters there is seriously something wrong, and Blake does this in every book that I have read. Blake does zero research which can probably be forgiven as none is required for his/her stories which is why Blake's books are so blah. I only read Blake's books when advertised as free on Bookbub (thankfully I have not parted with any of my hard earned cash) just to see if he/she has grown as an author after such prolific self publishing...unfortunately I have been disappointed on each occasion. Blake Pierce should consider doing a few writers’ workshops. Blake needs to put more time and effort and research into writing stories that will grab the attention of people for their intricacy, attention to detail, plot twists, and intrigue rather than churning out the pulp that we have come to expect from him/her. It is also time for Blake to stop self publishing and employ some professionals...editors, proof readers, copy editors...people that will actually tell him/her the truth, that people are not interested in such predictable, clichéd, recipe book fiction. NEVER AGAIN!

Stepford Lamb. Author American. Female. Started on the self published route and has churned a gazillion titles, all of them series involving FFPs (feisty female protagonists): Riley Paige, Mackenzie White, Avery Black, Keri Locke, the list goes on. Jessie Hunt appeared in 2018 and there are already 15 in the series (I think), all with "Perfect" in the title. (The other series have related titles too). According to her website, Ms B is "an avid reader and lifelong fan of the mystery and thriller genres," and "loves to hear from you, so please feel free" blah, blah. In brief Jessie is 29, has a troubled past, and is nearing the end of training as a forensic psychologist. She wants to be, you guessed it, an FBI profiler. The fictional world can't get enough of them it seems. Our gal and her hunky investment adviser husband (another oxymoron, like the perfect wife) have just moved from DTLA (downtown Los Angeles for the uninitiated) to Orange County because his firm's opened a new branch there. The neighbourhood and its peeps have a distinctly Stepford Wives vibe, which our gal susses out immediately although hubby doesn't see it. Meanwhile, she's swapped from USC to UC Irvine and acquired a new supervisor, then gets herself into a Clarice-Hannibal thing with a psycho killer incarcerated in a secret lock up facility nobody talks about. What could possibly go wrong, right? Nothing unpredictable, that's for sure. Writing Eager high schooler with stories to tell and limited interest in editing. Bottom line I read it because it was free, okay? Don't judge me.

Quite good.. Would have got five stars as the story was quite good but there are too many spelling mistakes, missing words and grammatical errors. The proof reader (if there was one?) needs to be replaced.

Bad grammar. This book was interesting but has a lot of missing words from sentences, often the wrong word has been used in a sentence. Which makes the book frustrating to read and take seriously. I would recommend getting an editor to help legitimise your work. Also it’s a good idea to keep your character names spelling consistent from book to book.

PERFECT. Nothing else should be said if it is labeled PERFECT.

The perfect wife. Exciting from beginning to end! Definitely worth the read. My only complaint is, it would be nice if I could purchase an actual copy of the book from chapters.

Twists…. This book kept my interest & the characters are realistic, as is the story. Almost erotica - but no, simply adventurous thriller & unexpected twists. The ending - literally the last line of book gave me chills.

Oh my what a novel. I have to say this was an excellent novel. I am a huge mystery reader, and this book was a really great read. Jessie Hunt has a nice life, or so she thought. She has just moved to a new neighborhood, with her husband. Something just doesn’t sit right with a Jessie from the start. Jessie’s husband Kyle seems to have a different reason for moving. There are many twist to this story, and an unexpected ending.

Disturbing story. I really enjoy the serial killer part however the Kyle's story line to me was extremely disturbing and annoying.
