BookEmpire - Eehh
It was obey not the best I usually like the enemies to liver trope but this was kinda not that well fleshed in my opinion and wow the way no one trusts her when she talks about the brother it’s a quick read and others may enjoy it but I have read better ones
xx1jm1xx - Hilarious!
Loved this book, I got so caught up in it I started reading it at noon and couldn’t put it down until I finished at 6 pm!

I finished this book in less than 24 hours! I stayed up until 3am reading and picked it up again before work the next morning! And was even late because of it. The dialogue is witty and I actually laughed out loud once or twice.

JBggsxx - Fun!
This book was a blast to read. Couldn’t stop smiling from beginning to end! Loved the humor and was definitely one of the funniest books I’ve read.
Iris/시은 - Loved it
Majority of this book was so strong plot wise and extremely hilarious. I feel like I learned so much and was disappointed when I realized I was nearing the end of the main couple’s story. I wish the ending was as strong as the beginning of the story, but I’d still recommend this book to anyone looking for a beautiful and funny love story.
RavenclawNWA - Favorite Christina Lauren book to date!

Endew - Conflicted
I am a big fan of Christina Lauren. Beautiful series is one of my favorite book series. I enjoyed the book. I enjoyed the story line and the writing is witty and funny. However, I feel that it could have had a lot more sexy times. I feel like the writing is definitely becoming PG.
melat a. - Fun and fresh
Love the characters and the dynamic between olive and ethan and love the way their romance played out. the relationship between ami and dane was interesting and added some obstacles in olive and ethan’s love story.

bdavis82 - Such a fun read
I read this book so quickly because I just couldn’t put it down! Also the cover of this book is gorgeous. I’m tempted to buy the physical copy just to have on my shelf.
goosemom3 - Horrible
I couldn’t even make it past the first 4 chapters. The constant “Betty bop” “Michelle Obama” references were confusing and silly.
capitolcats - A funny & perfect summer book
I absolutely loved this story! It was cute and funny and just the sort of thing I needed right now. I love how Olive was strong and independent, but stubborn and vulnerable. I love that her family was full of feminists and women who support one another. Her hate of Ethan was relatable and hilarious and the natural progression of hate to love worked out in perfect timing where they didn’t get together too fast and their fights made sense and got them to where they ended up. I think it’s important that Olive began to figure her life path on her own and realize she’s not a bad luck magnet, but a series of unfortunate accidents/mistakes that can be undone and she can grow into what she wants to be even if she didn’t know it right off the bat. I also like that the CL books are widening the diversity of characters. It was nice to see a Mexican-American protagonist. This book was just fun and wonderful!
shabnam arora - Sweet and sour
Short and sweet, enemeies-to-lovers romance which seem to be the homeground of Christina Lauren. I've been a religious follower of Beautiful series and I went in with same expectations.
It's different!! In feel, in tempo and character sketching
Ethan and Olive HATE each other. Their siblings are married and they can't stand each other. She thinks he's obnoxious and rude, he thinks she's bitter and jealous.
She's unluckiest girl alive and he's the opposite.
A last minute case of food poisoning leaves Ethan and Olive embarking on a pretend honeymoon and the series of adventure and mishaps that follow, brings them closer.
It was a bit disappointing cause I've read was way better books in the genre. Writing was very simplistic and straight forward

Bookbruin - Great Enemies to Lovers Romance 💛
When I saw the cover and read the synopsis for The Unhoneymooners I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. Not only was it a funny and entertaining enemies to lovers romance, but it also had so much heart. I loved how important the bonds of family (for better and for worse) were in this story. Olive's family especially was such a treat and I really enjoyed this glimpse into the Mexican-American family.
Ethan and Olive did some serious verbal sparring through this book and they really lived up to the "enemies" portion of the trope. They each gave as good as they got and I loved their banter and back and forth. The forced proximity trope is always a fun one and seeing Ethan and Olive's impression of the other evolve and change as they spend more time together was wonderful. It's amazing how one look or moment can change the course of an entire relationship.
As much as I enjoyed The Unhoneymooners, I can't say that I completely loved it. I think a lot of that has to do with Ethan. He certainly had some swoony moments, but honestly I'm still a little unsure how I feel about him. I don't want to be too spoilery, but mistakes are definitely made by both Ethan and Olive and a decision late in the book had me wanting to throw my kindle across the room. I understand family loyalty, but it still hurt my heart so much. I think it really colored my opinion of Ethan and Olive's relationship and caused me to not feel the "to lovers" part of the trope one hundred percent. I think having Ethan's POV sprinkled into the story would have been really helpful in understanding his character better. The epilogue left me smiling though and really brought the book full circle. Overall, this was a great read and I'm already looking forward to the next Christina Lauren adventure!
*I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book*
~Mindy Lou~ - Really enjoyed!
I always know I'm going to enjoy a light and funny read when I crack open a Christina Lauren book. Romcom is my favorite genre to read solely because it takes me away from the stress of real life. I've learned that this author can deliver every time.
This is an enemies to lovers trope that took me by surprise with how they became enemies. I was baffled for the first half of the book by what truly caused Ethan to switch his emotions like he did. Once we learned the true reason, I wasn't expecting it. I liked the twist in the story even if it is a bit angsty, and I love when a typical trope can surprise me.
Due to Ethan's snub of Olive, I had a slow burn love for his character. I loved Olive immediately but you also get to know her better as the story progresses. When they are forced together on their siblings honeymoon, you really get to see more depth to both of their characters. They were fun when they were full of enemy snark and they were adorable when they become an actual couple.
They are flawed characters and I liked that about them. This also had some fun side characters. If you want something fun with a bit of angsty twist to the plot, I highly recommend The Unhoneymooners.
ledoss - Awesome read.
Awesome book! Laugh out loud humor, romance, light steam and just the right amount of tribulations, make this one of my top reads. Identical twin sisters, who could not be more different, two brothers who again are totally different, come together in this fun romance. The interactions of the crazy, loving family, the ex-paramour and “Calamity Olive” are the sweet base of this outrageous, fun romp. Don’t miss this one!
