No. Just a poorly written book with a silly plot. Who knows who the ghost writers were? Their vocabulary may be limited. They used sex and off-color language when they were at a loss for words.By nodefinition could this book be called a work of literature.

Bloody College Campus. I have been a fan of Virgil Flowers since he first showed up in the Prey series. He's funny, he's fierce, he draws all the ladies in. Bloody Genius started off very slow but once I hit 70%, it was like pedal to the metal suspense. There were a few too many people and subplots in this installment so I found myself skimming some parts to get to the good stuff. The best part of this book was Trane. I need her to show up in some more of Sandford's books because she. is. awesome!! As always, I love Virgil's humor and one-liners. I can't wait to see what kind of craziness he can get into next.

Bloody Genius. I have read all the prior Virgil Flowers novels and thought they were 5 stars excellent. This one was confusing and the exchanges between characters were written like an amateur writer. If John Sandford wrote this, he was distracted or half asleep. Frankly I lost interest by page 205.

Virgil Flowers series. I am so sad, that I just read the last book in the series, called bloody genius. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Definitely not the old Virgil. Most of the 1st half of book is a boring waste of time. (Another reviewer suggested Sandford had not even written this book. I wonder too.) The 2nd half gets Virgil back doing police work. However, the manner in which crime is ‘solved’ stretches credulity. Good apprehension of bad guy. But then are closing couple pages foretelling Virgil’s demise?

AI. A bit slow in places, but overall good read. It could have concluded more quickly as it wasn’t hard to figure out after introducing the computer geek.

Bloody Genius. I am so disappointed in this book. As a huge Sandford fan I can tell that he did not write this book. It fell flat at every turn, and there were so many things that Virgil Flowers would NEVER say or do... It’s clear to me it was written by one or more ghost writers, and people that weren’t from Minnesota! The U of MN colors are not RED and Gold- they are burgundy and gold- and that’s just one small example of the mistakes that were made. I never thought Sandford would be so deceptive.

Virgil F. Flowers!!. Another great Virgil story. Fast paced, great characters and well written as usual.

Always convoluted with multiple avenues.. However, Sanford always gets it right in the end. Love this character and hope Virgil will be around awhile.

Another great Virgil Flowers novel!!. This latest Sanford effort is outstanding! Once I started, I couldn’t put it down. The plot is excellent and the characters - both old and new - were interesting and engaging. At times, it made me laugh and other times cry. You really want to believe there are people like Virgil Flowers in this world. I highly recommend this book. It is an excellent read.

Bloody genius. Read previous on all Virgil this book is not readable. Completely boring terrible 😞 I don’t know who wrote this do not waste $14.99

Page turner. Another hit from Sanford. Can’t wait to see what Virgil is up to next!

Love Virgil & Frankie. I have loved and enjoyed every single book from The Virgil Flowers series and continue to read each one again and again! I love his adventures and especially now with Frankie expecting, I was hoping you’d include the birth at least in this book!! I would have given this book a 5 Star Review, however since you didn’t include what happened I guess I’ll have to wait 2 more years? Disappointed, tsk, tsk, tsk😕

Bloody Genius. Love the Virgil Flowers character with his wit and humor. So many clues but still couldn’t solve it on my own yet author didn’t throw a curveball at the end to wrap up the story. Thoroughly enjoyed the writing style and storytelling.

Bloody Genius. Flowers like the Davenport series is great. Unfortunately every once in awhile a writer loses it. This is one of them.

I dunno, man. This felt like it was story by Sanford, actual writing by someone else.
