No Index, Really?. I wanted to know how to print a spreadsheet. The notation ‘file’ does not appear on my Numbers screen. This booklet does not include an index. Short of reading over 200 pages, there is no way to find the information I need.

Another must-have manual from Apple. A must read for anyone wanting to get started using the Apple Numbers software, as it explains pretty much every scenario that you might encounter while creating a spreadsheet. It’s also an invaluable resource for the more seasoned user, as most people cannot remember every single option or feature that’s available to them. I have been using Numbers since Version 5 on my old PowerPC laptop, and it has come such a long way since the olden days; it is definitely an invaluable piece of software for my business and personally for accounting use mostly. I also use the Apple Pages app pretty much every day for contract preparation, reports, transmittal and so on; occasionally I have the need for the Keynote program as well, but maybe just a few times per year versus the daily use of the Numbers & Pages apps.

Best Spreadsheet Ever!!. I’ve been using spreadsheets for over 40 years and Apple really broke the mold with the design of Apple Numbers. I find it’s page layout approach works excellently for me. I’ve got a sheet with multiple tables and charts to manage my credit cards and cash accounts. This approach works much better for me than how traditional spreadsheets work. I can find almost everything I need to do in this User Guide and it’s Search feature extends to outside the book, so I’m never without a solution.

Table of Contents. If anybody from Apple reads these reviews, please add a table of contents to all of the User Guide Books. It sure would make it a lot easier to look for specific topics.
