WOW!!!. Brad Thor is an excellent writer who is exceptional at keeping the reader involved. His attention to detail exceeds, or at a minimum, almost any author I’ve read. Plots are well thought out and make the next page one to which you’ll look forward.

Backlash? Revenge?. Ok, it wasn’t a bad book and the writing was decent, but this book was 98% about survival, not revenge. The little that was written about revenge, at the end of the book, was anticlimactic, bland, dull. It’s almost as if the author remembered that there was supposed to be some form of revenge in the book and rushed to add it in. After everything that Harvath had lost and endured, the method and payback were rudimentary. It was too simplistic. Too easy. There was no challenge. It left you wanting so much more.

Well Done. Big fan of Scot. terrible to see those murders but love rhe revenge. I hope he finds personal pleasure after being a hero for his country.

Backlash. I have read every Brad Thor book. Backlash is his best. I could not put it down. It was nonstop action! It took me a few hours to read. This one should be made into a movie! Congrats to Mr. Thor for such a great adventurous ride!! Can’t wait to pre-order your next book

Great book. Very exciting

Backlash. This book though very different from Mr. Thor usual books is just as good as any of the others. The storyline of survival is excellent, plenty of action and always enjoy reading about Eastern Europe. Finland is as wild as Mr. Thor describes. He does an excellent job of describing the hardship and beauty of the country. While hiking around Mont Blanc in 2010 I met a lady from Finland whose fathers job was that of the village hunter. He would get the meat for the village. Have read all his books and have thoroughly enjoyed everyone.

Insane action from start to finish. This was a crazy one. If you read, like I do, as if a movie is playing in your head, then you will experience one of the most intense action flicks ever written. Literally non-stop intensity from beginning to end.

Backlash. This was the best book I have read in a long time and hit home for me in many ways. For a retired Navy CPO who spent a lot of time with some of these units it was very factual! Well done!

Harvath Asian pivot. I always enjoy reading the latest Harvath adventure but it would be nice to see his adventure take place somewhere outside of Europe. Asia seems like an obvious location for espionage giving the rise of China.

Harvath at his Best. Excellent book. Action all the way. From near death to victory and revenge.

Apparently you can’t hav a spy book without a female interest. The man just lost the love of his life, in a horrible way, his mission is to get revenge, yet so good to know that he is still able to notice the oh so obvious and convenient female character.... That and two thirds of the book have nothing to do with his ‘revenge’

Not good. Plot holes, parts with poor grammar and wording. Something that happened 4-6 chapters previously was suddenly back. At the end some one went from a her to a he with no explanation. Only finished it because I was on a long flight with nothing better to do

Great series Worth the read !!. Action packed. Amazing descriptions of all the places. Thor has the ability to put you in the scene. As a watcher overlooking the action! Thank you sir!

Absolutely amazing! Well done.. This book has to be one of the best one to date. Brad takes you inside Russia wilderness and he made me feel like I was there, in the deep snow and I felt the freezing cold weather. From start to finish, this book had me at the edge of my seat. Looking forward to the next book.

Completes the story from Spymaster. This is good. It completes the story from the previous novel. We finally get to see how Scot works in the COLD since he was a Member of SEAL Team Two. Kinda sad what happens. But Scot gets them in the end. I liked it and believe others will too.

Bravo 👏🏻. Backlash is Brad Thor’s best Scot Harvath novel to date. Fast-paced, action-packed, and hard to put down. Mr. Thor struck a perfect balance throughout the story between frustrating conflict and satisfying resolution. If you’re a Scot Harvath fan, I think you’re really gonna like this 👊🏻

Terrible. Formulaic, unoriginal, populated by wooden characters. The book is the literary equivalent of fried sawdust.

The best!. Thrilling. Touching. Suspenseful. Bad guys get their just desserts.

One of his best. Different.. In this, Brad Thor picks up from the unmitigated tragedy at the end of his last book. It is different from others as Harvath spends nearly the whole narrative as very disadvantaged prey. He must deal with the psychological impact of the immediate horrific losses he witnessed to must master himself to survive and respond. Exciting throughout.

Backlash. Classic Brad Thor. Fast-paced, crisp story lines, and superb character development. Thor never disappoints!

Outstanding book. I have loved THOR’S books and this is one of the best. It is fast moving and gripping with a great story. I am just sorry that I have finished it.

No plot. This book has no plot. It is just a series of the “hero” trying to escape from Russia and chapter after chapter of him doing exhaustive efforts that stretch him to physical limits page after page. The author forgot to insert a story. I usually like his books, but thought this was boring and totally unbelievable.

Captivating. I can’t get enough of this series, the characters and storyline take me away to their world. You can’t put the book down.

This book raced along. I really enjoyed this book as it was very exciting and fast moving. I know nothing about that part of the world so found that very interesting. It seems rather topical that now in 2022 we are dealing with a similar sounding Russian president.. I wish authors would allow their men to have deep and satisfying relationships instead of killing off their loved ones. We like them to have a modicum of happiness after all they work so hard entertaining us. A fantastic book-: one of those you stay up late reading into the small hours!,
