Dnf. Made it 24% before giving up. A quarter of the way in and I’m bored to tears waiting for something to happen. We still haven’t met either of the main guys she’s supposedly in a triangle with. But i guess i forgot about the triangle or missed that in the blurb, because we HATE triangles. Not sure why I downloaded this to begin with. But being a quarter of the way into it and still having no clue the direction this is taking...yah. I’m done. I give up. The blurb talking about the uplifting novel just falls flat for me.

Loved It!. Kiley Dunbar loves her characters and fills them will like able/love able traits making you care, no, deeply care about them thus creating spell-binding reading. I didn’t want to put it down. And, since I’ve acted in some Shakespeare, I feasted on each and every quote that neatly wound itself in the chapter pages. Bravo and thank you so much, Kiley!

A light and frothy escape during these very heavy times. This book has everything you could want in a romantic comedy novel: a quaint but iconic setting described so well you feel like you’re there, a plucky heroine with enough faults to be realistic, and hot aspiring actors! Without spoiling too much, choosing A Midsummer Night’s Dream as the play within this book also serves as a wonderfully clever mise en abyme. My one gripe is that I feel the pacing was sort of off: there was a little too much time spent setting up Fran and not enough to sell us on the idea that Kelsey and Johnathan are really in love, but it was still a fun read. Give it a shot! You won’t regret this cool find.

Very aptly titled. Loved this book couldn’t put it down. Could feel the atmosphere of the place, only visited once but not really long enough, just partita day out from broadway, definitely have to thorough visit when things are more normal more safe

One summers night. This was the first book I’d picked up to read on my iPad for years. Being in isolation during the covid -19 epidemic this book gave me great happiness and a purpose to get up out of bed when nothing much else to do. I couldn’t wait to turn the pages and I prayed for the happy ending. Thank you for keeping me occupied and getting me back into reading.

Shakespeares’ Summer. I loved this book! Adding it to my reading list when it became Book of the Week on Apple Books, I left it purposely until the warm, sunny weather arrived. What drew me in was it is such a descriptive book. From Kelsey standing in front of Shakespeares’ home when she was a teenager & describing all the floral smells coming from the garden...to strolling by the river. From Kelsey & Mirrens’ gin afternoon tea on the sun baked roof terrace...to the mesmerising theatrical gala. Not to mention two obviously gorgeous male characters! All those moments made me feel like I was experiencing them too & made me want to visit the beautiful Stratford-on-Avon once again. I’m looking to reading the second instalment of Kelseys adventures!

Draws you in from the very first page. Love this book, couldn’t believe it was a first. Really well written, love the Shakespeare thread running through. You can’t fail to take the central character to your heart. I’ll definitely be looking to read more by this author

Inspired. I have never ever thought about visiting Stratford upon Avon until now. I felt as though I was there and am missing it already!

One Summers Night. I was feeling down and picked up this book to read for a few minutes but couldn’t put it down and now I can read it again slowly and also learn more about Shakespeare and Stratford. It was most enjoyable and can thoroughly recommend it!

One Summer’s Night by Kiley Dunbar. This was a first class read. There was romance, fun, a great story, interesting characters. Oh, and breathtakingly beautiful descriptions of the sets for the Midsummer Night’s Dream play. And gorgeous descriptions of various places in and around Stratford-upon- Avon. A treat from beginning to end. Kiley, you are a beautiful and heartfelt writer!

One summers night. A wonderful book, of young love in Stratford. A must read for anybody who has visited Stratford. It’s light and airy romantic but not soppy or sexy. Predictable near end but the only way to end this story. Now on to 2nd story.......

Excellent!. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I look forward to the second one which follows. Was a heart warming love story which I’m sure others have been through themselves and can relate too. I would recommend reading this, such a lovely book.
